Re: Melanie – They're not the subject of this comment section… obviously there is an overwhelming amount of discourse on those subjects. Sarcastic bitch.

Shvart (verb): To leak vaginal blood, whether from menstruation, miscarriage, or abortion.

Example: I had a really heavy flow today and shvarted all over my wedding dress.

I propose we use this word often enough so it can make it into Webster's, like Bootylicious. And as a second triumph, it will hopefully make this Shvarts girl miserable for generations to come.

Re: Slap Happy – Actually there isn't enough discourse on any of those important issues and this "artist" is getting more media than the lot. People are so backward.. Who cares what she does, humanity is at stake at all over the world and this crazy media outburst over some hoax made by an undergrad at Yale. And thanks for calling me a bitch just because I'm a girl, I prefer genderless name-calling, fuckface.

It was released by a Yale spokesperson that it was a "creative fiction" piece, about the ambiguity of a womans body. But still, I'm just as disgusted by the fact that she used this topic, and in the manner that she did, as I was at the initial "art project".

So this was a "creative fiction" piece. Will someone please explain to this country bumpkin what exactly the point was? To raise awareness about abortion? To raise awareness about the extremes people will go to for "art?" I think she may have a point in there somewhere, but it was lost in the drama she caused.

It's a damn shame HER mother didn't have those herbs.

I'm sure its real…ivy league just means radical fuckhead now. This is ABSOLUTE proof this generation will destroy life as we know it.

Maybe a draft would be a good way to thin the herd. (Not serious, just making a point)

ok - i have been thinking about this a lot today and as someone who has many friends who have suffered miscarriages - the rule of thumb is you can't - or shouldn't - get pregnant for three months after miscarrying. sooooo - if she is telling the truth she could not have done it more than three times. i honestly put her up there with the gun wielding freaks out there - she has obviously lost it if this is a true story. who would do that to their body? it is also my experience that people that go to the ivy leagues are book smart…but fucking idiots when it comes to common sense.

    Found this on CNN

Yale University officials issued a strongly worded statement Thursday night explaining that a student's shocking claim that she had artificially inseminated herself "as often as possible" and then took drugs to induce miscarriages for her senior art project was "creative fiction."

The student, Aliza Shvarts, told three senior Yale University officials, including two deans, that she did not do the things she claimed in her art project, according to the statement.

Peres I'm ashamed that you referenced that ridiculous "anti-liberal" site. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have to look far to find an anti-gay article its midst.

Sick and twisted BITCH. I'm all for self expression, art and womens rights but you have crossed a serious ethical line here. Even though she didn't go thru with it, you have to be sick in the head to think of something like that.

"Statement by Helaine S. Klasky — Yale University, Spokesperson

    New Haven, Conn. — April 17, 2008

Ms. Shvarts is engaged in performance art. Her art project includes visual representations, a press release and other narrative materials. She stated to three senior Yale University officials today, including two deans, that she did not impregnate herself and that she did not induce any miscarriages. The entire project is an art piece, a creative fiction designed to draw attention to the ambiguity surrounding form and function of a woman’s body.

She is an artist and has the right to express herself through performance art.

Had these acts been real, they would have violated basic ethical standards and raised serious mental and physical health concerns."

    117

Yeah…that's what I thought…who could possibly even get pg 9 times in 9 months??/It would be virtually impossible. Chick was never sperminated. She was just on the rag. Now that's art!

haha i thought what she did was brilliant, I mean look at all the controversy she caused!!! If she wanted to make an artistic statement, then it doesn't get any better than this. Gotta say, shes pretty fucking hardcore.

Yes, she certainly created a lot of publicity! But to what end? Nothing was accomplished, other than the fact that now people know who she is. So I guess congratulations are in order for her, now she can bask in her 15 minutes…but I personally don't think it was worth it.

    121

Perez that is a crazy right wing blog, I wouldn't really take it seriously. Woman can and have been able to induce miscarriages using natural methods for centuries. The problem is that the natural methods are very reliable. But abortions were performed as far back as the Romans. So she definitely could have done what she is claiming. I hope to God that she didn't, but this crazy right wing blog proves NOTHING! That is an insanely biased source.

Yale should be ashamed they let someone so STUPID into their school! HAHAHAHA!

  23. Erin says – reply to this

    123

People.. Of course she is lying! Particularly if she is claiming to have had 9 miscarriages in 9 months.. Not possible.. Doesn't she know HOW you get pregnant.. You body has to ovulate, and if you have a miscarriage it takes weeks sometimes just to stop bleeding, let alone to stop ovulating again.. Now is she had said it took her 4 years to do this, I might be believe this.. But lord almighty she's a bad liar.

Of course none of you needed the anatomy lesson.. I just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.

She needs to have her butt kicked OUT of Yale! I'm glad this didn't got through as an exhibit…I wonder who got to her before she displayed such filth to the world? She needs serious help mentally to even come up with such a bizzare way to get attention!!! I'd give her a BIG FAT "F" for this stunt!!!! I still think she's one big SICK wack job!
