Juicy Couture filed a lawsuit in Manhattan on Tuesday against Victoria's Secret for 'stealing' Juicy's idea of slapping a brand name on the backsides of sweatpants.
You know, cuz that's SUCH an original idea!
"The similarities are not inadvertent and are designed to capitalize on the success of Juicy Couture," says the Federal suit.
Juicy's also claiming that Victoria's Secret's practice of selling apparel wrapped in the shape of lollipops, bon bons and ice cream cones totally bites off the success of Juicy's Sweet Shoppe packaging.
Guess when money is at stake (i.e. the shopping dollars of the lovely young ladies), copying is NOT viewed as the ultimate form of flattery!

Juicy is just upset because they are ridiculously expensive. Vicki's is cheaper. Bottom line!

Umm too bad I had sweatpants that said "love" and "sexy" on them in middle school, this was 1998 people, way before people were into the juicy pants. Abercrombie pants have been doing this for years too, its not original. The packaging may be tacky of VS to bite off, but its hardly something they should be sued over.

Duude, this trend is old. Mothers wearing Juciy are trashy; and in my opinion, unless your at the gym or jogging, track suits should not be worn in public. Put on a fucking pair of real pants, a shirt and jacket and clean yourself up. And Juicy suing VS is ridiculous, because you can buy a pair of pants with logos on the ass from wal-mart, any highschool or univerity, juicy, vs and god knows where else. I think 15 year old cheerleaders are the only people who would wear these pants. I wish actually, because sadly people actually do.

First off, where the hell has "Juicy Couture" been this entire time? Even before Victoria Secret started putting "letters" on their asses of their pants, Abercrombie and American Eagle were doing it. Umm, that's your personal opinion, but I'm 28 and a hot mom at that and I wear Victoria's sweats. You need to only speak for yourself. Plus, I work at the Pentagon in DC and have a Master's degree. So I'm not some ignorant woman who wears their clothing. It's not skanky, skanky is having you a** hanging out of your shorts or in my opinion being overweight and wearing tight clothes that you know aren't appropriate for you.

AS someone who has worked at Juicy corporate headquarters (not really corporate since Liz Claiborne OWNS them). They suck, everyone that works there is full of themselves and they use the same crap VS does to make their stuff. They have an office in ARLETA, CA, yeah that's real brand name right there (let me go to work in an area with crack addicts and homeless people). They just price it higher cause they "can".
