we don't need a war for oil. i'm tired of seeing the national debt rise at such an alarming rate. did you all know we could buy 6 million people new cars, 4 years of college education, a brand new iphone, a house, and the furnishings to go in the house with our national debt? it's disgusting.

David, military families are maybe put there by choice. But if brave men and women weren't signing up and fighting for the war then there WOULD be a draft. Therefore you should be supportive of them protecting your ass. You sure can't stand up for yourself unless it's by putting others down.

I'm not going to state my position either way, but I think it will be pretty obvious after what I have to say. To those who don't support the troops and who want them shot or dead, please leave the country. These are husbands, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters…people who are loved and adored, putting their lives on the line to try and make a real difference in the world and protect their loved ones at home. Yes, we are at war and people are dying, but regardless of what you think, some good is coming out of it and the Iraqis now have new schools, buildings, water sources, etc. They have been killing each other for thousands of years and we are going in to try and stop that. We may have gone about it the wrong way, but there was some method to the madness.
Regardless, those of you who are on here discrediting the valiant and noble efforts of the troops, why are you even wasting your time? You are getting nothing accomplished sitting in your chairs typing on a hollywood gossip site. If you really felt so strongly, you would get out and do something about it, but you don't because you know that your opinions are ignorant and unwarranted.
And to those arguing with these losers…why are you wasting your time? There are just some ignorant people out there who take everything they have for granted. Let them get on with their pathetic, hate-filled lives.

I would rather spend the rest of my life in prison than to go into another country and shoot or contribute to the death of other people. 1st - You don't have to support the war, but you should support your troops. The troops aren't the ones who make the policies. We can't change the fact that we are in a war. We're in a war and we have to go. End of story.
2nd - You can bad mouth us all you want, but just remember that when you do, the troops were the ones that fought and died for your freedom of speech. As a person with a friend over in Iraq with 5 more going over there this summer, I know how important this is. Much of the military has a bad stigma and reputation, which is very untrue. They need the support of people back home, even if it's ones they don't know. If you're interested in doing something more personal, look in to "adopt a soldier" where you are given a soldier to frequentally write and send packages to.
Whether or not you agree with the war- Support them until they all come home.

Thanks for posting this, Perez. We are stationed in Germany and I can tell you that those two locations DEFINITELY need sprucing up. The CASF in particular is very depressing … the military spouses in the area are doing a lot to try to make it look nicer but there is only so much we can do. Thanks for the support!

I'm not going to argue with anyone over this matter, but I think supporting our troops is a good thing, even though we have a president who could probably care less about anyone but himself. My boyfriend was in the military when we entered into Iraq, he's been out for about a year and a half and just last week he got a call saying he was going to have to go back in! For those of you who don't know, it's heartbreaking…he built up his career and established new relationships to have to go back in. Even if you disagree with the war like so many other people at least have some decency and heart.
I can't believe the things I am reading from all you soldier haters. You may not agree with this current war, and I understand that, I don't agree either. But my husband has been to Iraq 3 times, and I suppurt HIM 100%. Tell me this without our armed forces, war or no war, who would be there to help when another natural disaster comes through your town? Soldiers cannot pick and choose which war they do and don't want to be apart of. They enlisted because they believe in their country. HOOAH!

I'm an Army officer and physician. I've been to Iraq several times. While I did not vote for W, and think our involvement there was not truly justified, I'm with you. We're there, we have our mates/family/friends/lovers serving there - hey, let's support them. They are not the politicians, so please don't blame them. Remember, for many of us, the military has been a way to an education, a way out of poverty, a way to regain a life (or escape from one), or simply to join a group that accepts you. It's a volunteer Army, but these are our citizens who join. Thank you for supporting them. And oh yea - that dick sniffing video was FIERCE - however, it needs a remix fo'sho. Lawd that chick is nasty right on it!

You know it surprised me to find this on this site but I want to think Perez for putting this up. So many people take for granted those who are willing to give there own lives for someone they've never met just so they can live in a place where they are free and not forced to become a part of some military by the age of 10. It really upsets me that people on here aren't even supportive of our troops. It's one thing to not be supportive of the war or the president, but to not be support of the troops is awful. Even if wmd were not foumd Sadam was killing innocent people and we would have ended up there eventually. Thank you! My husband is overseas right now in Iraq serving his 15 month tour of duty. It is nice to see people supporting the troops even if we all do not believe in the causes they are told to fight for. We may not all agree why we are in Iraq, but we can agree that our troops need us to know that we appreciate them putting their life on the line so our freedoms stay in tact.
