you know, i think all this business about "is this appropriate for her at her age" is such bs.
i've known plenty of girls who have done far worse than she has at her age.
and it's weird to think that no one can really see that she's a teenage girl.
i did all those things with my girlfriends when we had sleepovers. we were rebellious and wanted to act like grownups in the way we thought they did. i think she's doing the same thing, the only difference is is that she's in the public eye. she should know that…and she should watch how she acts and what she says in a public arena. but, i don't think she's living her life any different than any other girl.

I don't know what bothers me more - the picture of her half naked or the picture with her dad! Who lays in their dad's lap like that. Plus in both photos why does she look so washed out and pale? Anyway, I really don't care if she watched Sex & The City. I personally think a LOT of things our kids watch are too "adult" for them. But when they put shows made for HBO and Showtime and change the words to make it ok for regular TV there is a problem. I know my 13 yo brother stays up late at night watching Adult Swim and those cartoons are nasty…my parents thought Simpsons and Ren & Stimpy were bad…those are like tom & Jerry compared to todays shows.
As far as the pictures go…there is nothing different than her pics than there is from any other 15 yo on myspace or any other site. We have allowed this generation to do whatever they want to…and shown them ways to keep it from their parents. She is just living in front of cameras all the time and and not able to hide things.

Ok so I have been reading all the things said about miley, I have two kids of my own one who is 4 years old and a huge fan of hanna montanna. While I do agree that some of the pictures surfacing right now are questionable I cant help but feel for miley. I mean she is only 15 and I would assume she is under the controll of her parents as well as her publisist and such so is it fair to call her the slut when she is only doing what she is told.

5. The editor was "intimidated" by a teenager. And VF let this guy report?
Hate to see what happens when VF writes about real stories. Do they bow down to advertisers and board members?
6. Miley posted the pictures on her social network site, without caring how they can be percieved. Are her parents and handlers doing thier jobs? Even regular kids are warned about what they post. Potential employers can access them, and well, those types of photos show a lack of judgement.
7. The any publicity is good publicity mindset is WRONG.

Watching Sex & The City is not the problem here. Several months ago when Miley Cyrus started tarting it up with the dark hair, tough eyeliner and revealing clothing, my 12-year-old daughter and her friends turned their back on her. And they were huge Hannah Montana fans. But Miley decided to turn the corner and tart it up and the girls were on to it right away. When my daughter saw these pics from Vanity Fair she just rolled her eyes and looked disgusted. “Skank” just doesn’t play well with the American Girl crowd. The loud hissing sound you hear is the air going out of Miley's career. Hope she has tucked her money away in some sound investments.
