Not only did she show up over TWO HOURS LATE but took her time signing autographs for the 1000 fans in line who had GUARENTEED meet & greet wristbands on by pre-ordering the album from FYE. The problem is, at 1am with still about 100 fans in line who had been waiting over 8 HOURS to meet her, Mariah gets up and leaves the stage - with no announcement - and goes home.
Talk about unprofessional. What happened to being so fond of your fans?

Three States Subjected To "Martial Law Sweeps"
Federal law enforcement agencies co-opted sheriffs offices as well state and local police forces in three states last weekend for a vast round up operation that one sheriff's deputy has described as "martial law training".
Law-enforcement agencies in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas took part in what was described by local media as "an anti-crime and anti-terrorism initiative" involving officers from more than 50 federal, state and local agencies.
Given the military style name "Operation Sudden Impact", the initiative saw officers from six counties rounding up fugitives, conducting traffic checkpoints, climbing on boats on the Mississippi River and doing other "crime-abatement" programs all under the label of "anti-terrorism".
WREG Memphis news channel 3 reported that the Sheriff's Department arrested 332 people, 142 of whom were fugitives, or "terrorists" as they now seem to be known.
Hundreds of dollars were seized and drugs recovered, and 1,292 traffic violations were handed out to speeding terrorists and illegally parked terrorists.
The authorities even raided businesses and store owners, confiscating computers and paperwork in an effort to "track down possible terrorists before something big happens".
The Sheriff's Department is determining if and when they plan another round-up.
The operation, which involved police, deputies, the FBI, drug agents, gang units and even the coast guard, is just one example of how law enforcement at the state and local levels is being co-opted and centralized by the Department of Homeland Security via massive federal grants.
It also highlights how the distinction between crime and terrorism is becoming irrelevant.

Forget innocent until proven guilty, you are now a terrorist suspect until you are told otherwise.

This form of proactive policing is a phenomena indicative of a once free state rapidly declining into a authoritarian police state.
If there was a real terror threat in these states, it would surely make sense to for law enforcement agencies to target known trouble areas, and follow up on already existing leads. Instead we are seeing local police and the coast guard being recruited to randomly target anyone in any area as possible terrorists.
Surely if there was a real terror threat, this activity would harm the effort to combat it.

Of course, such activity is clearly not related to a real and tangible terror threat, it is related to the ongoing effort to vastly increase the size and scope of the federal government and increase the power it has over American citizens.

I have been around for awhile and I have NEVER IN MY LIFE heard of someone signing 1000 CDs. Most people sign like 100 at most. So, before you falsely bash Mariah, let's remember that she signed for 6 hours and signed all 1000 people's. Mariah is amazing and loves her fans more than any singer I know!
Ok so im not this big O Mariah fan like some gays……but i did go last night and did pre order the cd and i did get to meet her and yes she was interacting with the CROWD and i was shocked about that becuase she is a BIG O DIVA!!!……everyone knows that. One i stepped up she looked up at me and said HI!! I let her know that she was fierce and she was like thanks hun….and she said love ya!!…..it was a pretty cool experience….i am gon say though that if i was one of the 100 peeps left out i would have been mad but i guess it happends with alot of signings!!!

She was there till 1AM!!! That's a really long time!!! 5 hours signing autographs. And not everyone was guaranteed an autograph, the first thousand were guaranteed a place in line. With autograph signings you never know if you are actually going to meet them. I waited last time she came out and didn't get to meet her, I got over it. Mariah isn't the one who organized the event, FYE did and I'm sure they and CityWalk close before 1AM.

Well, I'm the guy that got quoted saying that Mariah is "The Big Bad Wolf", that came from a fan asking me the term "lamb" which is what she calls her fans. I don't mind standing in line for an artist that was not the issue. The issue was her jut splitting without saying goodbye or excusing herself from her obviously devoted fans. For those who are defending Mariah Carey, you had to be there. She did treat her standing fans like they were not people. One hour in, the presenter says its a matter of minutes. Later on he says she'll be out in some seconds. No, rather two hours of feet throbbing. After investing an hour thinking you shouldn't leave cause she might just come in the next couple of minutes. You wait. Just plain inconsiderate. Imagine tuning into your television at six for Mariah to make an autograph signing. Now imagine tuning in all the while standing and not being able to change the channel. And she finally comes at 8. I realize that celebs don't deserve the lengths fans go to. She needs to remember that the people at the end of the line spent their entire day on this autograph signing debacle. They set aside the entire day for her and had to come back home tired and having wasted their time.
We need to stop submitting and degrading ourselves for famous people. Let's take our self-respect back and treat ourselves the way we do them. We make them believe they are demigods because we treat them as so. It's an extremely flawed society.

I sick of this crap about 'Madonna can't sing'. I don't deny that Madonna is not as good as Mariah or Whitney. But her music really is beautiful. I'm not a fan of hers but after listening to 'X Static Process' from her American Life album I can not deny that Madonna is a very talented woman.
