While her voice is extremely hoarse, she sounds better then the first album. The performance blew but it was not because her voice was off, she just was not into it. Probably too many thoughts about the pending pregnancy.
Maybe she was suffering from morning sickness. But still, I've heard better karaoke!

I loooove Perez, but for the FIRST time I have to disagree with you guys. I don't think she was that bad. She sounded a bit rough but not a 110% mess. I have been to 2 of her concerts. The first one was ok (first CD) but the second was AWSOME! (SECOND cd) She sounded great and looked great at the Nikon theater in NYC. So I do have to disagree…but I still love ya!
This just proves the american public can be sold dog shit and they will all eat it up and comment how tasty it is. This untalented piece of flotsam should get down on her knees and beg forgiveness from the duped public and the true talented greats of the music industry. I feel like I ordered a $5,000 hooker and room service sent a toothless $2 a trick bag lady and then tells me she's beautiful. She has not one ounce of decency inside her. Get down on your knees now and beg forgiveness for the next 30 days from the ghosts of the real talent that went before you. The ones that had more talent in one fingernail than you will ever have in 100 years. Does someone smoke crack and throw a dart at 10 skanks on the wall in order to push the next new thing down the throats of the gullible and stupid?
I wonder if Ashlee Simpson & Leah Dizon are friends.? They look alike (Although Leah is prettier) & both sing bad live, haha.

At least she can hold some sort of note… B. Spears can't even do that… she's a full time lip syncher. Ashlee didn't sound so bad… there are far more famous people who can't sing a lick and seem to find success.
She should stick to lip synching. The song's too low for her, her voice sounds damaged and I have high school kids who sing soooo much better than this. The Pete Wentz look-a-like, no talent needs to find another profession.

It was bad.. but there has obviously been worse.. i think you can only bash someones singing if you can personally sing better… ahem.. sure shes not as good as other vocalists .. but hey .. the song is cute.
Bad sound people. I dunno. She has a nice voice..very soulful sounding..natural. I think that she still has potential to sound amazing once she gets over this pre-teen obssession with being all emo…hope she moves into a more natural..and funky sound..and look. She has a low voice .
Better performance than MARIAH Carey who is overexhausting herself with trying to go over the top with her touching herself.

I haven't heard Ashlee's stuff before, but this didn't sound that bad. Sure she's not classically trained or anything, but most pop singers are crappy anyway. She's not claiming to be Mariah or Whitney, she's more rock/pop, where you voice doesn't have to be as good and it's all about the image.
Maybe I just had low expectations, because this is all I ever really expected her to be.

She actually sounds pretty good. I can only name a few artists that can sing great in the classical sense.. the rest are basically performers. Did she write her own songs? If she did then it really doesn't matter if her voice is flawed.

This is why the music industry is a mess - half the promoted "performers" out there can't sing to save their lives. They record using studio enhancements and push new artists based on looks and perceived popularity.
Things won't turn around for music until the powers that be start getting back to real musicians and singers - not performers, SINGERS - with talent and passion for what they do beyond the fame and $$$.
