Filed under: Baby Blabber > Tom Cruise

Suri Cruise has been stepping out with her daddy in NYC these last few days.

The child is now 2 years old.

  4. Port Douglas Mum says – reply to this

    304

There is no way I would let my child have a bottle at 2. My 18th month old uses a cup and when we go out she drinks out of her tomme tippee sippy cup. $10 at Kmart. There you go.

  5. mama says – reply to this

    305

No it's not too old. You apparently don't have kids perez..lighten up hard ass.

  6. jenn says – reply to this

    306

    they can aford braces

  7. Toni says – reply to this

    307

I work at a day care with infants.. they usually take them off the bottle at one year.

  8. Elizabeth says – reply to this

    308

This is just sad, you are obviously running out of material, thanks for the reminder of how stupid and irrelevant you are.

  9. Jen says – reply to this

    309

My son had a bottle still at two, but just for before bedtime! NOT during the day, just a sippy cup. It needs to be gone soon for sure!

  10. Kristin says – reply to this

    310

It is definitely too old. Her teeth could rot!

  11. Marianne Chitter Chatter says – reply to this

    311

First bitches. You'd think they'd be embarassed to take her out with a bottle like that, like she's a baby or something. They probably think they don't have to abide by any sort of social norms. They won't be feeling so smart when her teeth are all messed up from sucking on a bottle until she was like 20 or something.

  12. Jesyka says – reply to this

    312

wouldn't it be funny if they had an endorsment deal with that type of bottle and so suri has to always be seen with it!

  13. VIC says – reply to this

    313

Yea Perez you are perfect, try to raise a child, you cant even raise a DOG

  14. Liz says – reply to this

    314

Yes, it absolutely is!! She should be using a sippy cup now. I don't believe there are any health issues from it though.

  15. canadianannon says – reply to this

    315

just because she is seen w/ a bottle doesnt mean she doesnt use cups too!! my son is suri's age uses his sippy cups and loves regular cups during the day, and has a little bottle w/ milk at storey time, b4 teeth brushing and bed, its just a comfort and part of a routine for them……and it stimulates brain activity, self-soothing and decreases oral fixation issues later….

  16. B says – reply to this

    316

Maybe she needs it when faced with hundreds of flashing cameras. She may not need it normally, but it might be the only thing that keeps her from freaking out.

HILLARY is sooooo much better than O-bomb-A! Please VOTE for Hillary at all cost.

  18. eb says – reply to this

    318

Depends whats in it. Its probably milk not formula.

  19. OMG says – reply to this

    319

Re: Flossie – bullshit 99% of america! get your figures straight lady. 10 months old and you ripped that bottle from your little one? how about we all start calling you a lazy ass mother for not wanting to wash bottles anymore and maybe that's the real reason you did away with them! Why did you do it 2 months prior to the doctor recommended age of 1 years old? Babies do need milk and most prefer it to soothe them before bed. How do you make a 10 month old sit up in bed and drink out of a cup? YOU DON'T. People taking bottles away from children that can't even walk yet is unheard of! That goes double for the poster who said she took her kid off the bottle at 6 months! Leave Suri alone. She just turned 2 and she probably switches back and forth with a sippy! you all need to just STFU and mind your own children. you sound like a bunch of catty bitches. Who would want to do a playdate with you !???

  20. mariposa says – reply to this

    320

Nope!!! I still sucking in my bottle, at my age is a beer bottle!!!

  21. ummmm says – reply to this

    321

oh please, shes a little girl leave her alone. she likes her bottle, no harm no foul

  22. jennnny says – reply to this

    322

I don't think so…what's the big deal? Then again…my son is 2 and is still sucking on my BREASTS!!!! ha ha.

  23. dee says – reply to this

    323

yea it is too old especially since shes a "genius" riggghhhhtttt

  24. Courtney says – reply to this

    324

YES IT IS!!!!! These people need to read a parenting book or some shiz.

