I feel bad for the parents who have to put their foot down to their kids watching her show and her music videos. I think they thought they found a safe haven for their little girls to just listen to music, jump around, play with glitter, and act their own age (though I do think Libby Lu is probably run by the girl sect of NAMBLA). My parents had the same problem with the Spice Girls in reverse. They initially banned me from listening to them because they thought they were too sexy and their lyrics were too slutty. But eventually they softened up because the Spice Girls never did crap like this. They knew they were in the tween/teen business and never forgot it. No nude photos, no scandals, no nothing. They delivered what they promised: a "Girl Power" image where women are allowed to be feminine and in control at the same time.
