Clinton Wins Big In Pennsylvania!

Filed under: Barack Obama > Hillary Clinton

wenn1762298__opt.jpg

She won by double digits!

By a margin of 55% to 45%, Hillary Clinton outshone her better-funded opponent, Barack Obama, to take home the Democratic presidential primary in Pennsylvania on Tuesday night.

Hillary has now won most of the major states, including Texas, California, Ohio, New York and Florida (thought that one doesn't count and its a shame).

She's in it to win it and not dropping out now!

Discuss.

    1001

Obama is whining prick who had to have fat-ass Oprah try and prop him up. The American people are too smart for his whining, pissing, and moaning!
Why don't you want to debate Hillary any further Obama??? Is it because each time you go on National TV you stick your foot inside?
I will never support Obama, Thanks God Hillary is making a comeback!

  2. Voting for Hillary says – reply to this

No ifs, ands, or buts about it. The shine is wearing off the Obama apple. People realize that his campaign is all rhetoric and no substance. My vote goes to Hillary and I just made that decision in recent weeks…

Give all these stupid fucks crayons instead of voter registration cards. Or maybe if you put whoever the celebretard flavor of the month on a "Voat!" poster, the stupid sheeple in the country will go to the polls.

Just over half the eligible voters in this cunt-ry vote. Maybe they should go to China. Oh, wait…probably couldn't find it on a fucking map.

You know what's worse than an effeminate fat queer? Can't think of anything? Yep…neither can I.

    1011

If Hillary was whining and bitching about how everyone is picking on her she would be called a weak female…but Obama can do it and not get called anything. What does he think the Republicans are going to dish at him.. He really needs to toughen up. Get in the race and fight for it if you want it… stop all of the moaning and playing the "victim" card. WAHH… They are picking on me. Uh.. yeah… everyone is picking on everyone…get used to it. He dished out a lot of dirt in this particular contest, but it didn't go his way in PA.

  12. YES SHE CAN! says – reply to this

    1012

Everytime i ask an obama supporter to atleast give one good reason theyre voting obama they can never debate. idiots! Hillary '08!

  15. Scott says – reply to this

    1015

Don't wet your panties yet… it was 9% in the end. And considering she had a 20% lead a 9 days before the vote, she was sliding… and FAST. She needs to win ALL the remaining primaries with 65% of each - give or take - to pull it out. Considering she hasn't gotten 65% almost anywhere, she is still on life support. And the plug is being pulled.

  16. ringo says – reply to this

    1018

    learn how to spell.
hillary clinton cannot possibly win and is just damaging the democrats in the process. crazy would be the right word for her. go read the nyt.

a recent reader coomment which i wholeheartedly support and agree with.

"Wow, this is the first I've heard of Clinton's comment on Iran, regarding the scenario she proposes if they attacked Israel: "We would be able to totally obliterate them."

Never mind the split infinitive. Let's concentrate on her diction. Obliterate? Here's how the Oxford English Dictionary defines "obliterate":

    a. To blot out (anything written, drawn, imprinted, etc.) so as to leave no distinct traces; to erase, delete, efface.

Let me suggest that Clinton choose her words a bit more wisely. I don't want any president, Republican or Democrat, for whom a flippant disregard for 71 million lives is a staple of his or her foreign policy."

  19. Sam says – reply to this

    1019

Believe it or not but black men have voted for Hillary and white women have voted for Barack… ohhhh the scandal. It is not always about race. You are making it seem like black people are only voting for him because he is black… Is that the message you are trying to send when you call people racist for not voting for him?

Too bad for obama, the YOUNG VOTERS DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER, THAT'S WHY THEY VOTED FOR YOU. They are too
young to remember Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton's 8 wonderful
years. The working people are voting for hillary coz they know
damn well that she and her husband gave this country a
    5.6 T….R….I….L….L…I…O…N DOLLAR SURPLUS….

OUR COUNTRY NEEDS MONEY AND TO RECOVER AND THE WORKING
MAN KNOWS WHO THEY CAN TRUST TO RESTORE IT.

will do what ever they are progammed to do. We lost, we are losers. Hillary won, she is the best and I knew it all along.

I was for Obama, but the more and more I listen to him , he doesn't have a plan for anything that makes any sense. I have
relatives that I want home from the war and Bill Clinton brought
home George Bush Sr. troops, so I know I can trust Hillary to
bring home my troops. Thanks to Pennsylvania for their trust in her also. I was almost fooled by him. There's something about him that's not right.

  42. Radish says – reply to this

Even if Obama does not win, he has opened the door for many other persons of color and he had gone farther than any other minority in this race. Now it will be easier for an Asian, even a Gay person to run. I, am an independent and I wanted Ron Paul to win, but in the end it will be Hillary and McCain, with McCain being victorious.

The smear tactics she uses to get votes is despicable and makes me hope Obama gets in as one dreads to think f the lies and spin she will engulf USA in if she is president. Never liked or trusted her husband, and dislike her even more.Still at a minor push she may ( or may not) be better than the militant fools that currently occupy power.

