Well , to be honest with you ,this kind of makes sence in a way, Oprah does think she is better than everyone, and have any of you read the secret ,that book was the stupidest book ever, I actually went back and got a refund and I am a person who could give two shits about 20 dollars, and this book ,common I was at Indigo(for all u canadians) and its pretty much the same , I understand that some people are in the quest for spituality , but news flash , you can't find it ,it has to find you . Hey bonehead didyou listen to what she was saying….or just to what you want to hear. No where in her comments did Oprah say "The bible said God is jealous…" what she said was that during her sermon the minister made the statement. You missed Oprah's comment/point entirely. What Oprah was getting at for those of you who need a Thomas Guide to draw you a map….this popular minister was preaching a statement that went against Oprah's beliefs…..she questions how a loving God can ever be negative towards us…his creations. God doesn't hate fags…people hate homosexuality. All Oprah was saying was different people can reach the same point from different directions (paths). Furthermore, if a person can only see their own path..then they miss out on seeing the entire picture. Think if we viewed earth in the perspective of the sun rise/ sun set..the it would appear that the earth was flat. Think how many decades humans lived in the dark believing that the World was flat. Many people from different religions can have their own version of God….and that's okay.

I think Oprah is right getting this out there but the video is filtered through so much propaganda that watching it without prior knowledge will give the wrong impression of the message she is sending. Fundamentalist Christians need to stop worrying about how everyone else lives and believes and start living and believing their own reality. There is something for people to believe in, that is such an important and oftentimes lost value in todays society. Who cares that its different from right wing Christian sects. If its not your cup of tea, don't drink it and move along. Religion and belief systems are about love, not disproving one another. God made us all different, doesn't that fundamentally imply that we will accept and love him in different ways?

I have found it's better to keep my personal politics and my personal religious beliefs just that. Personal. If Oprah has a different ideas on traditional Christianity then Christians who watch her show should use her ideas as a jumping off point to explore why they believe the things they do. Don't just blindly accept what a minister says and don't blindly accept what Oprah says either. True religious belief comes through sincere thought and study.

NO WHERE did the video suggest Oprah is satan. The video is simply warning people not to be sucked into her confused "religion" just because she's rich and "wise". Now I have been watching Oprah for years and yes shes done great things for people, but that does not make her a "god". Clearly Oprah is very confused. The purpose of showing people the truth of what she believes is important because telling people that there are many ways to heaven is a lie, that has decieved many people, putting them on the road to hell. The ONLY way you can get to heaven is by believing in Jesus Christ and asking for forgiveness of your sins. I wouldn't have a problem with Oprah if she were just out promoting other beliefs but what bothers me is that she's doing it while still claiming to be a Christian. Christians believe that Jesus is the only way. THAT'S WHAT MAKES YOU A CHRISTIAN! If you believe different well okay but don't claim Christianity and misrepresent us.
And for those of you who say that Christians are hypocrites for being judgmental it actually says in the Bible to judge those inside the church but not to judge those outside. That's what they're doing in this video because as long as she claims to be a Christian she is inside the church. 1 Corinthians 5:11-12.

You know I keep hearing more and more about this as of late and regardless of wether or not it sounds really crazy or not, she is fucking herself up by being the way that she is about the whole christianity thing and her whole attitude about wether or not you have to go thru Christ in order to get to heaven. A LOT of people believe that there is only one way to heaven and that is through Christ and she herself was taught that growing up but now she claims that there are many different ways to get to reach salvation and heaven after death. SO…………………as long as she keeps making that statement she is going to meet a lot of opposition from Christians who believe that Christ is the only way for salvation. It seems to me though from the interviews that I have seen of her and what she is stating about this she is being very honrie about the whole issue. I don't even know if she herself believes what it is that she is saying, I just get the distinct feeling that she is going against the grain, just…………………because……………she can and because she is OPRAH.
Cont…….I think she is being really stubborn about the whole issue and she is just trying to send the message that, "hey, I'm Oprah and I can believe the exact opposite of what you want me to and I will. There is def. a residual of rebellion there, why she is doing that now………..???? I don't know. She seems to have an underlying tone of a very self consumed air about her now that she did not have just say like…………um just 2 years ago?? I don't know what she is trying to persue with all of this but I don't see it being a good endeavor, I don't know maybe I am wrong but she should just chill for a while. It is one of those things that it is becoming more about the argument than the issue that is being argued about, ya know what Im sayin'?? Wierd, definitely wierd.
I think it is unfortunate that people attempt to force their beliefs on someone balk at the free discussion of ideas. As soon as religion in this country became a political thing, it all went downhill. That is when the tenets of Jesus' teachings, the faith, hope, and love, went down the drain. Now Christians judge other Christians by their positions on Stem Cell Research, Abortion, and Gay Marriage. Enough already! Stop listening to the Jerry Falwell's of the world, and start listening to the teachings in the Bible.
P.S. My favorite part in the video is when they criticize the one "follower" of Oprah of wanting to creat a U.S. Department of Peace. Oh my God! Save me now!
Catholism is not the same as Christians i.e. (baptist, protestants, lutherans, etc.) Catholics dont try to make everyone else wrong and we definately dont keep saying "jesus" in the "name of jesus" for everything like these christians. Oh and we dont have that tacky christian music.
I can't believe reading these comments how hateful people are. And also very immature. I watched the video and it has some good points, on how Oprah is going against christian beliefs. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs without being judged for it… but if Oprah is going to be New Age, why does she claim to be a christian? She shouldn't claim to be a certain religion and then totally go against their beliefs. It doesn't make much sense. It seems very contradictive of people to preach against racism and freedom of sexuality but to be so hateful of people's religion, especially christians.

That is exactly the feeling that I have been getting on this whole issue. She is just doing this whole religion thing now to see how far she can push her belief system on everyone and how many people will go a long with it. This is the classic case of a celeb getting bored with themselves and they need to see how much they can persue some odd endeavor and this is always the downfall of celebs. Not all believers of God feel that way. I could care less if someone is Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Atheist, or Agnostic. I have known and been friends with people of all beliefs, but I do not appreciate people attacking me for being a believer. I think the message the video is trying to get across is that as Americans, we all have a guilty obsession with pop culture. Some people worship Oprah in a way that some would worship God. It is kind of what John Lennon was trying to say years ago.
As a christian all i can say is that that video makes us look REALLY bad. Please believe me when i say we are not all that crazy!