  25. Jill says – reply to this

    325

I guess it's one of those things that come down to differing parenting attitudes. I was never allowed to drag bottles around, I was made just sit and drink until I was finished. I think that was mainly because mum thought that having bottles sitting around was dirty.

  26. Mother of 2 says – reply to this

    326

Ask any pediatrician and 9 times out of 10 the will recommend that by 1yr you start to introduce the sippy cup..
By 1 1/2 the child should be drinking from the cup the majority of the time…
Any longer than that you run the risk of tooth decay..

  27. Habibti says – reply to this

    327

My peditrician reccommended NO MORE BOTTLE BY 18 Months!

  28. d.jones says – reply to this

    328

    NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. melinda says – reply to this

    329

OH MY GOSH YES!!! at one! no formula, milk, in a sippy cup! no pacifiers either. UGH! and it is not a hard habit to break unless you're a parent who lets the kid run the household!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  30. Angelica says – reply to this

    330

So what if she drinking from a bottle, do you paid for her milk & bottle, so shut up.

  31. AMO says – reply to this

    331

YES!!! My son stopped drinking from a bottle at 9 months. They're messing up her teeth and keeping her from branching out into toddlerhood. It's like they want her to stay a baby forever. Tom mentioned she says Papa Cruise now. Ok, she should be speaking in 3 word sentences ATLEAST! I don't know what's going on in that house.

  32. clee says – reply to this

    332

yes! most children give up bottles at 1, not 2…but this is a celebrity child and much attention is not given to these children by their parents, therfore thats probably the reason for this. raised by nanny's not by their parents. plus it has a plastic bottom like that, that is more so used for babies so there is not so much air in the bottle, hell i seen kate hudsons son with a pacifer until the age of 3!

  33. jennnny says – reply to this

    333

Kristen, you're an idiot. Teeth don't rot from bottle use. Teeth rot from bottle use AT NIGHT, and when the teeth aren't brushed.

  34. Smart MoMMy says – reply to this

    334

Re: michele 2 years old is not bottle time Michele…Wow….I hope you dont have kids…After 1 year they tell you start gettin your child to drink out of a sippy cup….Hopefully you dont have that same timeline about potty training…LoL

  35. sue says – reply to this

    335

what else is she supposed to be drinking out of on the street? a gallon jug of milk? seriously perez

  36. abg says – reply to this

    336

YES! WAY TO OLD, my daughter was off the bottle at 14 months. All Dr's will tell you 2 is too old. Maybe its a another scientologist belief??!?!?!?!?!?

  37. Aud says – reply to this

    337

Since it's not too old to be breast feeding…I'm going to venture a no to your question. Also, when you're wearing designer clothing it's probably best to give the child a bottle rather than a spill-able cup. Duh.

  38. Lindsee says – reply to this

    338

Perez - stick to gossip! Not to parenting questions. Why do you even care?

  39. ginny says – reply to this

    339

yes it is. i am the mother of two, so i am speaking from experience. it is too old.

  40. malee says – reply to this

    340

no not really but she should use the sippie cup with the soft nipple !! like my kids… perez you aint got kids so dont be presuptuos

  41. Fucking Morons says – reply to this

    341

People who keep their kid on a bottle for two years are lazy, selfish, and not fit to be parents.

  42. ggg says – reply to this

    342

yes it's too old. it's horrible for their teeth. kids should be off the bottle BY ONE YEAR! My ped had me wean my kids beginning around 10 months - by a year, they could drink out of a sippy or straw cup.

  43. Jason says – reply to this

    343

She probably does use a sippy cup when Tom isn't carrying her wearing expensive suits for her to spill it on.

  44. Poisanna says – reply to this

    344

    WHO CARES!

  45. Cady says – reply to this

    345

Who cares? I'm still on the bottle…… of Jim Beam.

