They're engaged and now…they're moving in together!
Even though they were rumored to be shacking up last summer, the pair have recently been living apart.
Now, Jamie Lynn Spears and her babydaddy, what's his face, are house huntin' in Mississippi.
They supposedly made an offer of $300K on a three-bedroom house in the town of Liberty.
It's fancy! The house has got them marble floors and a game room!
An insider says, "Jamie Lynn is really excited over having a home of her own."
At least she's keeping the kid in Louisiana. Hopefully it will have a more normal life there - whatever "normal" is for the Spears family!

Why is everyone making a big deal out of this? To address a few comments…..she is 17 and he is almost 19. She has the $$ to pay for the house, and with her parents permission, then it is all legal. Everyone acts like it's such a tragedy that she's having a baby. Big EFFIN deal! Lots of teenagers have babies, that doesn't make them trashy or sluts or terrible people. And of COURSE she doesn't know much about raising a baby, she's never had a baby. Just like millions of other first time moms, she will learn as she goes, learn by trial and error. Babies don't come with a handbook. There is not one first time mom on this earth that knew exactly what she was doing, whether she is 14, 17, 25, 35 or 45!!! And for those saying that they should have put the baby up for adoption, who are you to judge? Do you think it would be so easy for YOU to carry a baby for nine months, go through labor and delivery and then just hand him over to strangers? WHY would someone do that if they are completely capable of raising the baby on their own? Just b/c she's 17 doesn't mean she can't do it, and she has a great family support system: her mom, her aunts/uncles, cousins, friends, and Casey's family. Everyone needs to stop being so judgemental.

I live in a town not far from Liberty, and I know of NO piece of property/house/land that costs that much in that little town. It's a blink while you drive through and miss it type of town. I think the $300K mark is wrong. Check your resources.

The legal age of consent in Louisiana or Mississippi may be as young as 16 or 17. So I don't know if there are any laws in those states that can stop a 19 yr old guy to legally live with a 17yr old.

Kentwood, LA, and Liberty, MS, are no more than 15 or 20 min. tops apart. And it trips me out to hear the media refer to Liberty as a "town," as it's more like a village, if that. Kentwood is basically on the state line.
