It was a little pitchy and depressing. There was no energy. The poor kid flat lined through the whole thing. I couldn't make myself watch the whole thing. The people walking by on the street were more interesting.

Could not understand all of the lyrics but overall I think she did a very good job, plus her ass looks great.

I have always been a fan of Ashley's. I just like her music. I don't think live performances are one of her strengths, but I didn't think it was horrible. And I just really liked the song. I hope she does well. She definitely sounds better than some of those screaming psycho rock singers.

it sounds like the wrong key for her to be singing in. she obviously can't hit the low notes. a couple a flat notes here and there, but that's live for ya, that's how it is.

She and Jessucka have always reminded me of those two sisters in A League of Their Own. The older one has the looks and the talent, and the younger one is totally jealous and competitive. Everybody and they mama has played Roxie in Chicago. Melanie Griffith and Brooke Shields have also been in Chicago. I'm not sure that lifts up Ashleys rep as a singer. Chicago has a revolving door of people whos talent is suspect.

As a professional vocalist, I see a couple of problems that Ashlee was facing in this performance.
First, it was probably really early in the morning which is always a challenge. Also, the key of the song is too low. She needs to move it up a third or so and she wouldn't have a problem hitting those low notes.
People always assume that it's harder to sing high, but actually you can really tell the quality of a vocalist by how they handle the low parts that take a lot of control. overall, I this Perez is being a little harsh.
