I have been thinking this about Oprah since I was a kid. I was always like "mommy, why is she so mean but everyone likes her?" I never got it. I know she has overcome a lot but she does not have the true peace of God in her. She is still angry, full of herself, and has a superiority complex. There is only one way! We won't all end up at the "same place" by taking our own paths. We can make our own choices, but there is only one way to Heaven and it is real. We will all find out soon enough - I'd rather not take such a gamble. I do not believe out of fear, but out of how amazing the earth and life are - this did not come out of nowhere. I have the feeling that while many of you are talking about "crazy Christians", there is a part of your heart that wonders if maybe you are missing something.

First of all I aree with most of what you said. But I have a different view on what Oprah ment when she said "I took God out of the box". I dont believe that she meant she has no religion. It means she took God out of the box than "he" has been put in. She doesnt believe that the image/lable that has been put on God is correct. Its limiting. She believes that God is in us all…I think Oprah is very spiritual and religious.

because christians believe that jesus is god and jesus said so- several times- and god isn't a liar. it's not something christians made up. several witnesses documented him saying this. it's historical fact. the man was even put to death for it. and christians believe it because they feel that he proved it. following the ideas of someone you believe to be right- believing someone is who they say they are- isn't arrogant or "on a high horse". it's called having conviction. which is more than what agnostics have- i have an atheist friend who calls agnosticism "atheism without balls".

I am not a religiousing person, growing up with a nun for a cousin and a very religious familey i do not think religion is a bad thing i dont belive god created earth becase to many explanations for how the world was formed, the univers in general. But the beliefs they follow are for a good cause , everyone should respect each other and that is all she is trying to say. Your salvation is living your life as a kind person who can learn to repect all people. Cristians, muslums, jews, whoever, do good and go to whatever heven you belive in.

Oprah is full of sh**! She's right, you can believe whatever you want to believe, but only those who believe that Jesus is the Savior will be going to heaven. And God isn't jealous of her.
