Not only did she show up over TWO HOURS LATE but took her time signing autographs for the 1000 fans in line who had GUARENTEED meet & greet wristbands on by pre-ordering the album from FYE. The problem is, at 1am with still about 100 fans in line who had been waiting over 8 HOURS to meet her, Mariah gets up and leaves the stage - with no announcement - and goes home.

I like Mariah's new single "Touch My Body" and alot of her other songs but I have NO interest in meeting her. She seems vain, fake and DESPERATELY DETERMINED to achieve diva status—a status reserved for women like Tina Turner and the mighty Aretha Franklin. I got my autograph and had a conversation with her…….she is the BEST! How many times has Madonna signed CDs for fans? What about Janet? NONE……Mariah has done personal signings for her past few albums AND also for her Perfume. She is the biggest name in music and is awesome for still taking the time to do this. I got my autograph and I'm happy. Sorry, but the extra 1,000 on standby were dumb for even thinking they had a shot. Universal City and FYE had that place like a madhouse. Next time get there early…….I got there at 1pm and got my moment with her just before midnight. If u wanted an autograph u shoulda got there earlier…..I drove 2 hours and paid my dues. First off, I was there at that signing (starting at 11AM). I drove from San Diego the night before, stayed at a hotel, and stood in line like everybody else. Mariah didn't show up at 6PM, she didn't get there until 8PM, which was irritating, but she has been working herself hard since this is the first week of her CD release. I got to meet Mariah at 10PM. She signed it "Love you, MC." That is how she signed every CD. There were no personalized autographs for ANYONE. Security was very tight, we were not even allowed to take pictures (understandable). I was very happy with how this turned out. It could have been better, but I got to meet Mariah Carey, who was so sweet and genuine and was really happy to see all of her fans. Also, the last hundred people who were left were in a standby line. This means that they were not guranteed to meet Mariah, and when we got our wristbands we were given a sheet of rules that specifically said that not everyone would get to meet Mariah and the event could end at any time. I'm surprised that she even stayed until 1AM. I think that is definitely commendable on Mariah's part.
