Filed under: Baby Blabber > Tom Cruise

Suri Cruise has been stepping out with her daddy in NYC these last few days.

The child is now 2 years old.

Isn't that too old to still be sucking on the bottle??????

My daughter was off the bottle at 1 year old. Shame on you Tom & Katie! Maybe if you would take the time and get involved in her life, and not leave everything up to the nanny, you would know how to take care of a kid!

Mine is still on hers and she'll be four, it's no big deal. They are still babies technically.

yes a child should be taken off a bottle as 1yr of age and moved to a sippy cup. Failing to do so will result in bottle rot teeth and a serious overbite

Definitely too old for a bottle. My son is 10 months old & doesn't use a bottle. Hello…issues.

I stopped drinking from the bottle when I was 24 years old and I am a perfectly normal person. Drinking from the bottle for me was just a thing of commodity. I loved drinking my coffee in it while laying down watching tv and you can't do that with a glass or cup.

We are just SUPPOSSED to leave the bottle the first one or two years. But I think it's fine.

A child is never too old to drink milk from a bottle - when she grows up she can look at the bobble heads in this world and declare you shoulda drink your milk even if it's in a bottle, Look at ya'll!!! SURI IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BABY IN HOLLYWOOD For Christ sake, we have weaners eating shit on a you know what, and licking milk from a u know what Get a life weaners.

    1312

WHAT? you think the poor think should be going around with a cup full of milk so hopefully she can drop it all on her dads 50 000$ tuxedo??? Its not about being ”to Old”, its about being practical.

  13. Xtal says – reply to this

    1313

Duh! I hate when parents don't take the bottle away. It should be taken away by a year. I'm surprised that Suri doesn't have a pacifier like Kingston. How old is he 4 now?

  14. sezI says – reply to this

    1314

maybe this is a sign of her future after all her daddy is a nut job and could drive anyone to drink.

I still give my 21 month old a bottle before naptime and bedtime. She drinks out of a cup the rest of the day. I plan to ween her at two. My doctor said by age 3. I think it's weird though that she ALWAYS has a bottle.

  17. rhianon says – reply to this

    1317

it might be okay for naps and such, but she should at least be drinking it less, and use a sippy cup..tomkat probably just has no idea what they are doing. either that, or maybe there is some wierd scientology rule about bottles..

    1318

way to old I work at a daycare and they are off bottles by 18 months. Bottles are not even allowed in a 2 year old class room. And for solid food, babies start solid food at 8-10 months.

…..YOU ARE TEARING APART A CHILD IN THE MEDIA SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME ON ALL OF YOU. Who gives a flying fig if they let her have a bottle.

Re: elyse – SHE CAN GET JUST AS MANY CALORIES FROM MILK OUT OF A CUP RATHER THAN A BOTTLE, STILL HAVING A BOTTLE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EXTRA CALORIES FROM MILK. DUMB ASS

    1321

Re: Jade – you're absolutely right! Atleast Suri walks - have we ever seen Shiloh's feet touch the ground or Zahara's for that matter!? the truth is, we never see any of the Pitt kids with anything other than chips in their hands. I've never seen Shiloh toting a sippy cup or bottle. But then again, how often do we even see that child anyway. She's always left behind with the nannies… probably downing a ton of bottles! I agree, leave Cruise alone. He raised children and seems to have done a good job with the older ones. If anyone should raise an eyebrow regarding child rearing it should be directed towards Jolie and Pitt who seem to have the most unstable and unhealthy lifestyle.

    1322

I am degreed in ECE, and YES!!!!! This child is WAY too old for a bottle. Sippy cups, fine, whatever but a bottle?? Get real. Milk doesn't have to come in a bottle. There are easy ways to transition kids from the bottle to the cup, and you can bet those two just aren't investing the time to address it THEMSELVES. Those two morons should invest some of their millions in parenting classes.

  23. twinsmom says – reply to this

    1323

I think her parents aka nannies are just lazy and don't want to take it away. And the people who say it's okay were probably just lazy with their kids to and are on the defense. She should have a bottle up until she is 1. No longer. AND you can drink milk from a sippy cup, elyse- what a dumbass.

  24. Mom - o - 4 says – reply to this

    1324

YES!!! They apparently are too lazy to give her a sippy cup - afraid that she may cry and become too demanding! They probably give her the bottle to go to sleep as well. She'll have tooth rot by the time she is 4!

  25. wen says – reply to this

    1325

You shouldn't give a baby a bottle after the age of 12 months. Terrible…

  26. kelster says – reply to this

    1326

she'll finish with the bottles when she's ready… it's really no biggie

  28. Tina says – reply to this

    1328

Suri should not be using the botttle anymore. She should be using a cup. Lazy parnets keep their children on bottles as not to have to clean up the mess…oops Tom doesn't anyway

  29. cutiee.....:P says – reply to this

I did not realize you were an expert! in the scheme of things does it really matter if a little 2 year old is still enjoying her bottle. she looks very sweet.
