Hi, I'm NOW and EX Mariah Fan. I was in line last night for hours and hours and hours too awaiting to meet Mariah and get her autograph. I took the day off from work to stand in line for hours to get the chance to see her.
I'm sooo mad that I got as close as I did and then she just up and bailed on the fans. That's so WRONG! Why make a commitment to meet and greet 1000 fans with FYE if you only meet 900. How does that make the remaining 100 feel. Like CRAP and regretful that we've supported her for all these years.
I've attended 2 MADONNA signings and she never did this. She signed every single person in line who purchased her CD, For FREE (same purchase the CD and receive a wrist band for those who said she would charge in earlier posts. Same as Mariah). MADONNA not only signed every person with a ticket she then signed the extra 200 people who showed up as well. Now that's how you stay in the business and keep your fans for over 25 years.
Mariah needs to learn from MADONNA how to treat your fans. Mariah says 'I'm so grateful for my fans' everytime she get's a chance and then she does this to us.
From now on I'm no longer a Mariah fan and I will only support MADONNA.
I've also called the manager at the FYE store and they have agreed to take returns even on opened Mariah Carey CDs for those who were in line and didn't get to meet Mariah. So, I'm taking mine back!

3 years ago, I won a contest here in L.A. for a signed book from Madonna. About 500 of us went to a bookstore in Brentwood, CA. We waited for 4 hours, but eventually we got about 50 seconds of up front time with her to say what we wanted to say, get a hug, etc. She was amazing. It was two at a time, and VERY personal.
Madonna fucking rocks! I thank'd her for giving a big "FUCK YOU" to all the people that hate her and try to keep her down. She grabbed both my hands and thanked me very sincerely. Classy lady!
