Clinton Wins Big In Pennsylvania!

Filed under: Barack Obama > Hillary Clinton

wenn1762298__opt.jpg

She won by double digits!

By a margin of 55% to 45%, Hillary Clinton outshone her better-funded opponent, Barack Obama, to take home the Democratic presidential primary in Pennsylvania on Tuesday night.

Hillary has now won most of the major states, including Texas, California, Ohio, New York and Florida (thought that one doesn't count and its a shame).

She's in it to win it and not dropping out now!

Discuss.

this is so sad… honestly, what have American politics come to? I can't believe this awful excuse for a candidate is even in the running in the first place. still hopeful for Barack. I am a white woman from Philly and i will NOT be voting for Billary in november

NOOO! Why does this keep happening? Older people voting for those who are fucking up America and leaving us (those who cant vote) with all this bullshit to clean up!!! CHRIST!!!!! We're doomed!!! It just pisses me off because no one sees past the front door. There are so many other problems with America that no one wants to fess up to (besides Health insurance and other surface issues) America is really the fakest country who wears the fakest smile. Then, later, when people are complaining about how corrupt this country is and how we're in the shitters, they'll wish they had picked the candidate who was right from the get go. But no. Lemme shut the fuck up before I get into an even deeper rant.

I'm not sure where you're getting your info…but I have MSNBC on right now and it's got Clinton at 54% and Obama at 46%….with most of Philly yet to report (and that's Obama country).

    I wouldn't say she's won big…thank God.

Perez, you are such a moron. She didn't win big in PA. She needed to win a lot bigger. Plus, only 60% reporting now and he's already cutting into her lead. Loser.

Perez, I don't know where you get your sources from. You are losing credibility in our eyes, especially in the arena of presidential race. I understand that your influence extends to many eligible voters, so I would appreciate it if you get your sources correct.

As reported by CNN.com, Hilary won by 8% margin, instead of double digits as you claim. Please, correct this as we all understand that this topic is one of the most important topics concerning our nation at this moment.

Double digits and single digit matter a lot in this race due to Hiliary's viability to stay in this race. Please, correct this mistake. Thanks.

    So, I'm a moderate/tree hugger, and I don't really like any of the candidates…
    especially not Obama.

The stuff he said about small-town America and his white grand mother is just horrible! It was as if he were condemning religion; is that really how he wants to come across?

And saying that his grandmother was "the typical white woman" and afraid of anyone of color…
So, the typical white woman has a fear of black people, yellow people, red people, purple people, blue people?

Religion and white women, the downfall of America. Who knew?

if anything, this is an indirect win for Obama……Hillary needs to accept reality and drop out of the race….

  51. Erinnn says – reply to this

    351

Well I hope Hilary wins for the Democrats because then McCain can beat her. If Obama wins, McCain, I think, will have some serious competition. Honestly, both democrats kind of suck tho. McCain is the only good choice and needs to win.

  52. lisa says – reply to this

    352

her argument that by winning the bigger states, shes more prepared to beat john mccain is really weak. first of all, many of those states are ones that are definately going to be democratic come the election regardless of who the candidate is. secondly, the ones that arent, like texas, are NOT going to go democratic regardless of who the candidate is. also, a big reason that she does well in the larger states is because of the fact that she was first lady (which by the way didnt give her nearly as much experience as she claims it did). many of the leading democratic officials in these states are close and familiar with the clintons, a very large priveledge that obama doesn't have. really, i had no issues with hillary clinton before this election, but she just keeps attacking obama and praising mccain, hich is so STUPID. she needs to keep in mind the important election is in november not now.

  60. Liz says – reply to this

    360

In order to legitimately win the nomination, Hillary needs to win every remaining primary by a margin significantly greater than 10%. The media does not want to lose viewers, so it is in their best interest to pretend that her candidacy is viable. It is not. Her insistence upon remaining in the race and undermining Barack Obama's candidacy only serves to weaken our (the democrats') chances of winning the presidency in the fall. Please stop voting for this delusional woman, you are only hurting the party!

  61. Awe says – reply to this

I hope Hillary stays in it to the end. "Billary" and Obama are ripping each other to pieces. The thought of listening to her maddening voice any longer than July has already given me a headache. LA Times writes:

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's victory in the Pennsylvania primary today spared her once again from a forced exit from the Democratic presidential race, but she still faces long odds in her bid to defeat Sen. Barack Obama.

Much will depend on Clinton's actual victory margin, which should become clear late tonight. A double-digit win would ensure the race moves on to the May 6 primaries in Indiana and North Carolina, and perhaps beyond.

A narrow win — say 6 percentage points or less — would put new pressure on Clinton to drop out of the race, even if she escaped the death blow that a Pennsylvania loss would certainly have inflicted.
    ————————————————————

Plus, a month ago she was in the lead by 20 percent now that lead dropped to 8 percent and she only gained like 28 delegates while obama gained like 19 delegates.
So, she is still behind in the popular vote and in the delegate count.
Plus, there is North Carolina and Indiana and it is projected that Obama will carry north Carolina…wiping the gains that she made in PA.

Pretty much she is still in a horrible position and even with the superdelegates that she has now….she is still behind.

So, Obama will be the democratic candidate.

    Obama still has more delegates..

I don't see the point in her remaining in the race, especially with this negative facade. She is draining the momentum out of this primary, and I, along with many others, want to see the end of the petty insults and dug up dirt being tossed around (especially from Clinton's side). I'm getting sick of this race, and I think Clinton should drop out, regardless. Obama has more delegates, and statistically has more votes.

I'm all for Clinton going back into the kitchen, fo sho.

  72. Lynne says – reply to this

    372

That is not the final number…she'll probably win by 6-8%, which was what she was supposed to win by all along…actually, she was up almost 15% at one time. This is really not a big deal. The bottom line is the only way she can win the whole shebang is if she steals it through the SUPERDELAGATES…super delegates…what a racket…this is a democratic country, but some delegates are more important than others. I truly don't know why the average Dem puts up with this. It's so elitist. They're goin to steal this election from Obama..and he'll do the stepinfetchit and be the VP…that's what's going to happen, kids.

    she didnt win "big".

also if you look at texas, hilary won in the buttcuking nowhere areas, and obama won in the big cities like austin, dallas, housten etc…
and the only reason that she won is because her husband went to these areas and trashed talked obama saying that "obama couldent relate to black voters because he grew up middle class and went to a ivy leage college." WOW so a white woman who grew up in the burbs can? and what right do we have to single out black voters, as a politican they should be the ones that move away from the whole race card.

and while she may have won the popular votes obama still has the delegates.

both hillary and bill are dirty politicians who trash talk to try and make themselves look better. I loathe both of them.
