What Took Him So Long???

wenn1592626.jpg

After 30 years in the music industry, singer Phil Collins is finally retiring at age 57.

Collins recently completed a reunion tour with his former band, Genesis.

Friday he announced he will no longer be releasing any more albums or going on tours.

The now retired Collins plans to take a break from music, but will continue to write songs on his free time.

As for his free time, Collins has said he'll be spending time working on his favorite hobby. What's that?

Collecting memorabilia from the Battle of the Alamo!

Ohhh, fun!

Collins says, "It's not that unusual for a man of my age who grew up reading [about] Davy Crockett."

Are you devastated by Phil's retirement????

Yeah, we're not either!

I have loved him since I was 6. I was fortunate to catch every tour I could and even sat front row twice at a couple of Genesis shows. He is a true legend. Sorry P! Looks like you struck a chord with your readers and they may disagree with you on this one.

yeah, perez…. I love you and everything, I love you tons, but phil collins is an amazing artist and performer. I grew up with his music and some of his song got me through hard times. he's accomplished a helluva lot, and he's a caring, non-douchey celeb and class act. maybe he's boring to you because he's not controversial, but he's a living legend… it disappoints me that you're bullying him. :(

Re: PsychoDeluxe – I come from Hounslow the same part of london that the Collins comes from and we have been awaiting this fabulous news for ever, the only decent thing he ever said and done was"you can take the man out of Hounslow but you can't take Hounslow out of the man.

He's going deaf, douchbags. He announced his hearing problem years ago. It's a progressive disease. And yes, I will miss his music very much. They don't come much more talented than Mr. Collins.
