According to new reports, Disney announced on Thursday that Miley Cyrus won't be attending her first (previously scheduled) public appearance since those 'scandalous' Vanity Fair pics went public.
Miley was to appear at a media party in Orlando on Friday, along with dozens of other Disney Channel stars in town to film the Disney Channel Games, a charity competition.
Disney did not elaborate on the reason for Miley's absence from the party.
They don't need to elaborate — she's still in the doghouse for dirtying things up!
She threw a wrench into the moneymaking machine!

That pic of Miley makes her look like that gal from the movie "Grundge ll"! How old is this girl…14-15? Too damn young to look like a street whore!! So she has a sheet wrapped around her top part, it's her face that looks so bad…all that makeup!! Annie Leibovitz created a portrait of intense, emerging feminine power. Americans find it shocking to be confronted with such an intensely human image because they are used to only being exposed to caricatures and cartoons like Hannah Montana which IS essentially a live action Disney cartoon.
How is this photo more objectionable than the bikini shots Miley took of herself in any case?

if you knew they were too risque, then she shouldn't have shot them in the first place. but she did, and she shouldn't be saying sorry for them, she did NOTHING wrong. My best friend's 16 year daughter has a ton of 15 and 16 year old friends and they look super slutty to me. They're all "rich" kids with push up bras and swinging the T&A into everyone's face. So the fact that Miley C. was trying to push her own envelope a bit doesn't surprise me. This is based on my friend's daughter's friends. they filmed the shooting of that photo shoot and it didnt look that serious. i think vanity fair takes advantage of the young girls.

The "Heath Ledger" joker face is actually brilliant. I think this version — Perez's? — shows the sadder version of the idolization of a young girl. This photo isn't disturbing to me, it's beautiful and haunting. Fuck, this is the shot Annie Liebovitz should have taken. By tring to make her beautiful and half naked, that's where half the free world freaked out. This photo is stunning. But you have to take the "why so serious" words off and let the make up speak for itself.