  46. RACHEL S. says – reply to this

    346

    PEREZ,
THIS IS MY ADVICE TO YOU. I AM A DIE HARD TOM CRUISE FAN AND SO ARE A LOT AND I MEAN A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE. I LOVE YOU BUT EVERY TIME YOU DISS ON TC OR ATTEMPT TO CRITIQUE HIS PARENTING SKILLS OR FAMILY BUSINESS… YOU PUSH ME AWAY. IT HURTS TO BE PUSHED AWAY BY SOMEONE YOU LOVE. AFTER WATCHING THE INTERVIEW WITH OPRAH TODAY AND LAST FRIDAY, IT JUST REMINDED ALL OF US HOW SPECIAL AND HOW DOWN TO EARTH TOM REALLY IS. YOU WILL FIND ANYTHING TO MAKE FUN OF OR MAKE A DEAL OUT OF WITH HIM AND YOU NEED TO STOP!!!! NO 2 IS NOT TOO OLD TO BE ON A BOTTLE DON'T BE A DUMB ASS. SERIOUSLY. WHAT THE HELL DO YOU KNOW ABOUT PARENTING?!?!? HE IS A GREAT GUY AND HAS EARNED EVERY OUNCE OF RESPECT HE HAS IN THIS WORLD. JUST LEARN WHERE TO DRAW THE LINE.

  47. Kris says – reply to this

    347

yes, thats too old! you are supposed to be off the bottle around a year old…shes going to have bad teeth

  48. elizabeth says – reply to this

    348

Too late. Pediatrician says start getting rid of it at 12 months, definitely at 14 months. A 9 month old can drink from a cup.

  49. adult says – reply to this

    349

i thought scientologists are all about treating their kids like adults? its way too old

  50. J says – reply to this

    350

    Obviously a comment from a non-parent!

Kids drink milk from bottles up to 3-4 years old, it's just a matter of when and how frequently.

  51. k says – reply to this

    351

i guess it would be semi-acceptable if she had water or juice in the bottle. however, it looks like she still has the bottle with the plastic bags inside that are used for infants!!!

  52. Lorelai says – reply to this

    352

OMG Perez…she probably gets a bottle to just mess around with (and drink out of) when they go out. Most likely she uses a regular cup at home by now… Are you really this ignorant about kids…posing a SERIOUS question like this? You REALLY don't come up with an answer like this yourself?

  53. Amanda says – reply to this

    353

Yes…by 12 months she should have been on a sippy cup…I've always thought that was strange. My doctor was adament about this with my child. Wonder if there is a developmental issue?

  54. meaghan says – reply to this

    354

Yes! as a nutritionist we encourage kids to stop the bottle at 12 months. staying on the bottle too long can cause cavities, crooked front teeth, and fussy eating later on…

  55. Loser Lover says – reply to this

    355

Re: Lindsee – Why are you even commenting…stupid ass

  56. Bee says – reply to this

    356

My son is only 2 months older than Suri and still occasionally has a bottle. If I give him a cup, I need to make sure he's sitting down at a table and that I have a clean top and a cloth to clean up any spills. If we're out and about sometimes it's just more convienient to give him a bottle instead of a cup.

It's amusing reading the reactions - you can tell who has experience with toddlers and who's naive.

  57. lolo says – reply to this

    357

WOULD YOU IDIOTS STOP DISCUSSING THE BOTTLE AND WAKE UP AND REALIZE THAT SHE IS NOT TOM CRUISE'S BIOLOGICAL DAUGHTER AND SHE IS OLDER THAN 2!!!!!!!!!!! APRIL 18 IS NOT HER BIRTHDAY. KATIE FAKED THE END OF HER "PREGNANCY" TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE SHE WAS PREGNANT WITH TOM'S BABY. IN REALITY SHE WAS PREGNANT BEFORE THEY METTTTT!!@!!!IT IS A SCIENTOLOGY CONSPIRICY TO MAKE TOM LOOK LIKE A REAL MAN. GO BACK AND LOOK AT PICTURES OF HER THROUGHOUT HER PREGNANCY. HER BELLY WAS BIG, THEN SMALLER , THEN BIG AGAIN.

