Miley Cyrus has got everyone's panties in a bunch!
Now, Christian groups are demanding that Disney reprimand the tween star.
The Christian Coalition of America (CCA) wants Cyrus to be held accountable for the semi-topless photos she just had published in Vanity Fair.
Michele Combs, a representative of CCA, tells says, "Disney should reprimand her. Miley should say it was a mistake and that kids have to be very careful at such a young age. Kids look up to her. Something needs to be done."
And they want the apology made during a televised press conference.
Combs goes on to say that photographer Annie Leibovitz has "a reputation for doing racy things. Miley should have thought this out before she agreed to go in front of Annie."
Combs, and the CCA are very disappointed and saddened by the photos, and the recently provocative internet photos.
She adds, "She was the one person out there who everyone seemed to trust. She should have been more thoughtful. If she's gonna go out there and represent wholesome values, she needs to be more accountable for her actions."
Oh, please. We bet she knows very well what she was doing. She was obviously happy and smiling throughout the photo shoot.
It's all a calculated move to get more famous!

I don't think it's literally the actual picture that has people up in arms. Because it's obviously just her back. It's the insinuation of her being naked. Yes she was fully clothed, but do you see any of that in the photo? It was clearly intended to look as though she was naked. THAT is what people are going crazy over.

1. Deliberately, knowingly, using extremely experienced personnel, exploited a 15 year old girl and her too-trusting parents into shooting nude photos of the 15 year old wearing heavy makeup and tossled hair in an overtly sexual pose. The parents didn't get to review the proofs, they only got to see them on a digital camera.
2. Created a role model behaviour for millions of children and teens that establishes a new norm in their minds which WILL be exploited by pedophiles.
3. Made a million bucks by doing so.

The issue is that adults who are charged with her care allow or encourage her to sexualize her image to sell product. Ms.Cyrus did nothing wrong. The problem lies with marketing a 15-year old as a sex object. People who say the photographs are art are missing the point…she was dolled up and pimped out by adults who chose to ignore the possible backlash these photos would cause. And now she is the one who has to apologize? Her parents, Liebowitz and "Vanity Fair" should make the apology…to her. My 8 yr old daughter saw the pics posted last week and without any word to me at all tossed out all of her Miley Cyrus pics, a refrig magnet and suddenly now refuses t play her cd. She has an acct at Miley World (which costs about $40 to subscribe to, paid for out of her own pocket!). She said that they will not allow her to cancel the subscription so she is trying to "get thrown off" the website because she is so angry at Miley for misrepresenting herself.
I am very very proud of my 8 year old for being an incredible judge of character and for choosing her role models well. Miley should be ashamed that she doesn't have the same discernment as an 8 yr old!

So she has an image and a reputation to maintain. Just like all Disney Channel stars. Miley Cyrus doesn't give a shit. Obviously her parents are to blame. She is 15 years old and NOT mature enough to choose to do a photo shoot like this. And I'm sure that her parents had to have given their consent to do this. They NEVER should have allowed her to do something that she could possibly regret later.

Miley is 15, she's a child, and not supposed to have good judgement yet. Her parents should have shown far better judgement. What parent in their right mind allows their teenage daughter to do that, artistic or not. You can't hold a 15 year old responsible for this, it's all on the parents.
