Clinton Wins Big In Pennsylvania!
Filed under: Barack Obama > Hillary Clinton
She won by double digits!
By a margin of 55% to 45%, Hillary Clinton outshone her better-funded opponent, Barack Obama, to take home the Democratic presidential primary in Pennsylvania on Tuesday night.
Hillary has now won most of the major states, including Texas, California, Ohio, New York and Florida (thought that one doesn't count and its a shame).
She's in it to win it and not dropping out now!
Discuss.

Yes, her lead is only by 10% right now… however there's this website that gives you a run down county by county of the exact marginal count each condidate is ahead. Most counties in PA she is MURDERING in, especially western Pennsylvania. The only two counties I even saw Obama was winning in were in Philly.
LOL @ hillary suckers
She will never win the general. She cannot even win the primary, though she may buy, cheat, or steal it.
She is hated by the majority of the country, for good reason
i love that you state that florida's win doesn't count and that it is a shame. it's a shame that she went against the party and campaigned there…that's a shame.
woo hoo Hilary

i like obama
Obama is a great speaker, I will give him that. He does have the ability to enrapture a room - and I think that is why he's found so many supporters. I think of it as the Pied Piper leading the children to wherever he actually led them to - and they would follow his music blindly. Obama is doing the same thing - he gives these amazingly persuasive-sounding speeches that just draw people in, but the problem is that people are so taken by his oratory skills that they are not listening to what Obama is saying in his speeches. I have been listening, and Obama is not really saying anything at all!
He talks about having all of these wonderful ideas for change, and yet doesn't seem to address how he is going to go about making those changes. Most of the things he is talking about - like lowering the price of oil and gas by forcing car makers to manufacture more efficient cars - is just a pipe dream. That's not going to lower the price of oil - it's just going to raise the prices of cars and maybe lessen the number of times you need to fill up. It doesn't seem like Obama realizes that the President just can't make all the laws he wants to - Congress has to propose the bill, then it has to go through the House and Senate. So sorry, Obama! You can't make law, just advocate for its passing!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HILLARY!!! Obama's middle name is Hussein-I mean who can trust that. He's going to ruin us if you idiots keep voting for him. His preacher should leave the U.S. since he hates it and Obama was sitting in his pews like nothing was wrong—not a good candidate for out pres. Glad people are smarting up and voting for someone besides Dumbo Obama.
Can't stand Hillary! SHE IS A LIAR!!!! Nuf said.
VOTE FOR PEDRO!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I also have a problem with Obama's double-talking. He cries and complains that he is being attacked personally and that he'd rather focus on the issues. He has playing the same dirty politics so why is he complaining? He can dish it, but he can't take it apparently. My thought is - you signed yourself up to be a candidate which means you are now a public figure. Anything is fair game. If you didn't want any of that, then you shouldn't be running for the highest position in the land! He's also preaching all these ideas of change and moving forward for the good of the country, yet he complained when there was a possibility that Florida and Michigan's votes would be counted. Of course, those states went for Hillary so he wanted to keep them out. His decision to oppose the counting of those states' ballots was not a institution-changing, modern revamp of the electoral system, oh no. His decision to complain about the possibility of those votes being counted was solely because it would swing the count in Hillary's favor. Personally, I'd want those states to be counted - I'd want to win the election because I EARNED it, not because some state's primaries were held a week before they were supposed to. And if you really care about the American people, you would want to make sure their voices were heard regardless of how it affected you - THAT IS THE BASIS AND FOUNDATION OF DEMOCRACY!
Hillary is a tenacious bitch and I will only vote for her if it's McCain against Clinton……Go towards the light, vote for Obama!!!!
great victory speech!
donate for her campaign www.hillaryclinton.com
One of Obama's other key points is that he doesn't take money from oil companies for his campaign. Technically, that is true. He doesn't take money from the oil companies, but he does take money from the individual oil company executives. In a way I think that's even worse than if he DID take money from the companies because he is intentionally trying to mislead the American public. Oil companies DO fund his campaign - they just do it in a shady way.
