The Colombian singer and humanitarian is the honorary chairperson of the 'Global Campaign For Education.'
Shaki spoke at the Capitol about growing up in the developing world where parents are desperate to provide education for their children.
Perez is heading to D.C. this weekend for the White House Correspondent's Dinner.
