i usually never respond to anything, but this blew my mind. why is it so hard for people to just live and let live. if you don't agree with it then that's fine…don't watch it. however this is a country of free speech where one is allowed to say and believe what they want. just because you don't agree with them doesn't mean that what they're saying is wrong, just different. it's such a simple concept yet so many have such difficulty with it.
I understand why fundamentalist Christians are upset. But they divorce themselves from the majority of mankind by shunning those who do not follow their rules. Man interpreted these rules, not God. I do believe in God speaking through the human heart to discern between right and wrong. No minister need interpret truth for me. I was 8 years old when I rejected my church for damning others to hell. My heart tells me that to believe that is to turn your back on the family of man. That is the lesson that Satan teaches, not God.
Dude, this is sort of why I'm scared away of this religion. Sometimes I feel its more like recruitment than anything else. And I totally agree with Oprah on this. If we both end up in the same place, does it really truly matter how we got there?
Re: MADONNA – hmmm only you're wrong… there are some Christians out there who know damn well how to think for themselves… not all of us are a bunch of brain-washed idiots… I for one don't think "new age" equates to "evil"…. some things that are labeled as "new age" are simply old remedies such as using herbs instead of modern medication or using healing crystals… and since science has proven that crystals vibrate ad different frequencies and such (which is how they heal) I have no problems believing that it's just as valid as anything else out there!

I can't see the video, limited at work, but I would like to comment that Oprah is a racist, she assisted in releasing a black male football star from prison after he raped a white,mentally ill underage girl here in our city. After her vicious campaign he was released, the media pressure was too much, the poor little girl had to move out of the county, O had them on her show and edited to make things look different than they were, everything was out of context. the bitch freed a guilty as hell man, because he was a black man accused of raping a white girl.

How can we know what comes after death?? There is no possible way to know because no one has died, seen the after life, and come back to tell about it. Granted there is the book, 90 Minutes in Heaven, but that could be completely made up. There is NO way of know what comes after. If we want to go with the Christian idea of dying and going to heaven, how do we know that only Christians go to heaven, and that Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, isn't just a different sect (loss of better word) like Baptist, Presbyterian, and Episcopalian. We just don't know and there is no way of knowing.

This is not a "new religion" as some have refered to. These teachings are related to Buddhism and Hinduism that teach about the greater consciousness that we, and all things, are connected to. It is very narrow minded to believe there is only "one way" to reach salvation. Growing up as a catholic, I was taught that Jesus is inside my heart, and that we are made in the image of God. In relation to this teaching…this refers to the common consciousness or "spirit" inside us all. There are alot of similarities across religions because of the basic goodness behind them.

It's funny when they say Oprah supports someone who wants the creation of a U.S. Department of Peace, and then it says, "what can we do?" Like, what a weird thing to want to stop. They showed video of her speaking to try and turn people off of her, but really she sounded intelligent and open minded, and engaged me in what she was saying. The ladies in the beginning who said Jesus was the only way sounded fanatical and made me dislike their point of view based on attitude alone. It's sad that after all Oprah does for the world, people who claim to be Christians could still find a way to be negative. Oprah isn't necessarily evil in the traditional sense, but she is being influenced by evil to get a message across that is confusing those that are lost, more then they already are. It time for people to realize Jesus is real, and EVERYONE'S soul is at stake. I don't really think people comprehend how long ETERNITY is. If they did, they would make sure their soul was in the best possible shape it could be in, thus ensuring they were going to heaven, and not hell. Then again most don't even believe in heaven or hell, which is a HUGE mistake. As for Oprah's comment on God be jealous of "her" or not being a jealous god at all, she is sadly mislead, and is taking impressionable people along with her misconception. God isn't jealous of us. HE IS GOD! HE CREATED US! He is jealous of the things we put before him, such as money, people, working, or our desires, also known as IDOLS. The Lord loves us all. He also knows what's best. Please, no one believes Oprah is Satan, but she's definitely not a saint. i think oprah is amazing in the fact that she seems to be living her life in a way that she finds fulfilling. And it seems that people who have been touched by oprah are and feel fortunate to be a part of that. If someone doesn't want to take part in that examination, that discussion, they can opt out. No need to condemn her for holding it in the first place…unless you live in a country where the peaceful, open expression of one's opinions and beliefs is illegal. And if you're not there already? Sad to say, but I have multiple family members that hold that very same belief and I am saddened by it that they have shut out so much in their lives.

Typical Xtian bullshizzz - let's vilify a great, educated, successful and accomplished person who helps thousands if not millions improve their lives by pointing out that she is INCLUSIVE and NOT JUDGMENTAL. OH NO! Oprah is open-minded and accepting of others. Let's put her down for understanding that many religious beliefs are simply concepts. I HATE this aspect of America.