There's also the whole wife isn't proud of America/racist pastor situations. I have a problem with your wife saying that this is the first time she is proud of her country. Really, now? Now that your husband is running for president (and ahead in the votes) you are proud of this country? What if he loses? You won't be proud anymore? You weren't proud when he made the Senate? You weren't proud when we supported New York in 9/11? You weren't proud when the USA Hockey Team beat the Soviets in the Olympics? You aren't proud of the National Anthem and our Nation's Rich History? Well then, Mrs. Obama, you don't deserve to be first lady. I also don't buy Obama's argument that what his preacher says has nothing to do with him or his campaign. It has everything to do with you and your campaign, especially when you made this man your spiritual leader. It's the same thing I said before - you signed yourself to be a candidate for president - anything is fair game and Obama, you should have known better.
YeS!!! YeS!!! YeS!!!
Hillary is undeniably the most qualified candidate. Go Hil!
Unfortunately her core demographic has fallen for her dishonorable campaign strategies and outlandish accusations. It's rather disappointing, she's won by only enough to keep her pushing forward toward a party win that everyone knows can't happen without huge wins. I support Obama stalwartly, and had thought Hillary and great alternative against McCain. However, with her dirty politics, grasping at straws antics and personal ambition as her key motivation, I'm not so sure I would vote for her, in the narrow chance she does come out as the Democratic nominee.
I still dont think Obama will have the needed 2,025 votes needed to win the nomination by August. I believe Hillary is still very much in the game~
i just hope that (if hillary ends up winning the democratic nomination) she can beat mccain in the general because i really fear she won't. then all of you hillary supporters will be kicking yourselves in the arse.
Then (and this for me, honestly is the straw that broke the camel's back), this weekend a door-to-door campaigner came around the neighborhood. The Hillary campaigners were nice, asked if they could put a sign on our lawn, and just reminded us that our polling place had moved for this election. The Obama campaigner, however, would not let me go. He just kept talking and talking and even asked me who I was voting for! I told him I had pretty much decided and didn't want to disclose anything else. He kept pushing me and pushing me to tell him until I just pointed at the Hillary sign on the lawn. To make matters even worse, the Obama campaigner was from Iowa! What the hell is Iowa doing getting involved in our election? Leave Pennsylvania alone! Seriously? Obama couldn't get any local campaigners? I think that's saying something…
HELL YEAH!!! GO HILLARY!
Re: Gabi – read the whole story instead of just cherry-picking what you want top believ about Obama.\\"Senator Barack Obama yesterday defended his votes on behalf of funding the Iraq war, asserting that he has always made clear that he supports funding for US troops despite his consistent opposition to the war"
He supposedly opposed the Iraq war yet said he would preemptively strike Pakistan. D'oh…
Re: Daniel OC –
Thank you, I agree. I want trashy gossip, not blasts from CNN.
FUCK YES HILLARY !!!!! WE GOT THIS BOO !!!!!!!!!!
Go Hillary! I knew she could do it!
I WANT MY MOMMY!!!! HILLARY 2008!
Yay! Go Hillary!
And can you anti-Clinton people say something intelligent besides cunt, bitch, cougar, hag..It really isn't that difficult, I assure you!
r people really so dumb as to not like a candidate b/c she said she was under sniper fire and she wasn't ???????????????also for people saying she voted for the war…yea cause dumb ass bush lied to everyone….many people voted for it on that premise……go obama i am so glad u have a mentor who hates white people i bet hilary wouldn't have gotten away with having a mentor in the kkk…. think about it
LATINOS WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR A BLACK MAN. iI SAY THIS AS A HALK BLACK, HALF HISPANIC PERSON AND I KNOW THAT HISPANICS ARE VERY PREJUDICE AGAINST BLACKS. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON YOU ARE PRO-HILLARY. HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ISSUES. POOR FOOL. SHE'D SELL YOU, YOUR CUBAN FAMILY AND YOUR HOMOSEXUAL FAMILY UP THE RIVER FOR A VOTE. BE INFORMED.
Perez, Hillary is a bad choice. Please do your research…she's more of the same. Obama is the one…..please wake up!