  58. sarah says – reply to this

    358

thank you ,thank you thank you, for saying that. she should def be off that bottle., my kids were both off the bottle at 10 months!!!!

  59. whytetrash says – reply to this

    359

my kids are 7 and 9…and they are still on the bottle. nothing wrong with it at all. all u haters better recognize.

  60. Miwa says – reply to this

    360

Yeah, two's a bit old to be using a bottle.

  61. Maya says – reply to this

    361

no its not old, my sister had her bottle until she attended preschool..it was her "security blanket"..

  62. Traycee says – reply to this

    362

    Ummmmmmmmm…Yes!

  63. Mom of 2 says – reply to this

    363

It's not the end of the world. She won't go to college with it.

  64. Tony says – reply to this

    364

OK losers. I think it's a little old to be on a bottle but… C'mon. It's not like she's going to be walking around with a bottle hanging outta her mouth when she's an adult. She will graduate to a cup someday. U people would criticize Jesus Christ if given the chance. Jeez.

  65. G says – reply to this

    365

No! Now for teddy it would be a problem!

  66. C says – reply to this

    366

yup it's normal me and my younger sister both used a bottle when we we're 2

  67. rumblina says – reply to this

    367

Re: elyse – that has to be the most ignorant thing I've read. Children transition into solids at one year not 2. Weaning from the bottle begins at about one…mosst make the full transition by 18 mo.s and even most daycares stop providing a bottle by then. At 2 they may still get an evening/bedtime bottle if they're still weaning but there's no real harm in it. Look at Heidi Klum's kids…there are pics from their Disney trip where one of the older tots has a bottle and NO ONE bothered to mention that.

  68. FREAKS says – reply to this

    368

WAY too old. That freak Leah's Remini's daughter is older than that and has a bottle. It will ruin the shape of her mouth. (GWTW) Listen to the old folks and knock that shit off now. Surprised she isn't still on the book. That' s probably for Tom!!!!

  69. Julianne says – reply to this

    369

Yes - her palate is not getting any favors. She should be on a sippy cup or a regular cup - all that bottle does is trap sugar behind her teeth and can cause decay (and malform her palate). But what do we know? Maybe there is a reason they are doing this…before we judge I would assume that with their ability to hire medical teams they have been fully informed.

  70. KLC says – reply to this

    370

2 yrs old is WAY too old to have a bottle and a it looks like a playtex bottle for babies who as being weaned off the boob…man TOMKAT is crazy…but at least they can afford the dental bills this poor girl will have in her future if she keeps suckin' on that bottle!!! :-)

  71. Amelia says – reply to this

    371

At one years old your child should be off the bottle or else their teeth can rot. At two most kids can drink out of real cups. But scientologists are allowed to drink from bottles until they 12. Zenu said so.

  72. Karen Walker says – reply to this

    372

No its fine!, my son didnt get off the bottle when he was 2 bitch so shut the fuck up!!!!!

  73. Ronnie says – reply to this

    373

She shoulda been off that about a year ago…and they should probably stop carrying her ass around…let the kid walk by herself

  74. Melissa says – reply to this

    374

I heard that she is still on breastmilk. Scientology thing or something??

  75. Selle says – reply to this

    375

its her milk so thats fine, its nice of them to give her some form of comfort while being pimped out

  76. Mommy of 3 says – reply to this

    376

It just might be a comfort thing for Suri. However, she should be with a sippy cup now. Well, at least Cruise has money for her braces when she gets older.

  77. CHYA says – reply to this

    377

    SERIOUSLY!!!

  78. joy says – reply to this

    378

Yes. But look at who her parents are. Seriously.

  79. Suzanne says – reply to this

    379

1 year is the general rule…especially during the day, and out in public! Maybe one bottle at night until a year and a half…but not 2 { : - )

  80. future speech therapist says – reply to this

    380

    Re: AMO

if suri is 2, then she should be speaking in two-word sentences (on average). maybe she can say more, but it's not like we ever hang out with her, so how would we really know?

