I hate when people make these kinds of statements like there is some utopic government out there that is doing only good. There isn't. Ours is far from perfect, but it's certainly among the best. It's a government of the people–the administration changes, so to characterize it solely by the person heading it (who is just one of the federally elected officials running the country) is ridiculous.
It's so easy for celebs to make these proclamations. When they go to other countries, they're treated like royalty. Try being a working class person in another country, and you'll see that their government is just as fucked up as ours, and usually more so.
For whatever we are doing wrong, we are doing far more right. And people who attempt to paint America as terrorists are really oversimplifying what that word means. Yes, America has made mistakes, but we are far from a terrorist government.
Freedom of Speech is a purely American concept–unavailable in the liberal form it is granted here. It allows people like Madonna to say these moronic things, and not be arrested. We also don't allow Bills of Attainder, unlike other countries. We don't let Honor Killings slide by, the way England has. Why see only the good in other countries but the bad in the US?