Me along with a bunch of people in New York are moving to Ireland if she wins haha
I dont' think she's done much for my home state of New York…..I can't see her doing much more for the all 49 other states as President!
Fuck this shit.
HIlary Clinton still has no chance. shes been so fucking negative towards Obama and she is just tearing the Democratic party apart. she needs to bow out gracefully!
she is a nasty, nasty cunt. Perez - she has f-ed over the gays time after time. And you fell - hook line and sinke… for this awful human being.
I'm glad, I mean I don't really like her, but Obama is a moron and the thought of him becoming president makes me wanna kill myself. Go McCain!
fuck hilary. she's an idiot. OBAMA 08
first of all, winning big by double digits doesn't mean shit because it's about delegates. she will only take a few more than him tonight and he'll still lead the delegate count and the popular vote. it doesn't matter that she's won big states; he has more actual votes.
I will start off by saying that I am a strong Barack Obama supporter and not a fan of Hillary Clinton. Up until a month or so ago, I was OK with the thought of her getting the nomination. Now I don't think she will have my vote if she does win the Democratic nomination.
I really don't agree with any politicians using smear tactics against one another. The 2004 Bush/Kerry mud-slinging campaign just about did me in.
I feel that is what Clinton is doing to Obama, attacking him, trying to link him to extremists like Farrakhan; Showing pictures of Obama wearing a turban while visiting an African country. Wearing a turban does not make you a bad person, if I were a Muslim I would be offended that Clinton was trying to use that as a fear tactic. A lot of leaders wear native garb when visiting other countries, I've seen pictures of Bush in Vietnam wearing a silk robe, Bill Clinton in Ghana wearing native clothes, and even Hillary Clinton wearing a hijab in a Muslim country.
And with her staying in the race, even though Obama is winning the popular vote and has a higher amount of delegates, Clinton is saying that she can still win with super delegates.
Isn't that what outraged so many Americans in 2000 when Gore won the popular vote over Bush, yet Bush won the electorals?
If that is her plan, then I have no problem putting her on the same list as George W. Bush, and that isn't a very favorable list.
Re: Rachel – YAY GO CANADA! LETS ALL GO TO CANADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
HEY OBAMA…the gig is up man!
No more pulling the RACE CARD!
Middle America has FINALLY figured you out!
YOU ARE A FAKE…YOU HATE WHITE MIDDLE AMERICA.
WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE NOW.
i love hill! she can do this! finally some work will get done!
Salt meet wound.
Perez, I am liking you again lately (Like when you talk Jonas or Kanye)…drop the politics please please?
Plus her numbers still don't work…*run*
BARF
Well that sucks…
Party like a BARACK STAR!
Vote Obama.
God help us all !
Ok Perez get your facts straight Hiliary DID NOT WIN IN DOUBLE DIGITS. If I hear that tired speech of hers one more time that she has 35 years experiece and she'll be ready day one,I'm gonna scream. It seems like her own people are trying to jeopdize her campaign by letting her go out there with that same old tired speech. She might've won PA but she's NOT going to win NC or IN so she might of well hang it up. There's NO WAY mathmatically that she can catch Obama.
Oh yeah one more thing Billy Bob just want to get back in the White House to chase some young thing. Him and Billary are gonna be sitting in bed playing rock paper scissors to she who goes after the NEW MONICA…..LOL
Actually for Hillary to have won "big" she needed to get 63% of the vote and it's not looking like she's going to do that. The way it looks, the deligates are going to be split down the middle keeping Obama ahead on delegates. Hillary needs to go ahead and give up the ghost. If not, come July the dems are going to fall apart.
hillary's a cunt.
don't vote for one.
Ok I live in Philadelphia and Hillary has not won BIG it's a tight race, she will ultimately win, but we've yet see the margin, some are projecting 8%. I respect Hillary and think she is an incredibly smart and strong woman, but she has not been handling herself well and her campaigne is heading down the drain. VOTE CHANGE!!!!
