As I stated before, Obama has proven that he can compete with McCain in states like Virginia and North Carolina which were once thought of as Republican territory. Hillary does not stand a chance in toss up states, she can only win states where dems are expected to win (and always do win). McCain is not the same independent man that fought against the Bush tax cuts for the rich during a time of war. He is increasingly setting himself up to be a third term Bush, and is growing his policies into what is to be expected from a neo conservative. His little "the economy isn't my strong point" isn't exactly something Americans are looking for as we head into a recession. The facts remain, Obama is a junior senator just as Hillary Clinton is. This experience you speak of is only in reality the experience of her dear husband. If you would like to discuss experience, how about Hillary's years as president of her college's republican party? That would be very interesting. Obama may lose the racist vote, but it will not be nearly enough to keep him from being the next president of the United States. I think you'll see him much differently when he becomes president.

My concern, long term, is this. Someone once said, "You don't have to be smart, just keep smart people around you." (George W. Bush?) Think Cabinet. I want a cabinet of Smart people. People brilliant in their respective fields. Who will Obama ask? Who will accept? Who will he conspicuously NOT ask? Who will conspicuously NOT accept? I don't see ANY real experts in international diplomacy, tacticians, statisticians, negotiators, stabilizers, or any other outstanding people stepping forward. What mess in Florida & Michigan? The rules were set, and those 2 states flaunted the rules, and their democratic delegates don't count. Follow the rules, and your votes count; don't follow the rules and they don't. Simple rules of life!
IF they are going use Florida's vote ( I am a Floridian, Duval stand Up) they need to revote. Seeing as how 0% of the Democratic vote counted and a majority of Floridians knew about that before we voted, this fact could have caused a lot of voters to say 'y bother voting, my vote will not count'.
Hilary won in Florida and now people are screaming to count Florida's vote. No you need not count it, let the super delegates vote, and if they played fair they would vote for the candidate who is leading in delegate, who is Obama.

The only people who think there's a "mess" in Florida and Michigan are Hillary supporters who want to change the rules in midstream. The Democratic Party told these 2 states what would happen if they moved up their primaries, and the campaigns - INCLUDING HILLARY'S - agreed to it. Now that it serves her own self-centered purposes, Hillary wants to change the rules. Obama wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan, because his campaign didn't think it would count, so how unfair would that be to throw those numbers in the hopper when he wasn't even counted? Hillary is lying in the past few days saying she's ahead in popular vote. She is, if you count Michigan and Florida, which don't count. So she's not. She's a liar. I used to love Hillary. I think that it is both fair and unfair that we don't count (I live in MI). I understand that michigan screwed up, I however did not and want my voice to be heard. So yeah I'm kind of torn, but in the same token understand why we maybe shouldn't count. As a person however, I would really like for my voice to be heard, despite what my state did.

I have a feeling if Barack is the candidate in November, the states of Michigan and Florida are going to remember that he didn't want their votes to count… he should have pushed harder for them. Then one of them would have had enough delegates and the superdelegates would not be as important.
I thought that peoples votes count… why does the delegates only matter? It should be the people. I was always told that it was a joke to vote and that peoples votes don't matter. I didn't listen to those people that told me that and I thought I was still going to vote because this is the usa and people do count. Hi Perez! You're looking GREAT! FL & MI WILL count. In fact, Michigan's delegates were counted last Saturday and almost 70% will go to Clinton. Obama basically pissed off MI by not agreeing to a revote so the majority will go to Clinton, who helped try to get a revote. As for FL, the only unfair thing there was when Obama continued his national ads - he knew what he was doing. AND DOES EVERYONE KNOW HERE THAT THE RULES ALLOW FOR A DECREASE IN DELEGATE ALLOCATION IF THE ORIGINAL RULES WERE BROKEN? (MOVING UP PRIMARY). Donna Brazille was the one that effectively took away ALL delegates instead of just reducing the number, which the DNC rules allow for. Donna Brazille is trying to help Obama. it was resolved. the punishment is the resolution. first, the DNC set the rules, then the state parties broke the rules. you can blame the DNC for making bad rules or you can blame the state parties for knowing the rules and then going ahead and breaking them anyway.

Funny … all the drama around the election. We know there can only be one, and it is Barack. Hillary has absolutely no moral claim to the nomination. Behind in states, delegates, money and popular vote. Even with Florida counted she is still behind by about 41000 votes. Michigan cannot count as it stands because his name was not on the ballot. It is just sad to see how the ambition and drive of this woman will not let her back down. SHE CANNOT WIN, yet she still runs and slanders this man. If she really cared about her country, she would rally behind Barack. And lets be fair, if it was Barack who was behind, this conversation would not be happeining. He would have been out in February after that string of 11 wins that pretty much sealed the deal that the math would not work out for the candidate behind. The resolution is pretty simple - MI and FL don't count. They both agreed to it, and now that Hillary sees that she is losing and needs delegates, she wants to change the rules. Typical.

I will first state that I am a conservative so i am not for hilary or obama! The votes in michigan and florida should not count. There is not an argument here. Everyone agreed to the same rules and now that the votes will help hilary she wants them to count. Don't you think obama would have campaigned in those states if it were to have mattered and the voting would not have been as one sided for hilary as they were. This is ridiculous! You can't go changing the rules half way through!
The democrats were the one who put the law into effect with the punishment for moving up primary dates. There is no way the delegates can be recovered. They were told that they would not campaign so therefore Obama didn't campaign in either state. If the delegates were awarded to Clinton, there would be all sorts of hell to pay. I believe it was Al Sharpton, or Jesse Jackson said he would sue his own party, the DNC if they were to award those delegates because it specifically violates everything they were trying to accomplish in the first place. Give it up. Recovering those delegates isn't going to happen.
