It's Tom Petty, leaving his concert at the Troubadour in Los Angeles this past weekend. At least he's still working! Petty has recently reformed his very first band, Mudcrutch, a group that broke up more than 30 years ago without ever recording an album.

Well, DUH!!! Of course, that's Tom Petty. I saw the show at the Troub 2 nights last week and it was fookin' amazing. Tom said he'd be doin Mudcrutch for awhile, they are having so much fun. AND making great music. Not only is TOM a superstar musician but that band has two of the premiere musicians in music today, the incomparable MIKE CAMPBELL and BENMONT TENCH! They alone are worth the price of admission. Don't miss them when they come ’round again!

Here is a man who counted George Harrison as one of his best friends, performed with Bob Dylan individually and in the Traveling Wilburys, is in the freakin' Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, has penned more songs than you've heard in your entire life, is performing in the same Rock 'n Roll Band (Tom Petty & the Hearbreakers) for 30+ years, has reformed his original band and is out on tour with them (in addition to touring later this year with TP&TH), has had the integrity to stand up to big music companies, keeps his ticket prices down for the fans, and you've got the gall to call him a Celebutard?