  81. gidget says – reply to this

    381

Since when has Perez become a parenting expert?! Leave celebrities kids out of it!!
It is so aggravating when innocent celebrity children are dragged in the mud!
I am sure it is just a security thing for Suri…esp. w/ all those crazy photogs….and cameras flashing in her face I am sure she needs it!!!

  82. Jennifer says – reply to this

    382

He's just trying to shut her up because she'd rather scream "Get me outta here!" :)

  83. Sophie says – reply to this

    383

Yes…too old…should be off bottle by 1 year old. Clearly Lazy parenting!

  84. Jenne says – reply to this

    384

It sure is….she should have been introduced to a sippy cup just before the age of 1 and then had the bottle taken soon after…. The parents have to own up and just stick with it….

  85. lex says – reply to this

    385

Criticize, criticize, criticize. Having a two year old drink from a bottle will do her no harm. The World Health Organization recommends that babies breast feed until they're 2 years old, so I doubt a bottle will hurt either. Everyone's in a hurry to make kids grow up, but let them just be little. Relax, she's still a baby.

  86. keleigh says – reply to this

    386

Re: elyse – Do you even have children? Kids are not transitioning to solids at 2. They start doing that at 6 months or so. I have 4 children and every last one of them was off the bottle by their 1st b-day. People who give their kids bottles at 2 are just too lazy to deal with the crying that comes along with taking it away. Lazy parents!

  87. bly says – reply to this

    387

As a physician, my colleagues and I say - off of the bottle and pacifier by age one…

  88. pedidoc says – reply to this

    388

Yes. We (pediatricians) recommend getting rid of the bottle by 12 months.

  89. duh says – reply to this

    389

uhmm, YES. she should be in the sippy cup stage haha.

  90. Alicia says – reply to this

    390

Bottles should be taken away by the age of one. It can effect the positioning of teeth. Children who lay down with the bottle can have problems with their ears. Also, it is milk that is in the bottle which increases her chance of having cavities. Drinking from a cup would decrease the likely hood of "grazing" (sucking on the bottle for hours and continuing to bath the teeth in sugar) Yes, milk is full of sugar!!

  91. Dee says – reply to this

    391

Leave this kid alone! Some kids keep a bottle until there 3.

  92. jessica says – reply to this

    392

they dont care as long as it keeps the kids from screaming and crying. they'll pay to have her teeth fixed when she is old enough

  93. lisa says – reply to this

    393

my little boy is two and can drink from a regular cup……

  94. Becky says – reply to this

    394

THANK YOU! I have an 18 month old daughter and it's NOT ok for a child this age to have a bottle, infact, after they turn 1 they shouldn't have anything more than a sippy cup. For the past few days I've seen that picture and wondered why no one questions it.

  95. busymom says – reply to this

    395

yes, it is too old. She should be learning how to drink from a regular cup now, or on a sippy cup that is much like drinking from a regular cup.

  96. laura says – reply to this

    396

No it's not…some kids take longer to let go of the bottle

  97. jmk says – reply to this

    397

I was told to wean off the bottle at age one, for both my kids. So yes, I think it's strange that she's always got a bottle with her at age 2.

  98. Laura says – reply to this

    398

it's not too old. i'm sure she drinks out of other cups, too. that bottle looks like it spills less, for one thing. plus she's only 2. no harm will come from her having a bottle. the thing about bottles rotting kids teeth is that they give them milk before bed and then don't brush the teeth. if they brush her teeth she'll be fine. it's also a comfort thing and i'll assume having cameras in your face is stressful.

  99. rat says – reply to this

    399

PLEASE LEAVE SURI ALONE. Quit putting alien antennae on her. She is too young to defend herself. I am sure it rips her mother apart every time someone says something about her negative or hurtful.

Leave all the small children of celebrities alone. They are not responsible for their parent's actions. THEY ARE NOT FAIR GAME.

  100. lje says – reply to this

    400

    YES.
