the craziest thing is that oprah is the most jesus like of anyone in the public eye today. this is why i am not proud i was raised catholic and this is why my daughter is raised agnostic. any fundamentalism in religion is enough to make me want to run screaming from the room because of the narrow-mindedness of the believers.
these people are just one step away from that crazy baptist church… all those members should be shot.
I love Oprah…she has done amazing things for others. However, she needs to get her facts straight before she goes out saying that God is jealous of her.
Exodus 20:4-5 says, "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God…"
In these verses, God is speaking of people making idols and bowing down and worshiping those idols instead of giving God the worship that belongs to Him alone. God is possessive of the worship and service that belong to Him. It is a sin (as God points out in this commandment) to worship or serve anything other than Him.
Lets face it Christians. We are living in a liberal world where everyone must be tolerant of others. However when it comes to Christians and our beliefs… we are 'crazy'.

Christians believe in the Bible, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and most importantly have a relationship with our daddy in Heaven. This "New Earth" and many of Oprahs beliefs are contrary to what the Bible says. Doing whatever feels right to you is not at all what God says. It is what Oprah and the "world" says. I stand firm in faith and love and try not to be too critical of others. We believers have to be aware of what is going on around us and how people are being taught false doctrine. I dont think anyone called Oprah "satan". She does extrodinary things for people, but she will never come close to what Jesus has done and is doing right this very second. They are absolutely right. The New Age heracy is becoming more prolific thanks to "celebreties" like Oprah. She's confused and buys into anything that "sounds good" to her. Then, she tries to get everyone else to believe it too. You really have to be discerning in today's world and not be led astray just because someone famous believes it to be true. Satan is very intelligent and he's got ahold of Oprah unfortunately.

Wow this really needs to be discussed because I am a Christian and I don't believe that what was said in Tolle's book contradicts Christianity. He basically just describes how to get rid of negative thought patterns and how to live in the moment.
He brings up Jesus many times during the book and his beliefs and Oprah's are obviously different. To me, Jesus is the only one who forgives sins. So is there another path to heaven? Maybe is you're perfect. But as for me, I am not perfect at all so this is my only way and that's what I believe.
I don't think anyone should fault Oprah for not knowing what she believes. And this book helps people of all faiths better understand their thinking and live more at peace.
If you deny The Christ He will deny you. What harm am I causing you to believe? Any? I didn't think so. No one can convert you into your beliefs it is a choice. Oprah is using her voice to try to convert people to what she thinks, in my eyes she is just blowing smoke and black smoke it is. If I am wrong about the creator at least I tried to live my life loving my neighbors and giving to the poor and living righteous. Hate me all you want, I still love you!

at the end of the day it really doesn't matter whether or not anyone likes oprah personally. yes her scope is far reaching but it is highly arguable that an actual religion has more range regardless. people are going to believe what they wish, as it should be. oprah explains in the beginning of the video whatever system/ideal brings you to your version of "salvation" should be accepted and not ridiculed. to promote "one way" is entirely ignorant- wake up people. another thing is that oprah has a market to attend to, of which a large majority would read and enjoy this guy's book. easy language, nice message, non-complicated appeals to oprah's larger market. she's a brilliant business women trying to make more paper- good for her! shes a strong female image who i highly admire. but on the same point, my respect for oprah is solely my respect, no one else has to like or enjoy her.

Oprah is misguided. You see, God has given you all free will. With that, you are able to choose to accept Christ, or to deny Him. By denying Him, you choose hell. It is that simple. By accepting His sacrifice, on your behalf, you choose to accept what has been promised. I dont see what the big deal is, why people even try to argue and hate on each other. It is a personal choice.

