Ok, who regifts an engagement ring?! If I was Mariah, I would be angry too! If you were previously engaged to someone else and then broke up with that person and now wanted to marry me, you better not give me the same ring you gave her! Although an engagement ring really means nothing these days, because people are already sleeping with their to-be spouses anyways (so I mean, what's the point of even getting engaged or married anyway), ideally, it's supposed to symbolize your relationship with that person and the fact that you want to (theoretically) spend the rest of your life with her. Giving a girl your old fiancée's engagement ring is just wrong! Just because it's not on that girl's finger doesn't mean that the meaning of the ring has disappeared and now has new meaning! All I'm saying is new girl, new ring!

It looks to be about 12 carats. The ring Mariah has is clearly the fashionable, royal cut of Asscher. Extremely popular and while carat weight may be less, due to the step-cut, it's a higher value.
