she makes me want to barf. actually i don't mind her voice too much, although she hit the mark a couple of times, but the video…omg, can she be any more into herself????? PUKE! what can we expect.

i love that david bowie does the back ups, and i heard somewhere she does one with Tom Waits!!! Common, if you dont like Tom or Bowie, i can fully understand not loving this song. Her voice is raw and real…i cant get enough!

I listened to it a few times and it's not TERRIBLE. She's way better than Lindsay Lohan LOL it's just not the normal mainstream pop sound. It's a little darker, it's what I would expect from her. I actually kinda like it. I can't wait to read the lyrics and try to see if it makes any sense though LOL

She shouldn't have let us see her without makeup. I never realized before how huge her nose is! And why the hell was Salman Rushdie nibbling her ear?! That was ultra creepy. And about the singing… it can sound ok when female singers do that low, gravel-y schtick for a line or two here and there. It can even help express emotions. But you can't do it for an ENTIRE SONG!!! It just sounds lazy. And in this case, makes us all think that Scarlett can't really sing, she can only growl.

I liked the song. They doubled up the vocals to make it sound fuller - which also helps cover up many inconsistencies, but also lends it a rather earthy yet angelic quality. I don't think it's bad.

Yeah…not what I was hoping for! Reminds me of a mix between Fiona Apple and Sinead O'Connor, but slower and pitchy…even for as low as she was singing. Oh well.

For Ms Johanson to love Waits enough to dedicate this album to his work shows depth.

The problem is that in her music, she is trying to be all ethereal, detached, and mysterious. Yet the video (and basically everything she does) is ALL ABOUT HER. Nothing detached about that - just egocentrism. The lyrics just plain suck. I see what she is going for and it'd be great if she came out of nowhere, had someone else write her lyrics for her, and made a video about something other than her getting dolled up for an appearance.
