I first of all want to say, Elizabeth Hasselback is a fucking pain in the ass. You say that her parents should have stopped it because she's only 15, and that people should realize that the sexual exploitations of girls like have to stop. Turn on the tv and tell me what shows girls like her watch, Sex in the City, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Girls Next Door, and things like that. What do you expect to happen when girls watch these shows? That magically they won't decide to do the things that they have seen in them? These shows are telling girls that its ok to go to bars with fake ids and get alcohol, and that sleeping with the most popular boy will guarantee popularity. Maybe these network shows should look at what they are putting out there as entertainment. And parents should be watching what their kids are doing more. But please Elizabeth stop taking the "holier than thou, my shit doesnt stink and yours does" approach. You are a washed up tv reality star! Stop bashing other people for making decisions and go crawl in a hole somewhere and live your life! If I never hear another word from your mouth I would be in heaven!

I think it's all stupid. They need to take a look back in time and look at Britney Spears, and Christina and everyone when they were 15 years old and what they were made to look like and be. Yes, it's a little provocative, but you know what, if you are going to make these girls feel grown up, and then when they do something that would remind you of how young they really are, everyone flips out! She's old enough to make over a million dollars a week, but not old enough to take a picture that has some artistic but yet some sexiness to it? Don't put these girls in these positions if you are going to judge them for living up to what you already look at them for. Live and learn. We all did something stupid when we were 15 years old, fortunately our lives aren't under a freaking microscope everytime we turn around.

I don't think the pictures are sexual. I think they capture a young girl on the verge of becoming a woman. I would object to the shot of her in red lipstick, a short dress, and laying on the ground with a come hither look on her face before the other ones. The shots of her in the sheet and with her father are beautiful. If you think there is anything sexual about them then you should ask yourself why YOU are thinking of her in that manner. How many of us have photos of our children in the tub or yard nude? Are those now sexual pics also? Shouldn't we all be ashamed of ourselves ? She should be proud of those photos. They definitely portray someone who is pure, innocent, and full of self confidence. Went to Annie Lebo's exhibit in S.F. yesterday…I have to say, she takes lovely photos. Miley looks wonderful and I think the photos of her are awesome. Let it go…all you see is her back.

I think people overexaggerate to the max. When you watch the behind the scenes vid of it or look at the outtakes from thr shoot, in that picture, she is still wearing jeans and has the sheet covering the top. Yes, she is only 15 but I know plenty of younger girls who are way worse than anything she has done or pictures of herself she has taken. People think that 14 and 15 year olds are innocent for some reason, but the truth is, they aren't. They are having sex and im sure they take pictures of themselves too, but since Miley is a celeb they will make headlines that will sell. I just don't think its fair to categorise her as a slut, when im sure each and every one of you know way sluttier girls in highschool. The picture isnt scandalous, so people just need to get over it. I've read in another article that her parents were there but they left before the final shots. this picture that they're showing were shot after her parents left and only her grandmother and her teacher were present. i think that miley was manipulated and the photographer no matter how good she is should be more responsible with her action. miley made an error in her judgement when she had her pictures taken provocatively but more on the photgrapher and people from vanity because they should protect miley's reputation first. This people were thinking of the cash they could get from selling their magazine.
For all of you parents who think that seeing this photo is going to make your daughter grow up to be a skank, why don't you go take a look at their myspace page or, wow, talk to them, and see what they are really doing? The photo of Miley Cyrus on Vanity Fair is much less horrifying when you compare the way she's portrayed EVERYWHERE else in the media: her face caked with tons of makeup, he head covered by those fake looking wigs, a huge fake smile plastered across her face etc. Geez, take away everything fake about her and suddenly she's Ms. Teen Harlot 2008. I'd say she's setting a BETTER example for her fanbase. This is NOT up to the morals of one person vs another. You'll find that these kinds of pictures are actually illegal in most states, - California being one of them. The father (as guardian/enabler) and Liebowitz (as photographer/enticer) are in some VERY hot water. The law specifically states that these types of pictures cannot be taken for money and distribution if the subject is under 18, - and the KID obviously is.
