That has to have been one of the most boring interviews Oprah has ever done. I think Tom popped a couple of extra Prozac before she came over.
Okay why does he walk like that!? what in the world is shoved up his ass? and whats with his shirt? like were they doing something before the cameras came that he only tucked it into the back? or is that cool now? Instead of only tucking it into the front.. so weird.
Tom Cruise bothers me, but Oprah bothers me more.
"Look at how normal your kitchen is!" she says… his kitchen is bigger than my entire apartment.
"You're house is so simple and earthy!" Simple? Wow bitch, you really forgot your roots.
I fucking hate her. She tries to save face by doing charity, but really, she is such a skank bag.
The interview was as phony and rehearsed as the first few comments on this message board. that's one cold atmosphere in that house that looks and feels nothing like a home. it's so bland and hollow that you can hear it crackle. I thought the interview was awkward, This was definitely a "PR" move for the Scientologists trying to make Tom seem "normal" and it failed. It sounded completely scripted. I feel kinda bad for Tom, hes a good actor but he's been completely manipulated by the Scientologists, his responses to Oprah's questions were strange especially when she asked him about the "Sofa incident". He started blaming her for it. He just seemed so devoid of any personality….if that makes any sense. I am very informed about Scientology's "history" and I really wish that Oprah would at least do a program on "ex-scientologists" and their experiences instead of praising Tom and his "beliefs" and his OLD MOVIE

How would WE have had OUR home look if Oprah and half the world were going to view it? He's been the laughing stock of every household for jumping on a couch (big deal) proclaiming his love for Katie. (We should all be so lucky.) Face it, we sit behind our private computers typing smug, negative, nasty assaults on a family we've never even met. We flippantly say he's gay, crazy, whatever. This is America, the home of the free - free to believe whatever the hell we want! (Loved the American flag waving in front of his home). When she said, "Goodbye" and "I love you" it was as if translated, she meant, "You've taken so much shit, hang in there and I just know you'll do great." Their home is fabulous and it was a delight "roaming" through it. (Loved Suri's little Nemo stuffed toy in her play room.) There's a curious side to all of us, which is why we tuned in and watched, whether by TV or Perez's clip. The main thing to ponder is this: Perhaps the reason he's been blessed with such an incredible life is because his KARMA is GOOD. He's not a hater - like most of us on this site. Most religions (Dalai Lama, Christianity, etc.) stress being POSITIVE, not negative. I'm happy for them. End of subject.

The house, Tom, Katie, Suri's Harry Potter room under the stairs,….all of it it is fake and creepy. I also don't believe for one second that Suri is his biological child. I think she was pregnant when she met him and their life is one big lie. It will catch up with them one day….you'll see.

I hate Tom Cruise even more now than I did before. In this interview I didn't believe a word he said. Everything is too perfect. NOBODY'S life is that perfect, even a hot movie star. The kids? Perfect. Suri? Magical. Relationship with Nicole? Fantastic. Kids relationship with Nicole? Great. Relationship with "Kate"? Fantastic. Notice, though, he never really answered the question about Nicole and the kids. His response was just to repeat "We have joint custody." He's full of shit and I will never pay to see another of his movies ever again.

How many times did he say "hang out", we all just hang out, this is where we hang out… He was trying so hard to come off as relaxed and easy going, but that isn't the truth and there was no way of hiding it, he's really not that good of actor. So many times Oprah would ask a question and he'd start a reply with "listen" or "look". Classic control freak, classic. "Listen" and "look" are commands, they are orders. He wants control because he's the absolute control freak, and there is no way for him to hide that. When asked about Brooke and Matt, what could he even say, and he didn't say too much about it. He's a freak, a big control freak that has Katie completely Stepfordized and he's gross as ever. Sorry Tom, your damage control interview didn't work.

Tom is a VERY smart man. He did "damage" control. He laid low for awhile and came back to do a very "polite" yet calculated interview w/Oprah. This man wants his image back. It's deceiving really. You know that interview was pretalked about. Even when they are looking under the stairs at Suri's room allegedly for the first time… there is already a camerman inside filming it. Every single thing was somewhat rehearsed. He had bitterness towards Oprah with the whole "You egged me on" about the couch jumping…. he also wouldn't really fess up with Matt Lauer. The thing with him… he tried to smooth things over saying it was taken out of context… but really he meant everything. I think it was a calculated clever interview that will fool the weak minded who want to like him again.
… we don't really know who Tom is (or Katie for that matter), and why should we? They're actors, not our family. Frankly, they're none of our business. That said, though, I think Tom's a well-meaning and basically good guy who feels very strongly about his religion and gets really passionate in the moment and may not say or do things people think are "normal." SO WHAT? Also, he's totally on the mark about Suri. Why in the hell are they obligated to parade her in front of any of us? And what is wrong with the media (and the people who believe the crap they spew) that they would say horrible and slanderous things about a child? Lastly, so what if Katie has changed and isn't the smiling, seemingly fun-loving woman people THINK she used to be. Perhaps the horrible things the media have said about her relationship w/Tom and about her child have wounded her to the point where she is totally OVER the whole scene. Maybe she cares more about her family than her public persona–and that's as it should be.
Well, I must say, this interview, if promoted correctly, could be Tom's redemption.

This is the program in which Oprah JUMPED THE SHARK. I used to have a great deal of respect for her. Which such power I don't know why she sold her credibility so cheaply. The only thing that makes any sense at all is that one deeply closeted gay celebrity was helping another deeply closed gay celebrity. I'm sure such commonality would create a deep kinship. But Cruise isn't only a deeply closeted gay celebrity. He is also a religious lunatic, leading a dangerous religion that takes the money of those is pretends to help and stalks and at times kills those who oppose them. Oprah should not be supporting this evil, regardless of other similarities.

Ton Cruise came across as rehearsed and completely evasive.
Nothing he says can create redemption, in my opinion, for his having chosen to associate with the also creepy Scientology group.
And what is he doing to assist his anorexic-appearing wife health wise?

The "hardest" asked questions ALL came back to Tom and his family.
It implied that anything said about him was some kind of ATTACK on his family.
Which is bullshit, and we all know it.
You can demand answers about the people who someone claims public allegiance to without "violating" some kind of "right to private choice".

It was very disturbing viewing.
Unfortunately, Tom Cruise did nothing in today's interview to support his credibility. He appeared to be insincere and untruthful, and Oprah, unfortunately, appeared to be more enthralled with being in his presence than she was with actually trying to obtain the truth.
That was an hour of my time that I will never get back, what a waste!
I kept trying to figure out what was bugging me about this interview and stating that he was trying to rewrite history nails it on the head.
Only proves that he is a desperate, pathetic fool.
Congratulations, Oprah…what a service you have performed for the "cult" of $cientology.
Now that you've allowed Tom to clear up all those silly misunderstandings, the whole world is in love with him again, fans will once again flock to see his movies, and he can continue to be the #1 recruiter for his beloved CULT.
