Re: df –
FUCKIN EH!!
That guy is awe inspiring, the best was the show they did when Tori showed up and actually cried during their performance of Dragon, this guy did something so great with an amazing group of kids, i wish more people could demonstrate their passion for what they do like this guy!
How wonderful! I cried. Music must stay in the school systems! Bravo to that Music teacher and to those wonderfully talented children!
That was AMAZING, Tori would be so proud!!!
That guy was born to be a music teacher. Those kids each sand that song from the heart. I never seen an elementary school choir like that. I wish.
Aw! How sweet…I love how real their faces are when they sing. Oh, to be a kid again.
What beautiful children with beautiful voices! Well done!
These children are the virtual erasers of despair - absolutely the most phenomenal advertisement for the power of art and for a teacher who truly understands the power of leading and modeling excellence. A round of applause for these alive, passionate, wondrous children and their wonderful teacher. Thanks Perez for this great share.
Single Tear!! No Joke.
Love Tori…love this song.
Beautiful.
Re: Jenisis –
do NOT respond to Jake…that is what he wants. The more you post how idiotic his comment is, the more you bring attention to him & he wins. He wants you to get upset & mad. Just ignore it. There are plenty of positive comments here where no one would even remember it by the time they were done reading. Drown him out & ignore it
Totally brilliant. Those kids are so talented, as is the teacher. Thanks for posting this!
Re: Ash from ps22 chorus –
Congrats Ash on a wonderful job!! Keep up the great work & always believe there is a flying dutchman waiting for you to sail away
i wish my teachers looked like that..HOTT!!!!!!
YES! LOVE tori. it always makes me happy when you post about her. you should youtube david from this choir singing "not the red baron". stunning.
incredible. I have goosebumps
Amazing. When school budgets get cut, the arts are the first thing to go. Help support the music and arts in our public schools.
Spend more on WAR not children trying to learn art.
That has to be the most inspiring thing I have seen in a long time. I teach high school and try to incorporate current themes to my class and it makes such an impact when they can relate to current events. This motivates me beyond belief. I work with ESOL students in Florida and sometimes you feel like you aren't succeeding and then you see something inspirational like this. KEEP IT UP PEREZ!!
Love it! Keep on loving Tori! Forever!
That was incredibly beautiful. Keep the arts in our schools! GREAT JOB KIDS!!!!
P. S. 22 rocks I can't believe they are on Perez hilton. much love to my favorite 5th grade class. Have a great week off.
you favorite student teacher
This is a magnificant teacher…Just watching those kids so animated, so obviously enjoying what they are doing, was extremely touching. We must never let the arts suffer in our public schools, when it is VERY obvious so many children thrive on expression & creativity!!
BRAVO! Truly inspiring. Great teacher and choir. I'm sure they made Tori proud. Fantastic post Perez.
Do ALL of these kids have tourettes or were they directed to over sell it?
I think this is the most amazing clip. I think Tori Amos would be so proud of that teacher for introducing those kids to such a wide variety of music, and turning it into something they can join in and put their own into. Perez, if you hear from Tori at all, please post her comments. Truly inspiring!
Very inspirational. Made me a little teary eyed…
this makes god smile
Thank you Perez for posting something inspiring and beautiful…Although I do not agree with some of the things you say, I still think you are a caring individual.
this gives me chills and makes me tear, but my choir was better!
Beautiful!!!!!!!!
Wow…tears in my eyes…beautiful…….
Thanks God for people who "get it"
awww, beautiful! *lump in throat, wiping away a tear*
wow that was great! any idea if Ms. Amos has heard this and what her thoughts are?
so lovely
Thanks Perez. This is a nice break from your norm.
It is so great to see that this teacher is exposing these kids to such great music and lyrics rather than most of the over produced crap they hear all around them. Tori Amos is amazingly talented. The kids really seem to be enjoying themselves. What a great teacher!
This gave me chills! How inspiring it is to watch these inner city kids of all colors come together and literally make beautiful music together. Kudos to their (I'm certain, vastly underpaid) music teacher to impart the beauty of music (especially Tori Amos' music) to these kids. I joined band back in 6th grade and it really changed my life and I strongly believe that it made the decent, responsible, compassionate person I've become. We need MORE teachers like this guy. SAVE THE MUSIC, SAVE THE WORLD! Thanks for posting, Perez.
Continual goosebumps starting at 0:40. Good for them!
Youth is a wonderful thing. Awesome and moving.
I LOVE THOSE KIDS! They are so wonderful! There faces are so connected to the music! Give us more of this Perez. There is good in this world!
Re: Stephanie – Stop doing this Stephanie. You look like an ass and are taking away from the subject. These wonderful kids!
Re: yo mama – Stop doing this 'yo mama'. You look like an ass and take away from the wonderful kids singing.
To the children: YOU have shared your music and made a lot of people forget their troubles today! You are all amazing and talented. Keep on singing and sharing…….THANK YOU for making my day a whole lot brighter!!!!!!
Perez, that was beautiful. Thank you for sharing it. Teachers work so hard to inspire their kids every day. You could see the passion, love and excitement those children have for music on their faces!
To all those that read this… THANK A TEACHER!
Thanks for sharing this Perez! I also teach in NYC, up in the Bronx. Our school has a great music teacher, as do these kids obvi, but not every school is so lucky. Music should be part of every school! SAVE THE MUSIC!!!
that was so beautiful, i was truly touched.
Yeah I wish I had a teacher that loked like him..We do need to keep music in the schools… and art and sports. He is obviously not only good looking but passionate enough to inspire these kids to enjoy. And this song is lovely. I've never heard it before but I would love to have a copy of this ion the "pod".
love it. Fucking awesome.
Re: Mandy – hahahaha i reckon! orange shirt girl has been hit by the mariah spell ahhaha sooo cute though
and beautiful rendition, i love childrens choirs
TO ALL THE TEACHERS OUT THERE…THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
This is the BEST WAY to bring kids together! Look at all colors and sizes and they're all together with their little, sweet hearts open. This is soooo much better instead of falling into cliques and bullying. I hope all teachers get a clue!
That was fantabulous! I cried it was so beautiful
And that is why children need music. Keep the arts in school!!!
How totally awesome is that???
I want my future kids to be that into music.
love love LOVE it!
Thank you Perez for showing us what a beautiful thing music can be in a child's life. God bless this teacher and his students. We are missing this in so many schools.
Thanks so much for sharing. That was awesome. It's good to know that good teachers are out there and students are still willing to learn.

Wow… I loved this. Reminded me of when I was in choir in elementary, except I had a bunch of other kids who weren't into it like I was. It gave me goosebumps that they were all so involved!! Please Perez, more choir stuff!!!
OMG!! Perez, yu made my night and apparently so did this man! i L~O~V~E tori amos!!! finally, teachi' the childrens some REAL music!!
this was so touching and moving… i can't see how Tori wouldn't get the shivers. Thanks for sharing P. Also, I'm wondering if they take requests? mine would be Hour Follows Hour by Ani DiFranco.
good to see kids doing something other than playing video games or worse.. drugs. they look so cute when they sing!
I enjoy watching the kids that are really "getting down wif their bad selves". I hope Tori meets them.
Re: Jake – You're dispicable!
This choir is awesome, they have such a passion! And awesome rendition…
tori amos is an amazing woman and its amazing how these children have taken this song on and made it come alive
well done to all of them!
That was awesome. I wish the music classes I went to in middle school were more like that!
The kids were cute, but how hot was that little teacher of theirs? I'M HOT FOR TEACHER