Wow! I knew it. First of all God isnt jealous of Oprah. Gods a jealous God which means that there should be no other Gods like one of the ten commandments says you should have no other Gods before me. God wants to be your only God thats what it means. Oprah is dead wrong and shes leading other people away from God. I do think shes has done some good in her life but in this aspect shes just wrong and so many people out there will hear of her beliefs and follow them just because they like her. Its sad because there is only one way to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. I hope people can see through this crazy belief she has. She has so many followers that will do exactly as she does because they live vicariously through her, and they have to tune in everyday at 4 to see what Oprahs doing come hell or high water. Well, first off, Jesus didn't write that: someone wrote it about him relying on their memory of every word he said, so no doubt that had to be, at best, a paraphrasing of the exact quote for no one can remember every single word in every single sentence that a person says in their lifetime.
But if we are to believe that that is what Jesus Christ said — word for word and in the exact context in which it's been applied — then in that case, what happened to the souls of all those folks in the Old Testament, before Jesus came along? Should we believe that they are burning in Hell because they didn't go through Jesus Christ?
I'd like you to know that I am a Christian and I believe that we are all given free will to believe what we want. This video is a bit over the top and I think it was totally unncessary for them to make it, as Oprah has done many wonderful things for this world. She is not evil, however I do not agree with what she says and I don't believe she truly understand Christianity because if she did, she may not say such things. In any case, she just believes differently than a lot of Christians and that is ok. It is her choice. I assure you, that most Christians would agree with me. I believe there is only one way and that is through Jesus, but others have their opinions. That is what makes this country (the USA) great- freedom of religion!

Oprah is correct - there are many religions in the world and many ways to believe in a god. The people who made this video are extremely ignorant. Do not assume they are Republicans though. Not all Republicans are religious. Only a few are like this, thinking they are the only people who deserve to live and if you do not think like them and act like them and look like them, you are wrong. The only wrong is intolerance of others and wars against others you do not agree with. There is nothing wrong with self defense, which is why we are in Iraq, but that is very complicated. I wish people would stop ragging on christians. Yes I agree some can go a bit far sometimes but us christians are not mindless freaks. We chose to believe in God. No one forced it on us and it makes a heck of alot more sence to me then people who believe in the "big bang" theory. Yes a bang caused this world. People just don't like the idea of having to answer to someone other then themselves which is fine but I'd prefer to live for something and have hope that were here for a reason not just to live then die and thats the end

She says her preacher said it during a church service and that she disagreed.

I AGREE with this video. I truly believe that you don't need the book "A New Earth". You only need one thing - belief that Jesus is Lord and Savior. HE IS THE ONE AND ONLY WAY AND PATH. NO OPRAH!

I have never commented on this site, but thanks for posting the video. I am a Christian and the bible is clear, I fear for those who will listen to Oprah's very cloudy and WRONG interpretation of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the cross. God is love and he is a jealous God, but in the since that He is jealous of our love, mind, time etc being put onto to things not of him. He is jealous FOR us not of us…that had to be the most ridiculous idea I have ever heard of, He made us, how could he be jealous of us. I will continue to pray that folks will open their eyes and see past Oprah…thanks
I commend the other Christians who have taken the time to spread the word of Christ so eloquently here. In the Christian community there are all types of people. Some are really good at being examples of Christ's love and some have a more difficult time of it. People think that being obedient to God will cause them to give up their freedom, when in all actuality, obedience IS freedom. There are so many hate filled comments about Christians here and we are told to expect that. We are also taught that "He that is within you is stronger than he that is in the world." Christ is living in is, Satan is living in the world. You all have free will to make the choice you want. God wants you to love him but he won't force you to do so. Life is a struggle. To know that you have someone on your side that loves you unconditionally and offers you the promise of eternal life with forgiveness of your sins is a great comfort to me. The Bible says that God knew us before we were ever knit together in our mother's womb. I like knowing that I was planned. Do we understand everything about God and his Word? No. That is what faith is. Have you ever seen a million dollars? Probably not but you have faith that it exists because you have heard others speak of it and have seen what it can do. Same principle only the money is fleeting, Christ is forever.
I love how this all adds up to one huge plug in for a BOOK that someone wrote about how crazy Obama and Oprah are. Nothing is sacred anymore, not even books about how nothing is sacred anymore.

For all the investigative reporting Oprah has done could she have not figured out who ever was preaching to her was WRONG. The Bible does not say God is jealous of ANYONE or thing. He is jealous FOR us: our time, our attention, etc. If she is so damn smart how come she couldn't figure this out?

This video made me like Opera a bit more. I disagree with her New Age direction, especially The Secret, but most of what she has to say about spirituality is fair.
There isn't just one way. If there was one way, there would be only one person on this planet. Even Christianity has different sects, because Christians can't agree on 'one way'.
Real Christians would disagree with this video. I don't know who these people are, but they want money, not your soul.
