When I was 17, my best friend was 32. She stayed my best friend for several years… I was just starting college (early), and she was starting college as well (having put it off for several years). I was very mature for my age, and we really enjoyed each other's company. I don't think that friendship should have age limits.

I'm 21, and I have friends my own age, but I also hang out with my younger brother and his friends when they're around (and they're 16-18). I don't think age makes a difference once you get to 15 or 16 years old. Yes, if she was 10 and her best friend was 16, that would be weird. But there's a point where age begins to not matter at all.