  52. Gigi says – reply to this

    1052

For all you who say you love Hillary bcause she never gives up well that does is not necesarily a good thing; look at Bush he hasn't given up in Iraq either. Cancer does't give up either, it fights on to the bitter end. Her campaign is bankrupt (which I assume tax payers dollars will have to repay if she wins) if these are the monetry skills she will employ with our tax dollars i fear for the next 4 years if she is the nominee. Having said that I hope she enjoys her Pen win. All the best to the democratic nominees!!

  53. Amy says – reply to this

    1053

That wasn't a big win, her people were anticipating a 15 point lead.
This was just enough to keep her in the race, hardly a big win considering the lead she did have there and the comments Obama made about small-town people and the fact that she was in part raised in Pennsylvania.

The sooner people see through this phoney woman who possesses no beliefs or convictions, the better.

Why is is that Americans seem keen to keep the same two families in power for 20 years? What's next Jenna Bush will become governor of Texas? Chelsea Clinton will become a congresswoman?
    Come on people, vote Obama!

I know that I definitely didn't vote for Hilary and I think it's a shame that people ASSUME that just because I'm a woman, I'll support her.

I think she's only running for President because her husband did and she thinks she has all this "presidential" experience.

I just HOPE that we aren't going for another 4 or 8 years down the shitter, because she'll certainly do nothing for the environment, troops or abortion rights.

All in all, I think we're fucked.

As a 'woman' I am repulsed by your comment. I would never vote for someone just because she is a woman. I am well educated and smart enough to make up my own mind thank you. I am voting for Obama because I am impressed with his strong character. AND inspite of his apparent lack of experience he is the only democrat not running on a bankrupt campaign.. Remember this - because we are already in a recession and Clinton economics are a complete mess. Have we seen the taxation records yet?

    1066

So happy she won by double digits…just donated to her campaign to help her with the next battleground states. I hope she pulls this off. I think the system the democrats use to select a candidate is flawed - I think it should resemble the general election which is winner take all. If that was the case, Hillary would be crushing Obama because she's won almost all of the big states. In the general election votes aren't split, it doesn't make sense to me to do it this way. Just my opinion…go Hillary!!!

    Re: amelie

The gap was double digits - 10 points. That was considered a strong victory, and exactly what she needed. With Barack outspending Hillary 3 to 1, some were expecting a much tighter race. Despite the outspending, Hillary had a strong win. I'm not a crazy Hillary supporter, I just really want a Democrat in the White House…but I do believe she is the better candidate. As I said in an earlier post, the general election is winner take all…she has won the big states. It can't be assumed that all of Hillary's votes in these states would automatically go to Obama…in fact, polls show that a good number of her votes will go to McCain if Obama gets the nomination. That could spell victory for McCain. There's a lot to take into account here…Obama isn't necessarily the one who can win the general…but if he loses the nomination, he certainly has my vote.

    1078

You're all special if you think that this election is going to go for a win for the democrats. Look at the candidates. Skeezy at best. It's hard to understand the youths of America. You all seem jaded at best. As far as credentials go, I don't have any bragging rights. The question is, "How will this country benefit from either of the candidates up for the democratic election?" The answer is, is that they won't. This country is not ready for a woman president, nor is it ready for any other race for a president. This might seem as if the racial card is being thrown out there, but this is mere reality.

All in all, if either of them assumes the role of President, you're best move is to move!

HOW CAN WE ELECT 73 YEAR OLD MAN TO HEAD OUR COUNTRY IN THIS DISTRESSING TIME!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!! We need a change. I´m for Obama, but if Hillary has to be our candidate than so be it — anything is better than McCain…..

I am so happy about this!!! What is it about Obama that makes me nervous. I would welcome an african american president, however this man is not the right choice. It is time for a female president!

Ridiculous. How are so many people so naive?! Because she has stayed in the race so long (esp after knowing she has no chance, even if 90% of things go her way in the future), she is making the entire democrat party suffer in this election. A woman who isn't even strong enough to leave her husband after he cheated, lied, and made a fool of her to the entire country is NOT strong enough to be President. Its a no-brainer!

Oh pleeez! Clinton did NOT win big! She is still in danger of losing the nomination because she clearly does NOT have enough delegates to win. C'mon Perez, let's not be biased and skew the facts!

More importantly, she cannot beat McCain in the general election. Let's trash the old politics and put some fresh meat in the White House this time around.

    Re: B
Actually 10% is not A HUGE GAP in a state that she was partly raised in, that she was leading by over 20 points just a few weeks ago, and one that was offended by comments made by Obama just a few days ago.
It is a lot less than what her people were anticipating.

so if you don't know anything, keep your mouth shut!

Way to go Hillary. Perez, I'm psyched that you are supporting her. The most important thing in the end though is for the Dems to unite behind whichever candidate is on the ballot. The republicans will always back their guy, but we bitch and moan about everything and don't vote enough. Come on dems, Hillary or Obama will both make great candidates (esp Hillary!).
