Miley Cyrus has got everyone's panties in a bunch!
Now, Christian groups are demanding that Disney reprimand the tween star.
The Christian Coalition of America (CCA) wants Cyrus to be held accountable for the semi-topless photos she just had published in Vanity Fair.
Michele Combs, a representative of CCA, tells says, "Disney should reprimand her. Miley should say it was a mistake and that kids have to be very careful at such a young age. Kids look up to her. Something needs to be done."
And they want the apology made during a televised press conference.
Combs goes on to say that photographer Annie Leibovitz has "a reputation for doing racy things. Miley should have thought this out before she agreed to go in front of Annie."
Combs, and the CCA are very disappointed and saddened by the photos, and the recently provocative internet photos.
She adds, "She was the one person out there who everyone seemed to trust. She should have been more thoughtful. If she's gonna go out there and represent wholesome values, she needs to be more accountable for her actions."
Oh, please. We bet she knows very well what she was doing. She was obviously happy and smiling throughout the photo shoot.
It's all a calculated move to get more famous!

I think that everyone needs to calm down. the internet photos were one thing, although the only reason those are even questionable is because she tries to act like an angel, however there is NOTHING wrong with her Vanity Fair shoot, it's her back for gods sake and i think she looks beautiful. I like Miley Cyrus because i think she's a normal teenager, she doesn't do coke but at the same time she's still a teenage girl who likes to have fun, and is exploring her sexuality.
She knows exactly what she's doing. It just backfired. Most stars get to approve their photos before finalized. Besides, there are stacks of other provocative pictures of her out there…she's been posing like she's 25 since she was 12. Where are her parents? She's a flippin runway train…
I have an 8 year old who adores Hannah Montana, and if she's going to portray herself as a wholesome teenager that does "all the right things" she needs to be more careful about the way she presents herself. However racy people may find the photos, if Miley or anyone around her feels the need to apologize for the photos, then they should have rethought taking them in the first place. They can't put the blame on others when they could have taken control of what was happening. And in regard to her internet photos: what the hell? Of course these things are going to leak, and she needs to be more careful of that, too. She should stop trying to change what she set to make herself out to be…people are gonna hate her for trying to be slutty when she isn't.

Capitalism (via the media and advertising) is a large reason that women, and increasingly young girls, continue to be portrayed in a sexist and exploitive manner. We are, literally, a hot commodity that earn them billions of dollars. Misogyny (evidenced by such words as slut, bitch, bimbo, skank-ass) is rampant. Miley, her parents and other women go along because that is the path of least resistance to earn their millions. It is not a powerful position. We hyper-sexualize girls at increasingly an younger age which is a sign of a crass, vulgar and apathetic society. I'm not a prude or a tight-ass, right-wing loon - I'm a progressive liberal who is simply horrified at all of this.

I think people need to back off, the photo is not bad at all!! I liked the photo and yes she is 15 years old but things could be much worse, she could be like Britney's sister and be pregnant!!! Give the girl a break!