Wow, 42% of voters is not even close to the fat lady singing, and either way right now at 75% of the voters in, she is only ahead 6 delegates from Obama. This was not about winning for Obama. It was about being close enough to make the woman sweat. He is still ahead by well over one hundred delegates. Hardly a "big win" for Clinton. I thought better of you, Perez, than to make sensational headlines like that. Wait, did I?
Go Hillary!! If she wins the presidency, she will be the smartest president we've had in decades.
i sure as hell didnt vote for her
Yeah! I live in PA and it just seemed like everyone at the polls was pro Hillary! Wahoo! It's about damn time!
I'm disappointed. Her campaigns broke. She should drop out already. She's making the democrats look bad. She's such a joke.
Re: Liz – You seem to think you know the flat truth but you missed one glaring fact: it's the people on capital hill and teh international banking community who decide who we will get as president. What you see ot in public is facade. Dog and pony show. The real haggling goes on out of the public's eye. If Obama gets it, it;s because the Daley mafia made a good enough case for their boy so he gets plugged into the slot.
fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk these LIBERALS!!!!
go to hell hillary. AND OBAMA!!!
I absolutely cannot stand Hillary.
Obama is the right guy for our country. Such a shame that people cannot see this.
'08AMA!
Also, if Hillary by some curse on us all wins the democratic nominee, you can say hello to President McCain and four more years of this awesome Iraq "war" we're fighting.
4 years of Bush…8 years of Clinton…8 years of Bush..8 years of Clinton?? 28 years..2 families… Monarchy?
GO HILLARY!
She won Michigan to Perez! WE WANT HILLARY!
HILLARY IS OUR GIRL
The woman has courage and strength!! Laser-keen intelligence and compassion. Rock on Hillary… don't let the good ol' boys get you down!!!
who cares. Obama is still ahead and is going to win. If the superdelegates can't see that our nation wants Obama, and picks Clinton then thats a shame. he has the popular vote and most pledged delegates with more to come. like Tracy Morgan said " Black is the new president…Bitch!" haha
Hilary=Super Creepy
Obama=Super Duper Creepy
Either one of them leading our country is the scariest thing my creative brain could ever imagine.
Who's up for fleeing to Canada? I mean, from what I hear, Perez does love Canada.
Only 78% of PA has reported, dumbass. Plus a major liberal county near Philly, Chester, hasn't reported at all yet.
I HATE THIS FUCKING BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dude (perez) you are a tool.
Clinton likely won by 8 points with 75% of precincts reporting. A month ago she led by more than 20 points here. Obama never expected to win PA, this was a make or break for for Clinton, not Obama. Hillary wins the big states because Hillary is entrenched with traditional Democrats. She's winning in traditional Democratic states. She's not motivating people to vote - she's just getting the vote of people who have always shown up to vote. Her victory in Pennsylvania (as Texas, Florida, Ohio) indicates nothing about who can win in these states against McCain. Clinton supporters are traditional Dems. They're not likely to switch teams in the general.
Obama is the sultan of SMUG. If we get that smug, condescending elitest in the Whitehouse, we'll turn another corner on ICK.
just because obama is "new" doesn't mean he will be a better president than hillary clinton or bring any sort of "change." if he wins i'll consider mexico for four years…….
with that said…MCCAIN '08!
Let's not forget that Hillary voted for the war.
NEVER STOP DISCUSSING POLITICS.
perez, i love that you post about politics as well. and i certainly LOVE that you support our girl Hillary!
im from Scranton, Pa- and i did cast my vote today, and it WAS for Hillary. and it always has been.
she IS in it to WIN it.
and she WILL WIN.
So sad…I guess not everyone votes the way Oprah tells them to. Looks like no Dr. Phil for VP and no Ray Ray as Secretary of State. Better luck next time, Sheeple.
Re: A-Lex – I'm "imbarassed" for you since you spelled "embarrassed" like that.
Fuck NO! Hilary Clinton! I'm all for a female President but not this BITCH! HELL NO!!!!!!!!
i freaking love love love love love hilary
54 to 46 isn't a big win. that means 4% of voters chose her over Obama. get it? if 4% had different opinions, it would've been a tie. she's going to be STILL a HALF A MILLION votes behind.
