If you live somewhere for very long you can pick up an accent in no time. My friend picked up an accent just from talking to her next door neighbour who had recently moved to the US from England.
Who cares if this is some PR stunt, or whatever ulterior motives it really is about. At the end of the day, Madonna and Perez are bringing the entertainment. I love it!
I'm a Brit who has lived a decade in the US. I have a really strange mix of an accent. I try to hold onto my english accent but it can't be helped that I have picked up a bit of 'yank' when I talk. Same for Madge I'm sure.
