Clinton Wins Big In Pennsylvania!

Filed under: Barack Obama > Hillary Clinton

wenn1762298__opt.jpg

She won by double digits!

By a margin of 55% to 45%, Hillary Clinton outshone her better-funded opponent, Barack Obama, to take home the Democratic presidential primary in Pennsylvania on Tuesday night.

Hillary has now won most of the major states, including Texas, California, Ohio, New York and Florida (thought that one doesn't count and its a shame).

She's in it to win it and not dropping out now!

Discuss.

Perez I am surprised at you. You must know that the media is only keeping this "contest" alive for ratings. There is no way that Hillary Clinton can get the delgates to become the democratic party nominee. Its just math. What disapoints me is that you would buy into this "dramaz" that is just manufactured by the press. There are many that say that now that you are a celebrity and have your own stake in the celebrity game that you have sold out and are no better than any other media outlet. I don't believe that. You have been your own man and I have loved seeing your rise to success. You are the epitome of the American Dream and I wish you the best and celebrate your well earned success. Please don't lose your edge because of main-steam media influence. She can't win. I know you wanted her to; I respect that. There is a reason that McCain is having Republicans change their party registration and vote in our Democratic party primaries. Use your power and influence wisely. I hope you don't let me down. And remember….we LOVE us some Perez in Austin!

Obama still leads in delegate count - Clinton's win only put a small dent in Obama's lead. It is not a big win, only 10%.

obama, please, lets all vote for him so he can raise our taxes, not drill for oil in alaska (I just love paying 3.50 a gallon), and leave us defenseless. that is the change he is talking about. Don't worry Hillary is just as bad.

fyi, she didnt win texas, barack did. and barack has still won the popular vote, as well as twice as many states as she has. like they said on msnbc today, he is running against 'mr and mrs democratic party' for the last 30 years. i'd say he's doing pretty damn well!

  15. Claire says – reply to this

    615

Even though she won this one, Obama will win because he knows what he's talking about. She's just a puppet being controlled by her perv of a husband

    Re: Naomi

LOLz…. Well put. Are these real people voting for her?
I just don't believe it. Can the good people of America be oh so naive (Mario Lavendiera included) and ignorant?

Her tactics are desperate and she can only rely on smears on my boy because she's lacking in so many departments.

Can someone please tell me when "MISREMEMBERED" became a valid and acceptable excuse for "LYING YOUR ASS OFF" … three times THREE TIMES she lied to the American people about "sniper fire"… trying to be faux brave and shit. The list goes on….She's Bush/Cheney Lite.

    08ama bitches!

  22. June says – reply to this

    622

That is because people who are Republican are voting for Hillary so that McAin can win, stupid. The Republican's know that Obama would win so I personally know Republican's who are switching sides temporarily to let Hillary win, hoping to keep the Pres. election for the Republicans.

No more Clinton, no more Bush!

No more dynasty's running the US, we want CHANGE. Plus Hillary supported the war, no more warmongers in office.

The only reason Hillary won Texas is that Rush Limbaugh told all of his listeners to go vote for her, because she would be easier for McCain to beat than Obama would be. And those damn redneck sheep did exactly what Limpballs told them to do!

  26. Susanna Estefanza says – reply to this

Oh and BTW, in Texas, Obama actually won more delegates than Hillary because of our popular vote/caucus system of voting.

  29. Ashley says – reply to this

    629

I have a lot of reasons I am against Obama. So many reasons I don't feel like typing. One comment I want to make is some female bitches say "it will just be the same old politics"….what is wrong with you? A woman never ran the country before so you have no idea how this will work. And what was so bad about the Clinton era? My family was doing so well then.

i cannot believe that people are stupid enough to vote another clinton into the white house! BUT….the good news for all you stupid democrats is that McCain will whip her ass in November…what a bunch of idiots!!!!!
    GO MCCAIN!!!!!!

  33. Malone says – reply to this

    633

Perez, you're a douche. Hillary is an evil bitch and I will be damned if that sleezy husband of hers gets back in the white house. What self-respecting woman stays with him after that? Hell, I'd rather have McCain over this bitch.

Did you hear that? It's the sound of Amrica vomiting in their mouths

  36. pitt says – reply to this

    636

Reality check! The biggest problem for Hill is that she can NOT win in November. Her negative polling started and has remained over 40%. Primaries are one thing, general elections are another. Bask in the glow now. If she manages to get the nomination, get ready to say President McCain. God bless us all.

