i actually liked it… it was chill.
this is awesome.. it's got creativity, beautifully crafted photography clips, and it's something different than the fucking pop cheese bullshit we get plastered with with day in and day out. DOWN WITH ASSLEE, DOWN with paris, down with lindsay, etc etc, all the talentless fucks out there. down with heidi and britney and the lot. THIS IS ART. this is real. this is interesting, a risk, and i admire it completely.

i thought it was very honest and original. scarlett really put herself out there, and i enjoyed her vulnerability. just because she wasnt a cookie cutter artist with the same exact sound as Britney or Madonna….. doesnt mean she doesnt have talent. id love to hear that single on Grey's Anatomy.
i love tom waits so i tried to like it..the video is inspired by sophia coppola's cinematography, so that worked for me..as i am in love with her work. but to be frank i think this would be better if she spun it as a makeup lesson video. that's what it felt like to me!
it's actually good.. it just isn't the bubblegum pop crap like the jonas brothers that you like.. different tastes for different people.

It's really not THAT bad. But it's not that good either. I like the Shoegazer sound…so the music itself wasn't hideous. The signing sounds like loud talking…but not the worst I've ever heard. The video itself is decent. But then again, after seeing the Heidi Montag video…anything is decent compared to that.
I really like it.
If she's got people like David Bowie and Nick Zinner working with her, then she can do no wrong.

I don't normally comment on here, but I feel compelled to after watching the above. What was she thinking?! Is it supposed to be sung badly?!
Initially, I almost turned it off because her vocals aren't what you'd expect. But nobody is looking at the bigger picture…the video. It's really interesting, and gives you insight on her life as an actress. It doesn't look as glamorous as it seems when you put it the way she did in her video. AND she's not dancing half naked in front of a camera like Lindsay Lohan did, so more to her. I can get used to her voice, and she can always get a little more vocal training. It's an unorthodox style of singing, but it doesn't mean it's bad singing!

The problem here Pereziepoo is that you are expecting typical modern pop crap that you seem to enjoy. If you knew anything about scarlett you would know that she wouldn't go anywhere near that! Its a remake of Tom Waits songs that are dear to her, and I am quite certain neither you or anyone else that commented here knows who Tom Waits is. I believe her goal was not to top any charts, but to make something personal to her. And that is why we love scarlett, she does it her way!

I can't wrap my head around WHY in this day and age we can't appreciate, or at least SUPPORT other people's creative endeavours.
