Judicial branch, Congressional branch, and a little thing called Federalism? She made a blanket statement about the US government–that means all branches of federal government. Especially since she was talking about putting us into debt, she HAD to be talking about Congress, since the spending power is hugely in their domain. So she wasn't just talking about Bush, but the federal government as a whole.
Now you can agree with her, but have a rational basis for it at least. Why are people so quick to condenm the totality for one thing they don't like? You don't like the Iraq War therefore the government is a terrorist that does nothing else? That's really not how it works.
And seriously, Madonna, how about mentioning the obscene number of Honor Killings which occur in the country you do live in.