  37. Sophia says – reply to this

She better live it up now because this is all she has left. BO is supposed to win big in NC and most other states are very borderline. She's out of money. After May 6 she probably wont have the same attitude.
Plus she totally dug herself a grave by being a total douche bag with all the attacks. People within the same church can have different beliefs (R Wright and Obama, obviously)… what kind of democrat would suggest otherwise?.. actions of a closeted intolerant righty.

  50. Aubrey says – reply to this

    650

That really sucks. I don't dislike her because she's a woman or a Clinton (I liked Bill) or any of that nonesense. I dislike her because she's a sneaky, lying, conniving bitch. You always hear about her camp spreading some drastic misrepresentation about another candidate, or her preaching the benefits of universal health care when she recieves more campaign contributions from pharmacutcal companies than any other member of congress. .. Which is why she hasn't brought the issue up officially in years. One lie after another. Only half a step up from Bush.

    655

Obama is the pied piper of the masses. The non thinking types who go for flowery rhetoric and empty speeches. The ones who don't vote for Hilary because they think she is a "bitch" have issues with strong women and can't see past that.
I wish people would actually listen and read about what the candidates were about. Not mindless spouting of the word "change" without saying what he will change or how.

Great cheer on the person who cannot win to stay in the race and drag the whole party down. You do realize that because she won't drop out until Denver that the Democrats are going to lose, right? Cheering for her to stay in even though it's mathematically impossible for her to win is cheering for McCain. I guess as a gay man you really appreciate republican rule. I hope you're ready for continued war in the middle east… forever. Also, start converting your cash to canadian dollars because the USD is going to be the new Peso.
I just want to finish grad school and move the hell out of this country while a degree from the US is meaningful.

  64. simon says – reply to this

    664

please - she was up by 22% when it began, and could only manage a 10% win…she LOST 12%…and why can't SHE finish HIM off instead of the other way around? And why is she running a campaign in the RED? she has no finance ability - do we really want a president who can't raise money among the people???

  65. Adrianna says – reply to this

I love you, Perez, and I was a supporter of Hillary for a long time, BUT I think that she's been really nasty (and not in a good way) lately, saying things to win at all costs. Obama should be the next President of the United States.

    671

please, she didn't win BIG, and she only won because she used the same fear mongering tactics that the republicans use to convince americans to vote against their best interests! TEAM OBAMA!!! YES WE CAN! please we can't be a country of idiots that voted for the same 2 families for the last 20 years! this isn't a monarchy, having a famous last name doesn't make you a better leader, it just makes you a spoiled elitist who gets everything handed to them because of nepotism…OBAMA will WIN!

Anyone who is NOT Obama is fine by me. We are so racist in this country that we are scared to ask him the hard questions or question what he says, his history or his plans. It is unreal that we back away from anything that might be considered touchy based on his race. If we were a unified country, we would be able to discuss anything and not worry about the color of someone's skin believing they could take the hard questions. I cannot wait for this to be over. I know Obama has it in the bag and it makes me scared that an inexperienced, pro-muslim, anti-israel neophyte is going to lead the country. I will support him once he is in there and will pray he surrounds himself with seasoned politicians and is less self-aggrandizing once he realizes what he is taking on with this position. It is not about him and I am scared he and his unAmerican wife will not realize anything beyond their own names. I did not think anyone whose hat was in the ring would be able to get us out of this mess, but I am particularly scared now. Good luck to whomever takes the win.

Republican here from conservative Louisiana…switching my vote to Democrat because I truly believe in Barack Obama. I dont like Hillary's dirty game playing and the way she is attacking her fellow democrat rather than going after and targeting the weaknesses of her real opponent-the republican party. She is tacky, arrogant and misleading. I dont give a fuck about who Brad Pitt votes for. I dont care who Reese Witherspoon or any other celebrity votes for, for that matter. BUT michael Moore is a smart, self-educated phenominal independent thinker, and I respect his opinion more than that of my own family's. If I was sitting on the fence unsure of which dem. To vote for, he would definitely sway me over to obama's side. What a disappointment it is to find of that Hillary squeeked out a win in Pennsylvania. But 60% of the voters are women, so I've gathered my own conclusions. Obama 08

Technically Obama won Texas, so you should change that. Clinton may have won the primary in Texas, but Obama won the caucuses. Obama came out with the most delegates from Texas; therefore, he beat Clinton.