Mario get your racist head out of your ass and get a grip.
it's OVER for her.
Re: Kris – What has Obama done for Illinois?? D'oh.
Do your research. She won the popular vote in Texas, and at the moment, has lost the delegates. BUT Texas delegates will not be assigned until the state convention this summer. I know because I am an alternate delegate who will be voting for OBAMA! Do not count Texas in your list of 'won' states because that will change this summer.
You obviously don't know ANYTHING about politics…..she didn't win big. She was expected to win by 20 points and that did not happen. You need to stick to celebrity gossip and stop discussing politics!
Boooooooooo!!!!! Go Obama!!!! Pennsylvania Shemynsylvania….Barack is still gonna win the nomination!!! Bill used to be my man, but he and Hill have really shown their shady asses in this election. Barack the vote!!!!!
In my opinion we are watching the wrong people. John McCain what would happen if it were john mccain she was up against?
Re: duhhhhhhhh –
So, you're gonna say that accidentally misspeaking is worse than KNOWING your preacher is an Iraq worshiper and continuing to listen to him preach. How old are you, 12? You don't know shit about politics………duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Um, so a lot of McCain fans are voting for Hilary in the primary just because they know that she won't win if she is put on the ballot. Don't get too excited. Discuss….
im sure more people exclaiming YAY HILLARY here do so more because perez backs her than actually caring about the issues. OH WELL GUESS THATS WHY AMERICA'S FUCKED YOU IDIOTS
She hasn't won most of the major states, she's won ALL of the major states. She's have Michigan and Florida if their votes were allowed to count. Nice country where not everyone's vote counts.
Re: anita – EXACTLY. but i'm cuban and go for obama, but whatever… GO OBAMA
thats right Biiiiitches … ive been with her since day 1 in 2007 !!! wooot woooot
Yay! We can do this!! Perez, you should pay for some Hillary commercials!
Go Hillary!
I doubt the people saying rude things on this tread about HC actually know ANYTHING about Obama or Hillary and are just jumping on the Obama bandwagon.
Informed decisions FTW!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!
GO HILLARY!!!!!!!!!!
NY Times editorial board, which remember endorsed Clinton:
The Pennsylvania campaign, which produced yet another inconclusive result on Tuesday, was even meaner, more vacuous, more desperate, and more filled with pandering than the mean, vacuous, desperate, pander-filled contests that preceded it.
Voters are getting tired of it; it is demeaning the political process; and it does not work. It is past time for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to acknowledge that the negativity, for which she is mostly responsible, does nothing but harm to her, her opponent, her party and the 2008 election.
If nothing else, self interest should push her in that direction. Mrs. Clinton did not get the big win in Pennsylvania that she needed to challenge the calculus of the Democratic race. It is true that Senator Barack Obama outspent her 2-to-1. But Mrs. Clinton and her advisers should mainly blame themselves, because, as the political operatives say, they went heavily negative and ended up squandering a good part of what was once a 20-point lead.
if hilary wins, im going to KILLmyself! barack is so much betterr
Guys who gives a fuck, A democrat is a democrat, as long as they aren't a filthy Republican they will get my vote.
I think Hillary should win! Obama never really seems to say much, just blabs on, i always tune out when he's talking. He keepts pulling the racist card, which makes me believe he is somewhat racist, and for us who aren't african-american, that's a scary thought. I'm sick of hearing his voice, he sound like a whiny baby. Hillary is well put together, she's super smart, she knows her shit, and even though it may be tough having a female president, i think she truly has our best interest at heart. I think obama likes the "celeb" aspect more, bowling, going to colleges, etc. he's all about the press and being pictured, hil on the other hand it always business. And thats' what we need right now.
The Penn Dutch are not a reliable barometer of the rest of the country.
Oh joy, Hillary will win and get clobbered by McCain, or bloody Barrack so bad that he won't win if he gets the nomination. SO, WAY TO GO BITCH, KEEP OUR COUNTRY IN A FUCKED UP STATE OF AFFAIRS. And Perez, your a fat hypocritical a-hole.
