Suri Cruise has been stepping out with her daddy in NYC these last few days.

The child is now 2 years old.

Isn't that too old to still be sucking on the bottle??????

Her dad sucks, why shouldn't she? She should have some nice fucked up teeth in her future like her daddy. If he is her daddy.

  2. Shelley says – reply to this

    402

My niece breastfed until she was 3 years old. I've seen weirder.

  3. duh says – reply to this

    403

The minute a kid starts talking the bottle should be taken away.

  4. Jade says – reply to this

    404

I think preschool age (about three) is the time when you get off the bottle.

  5. Lisa says – reply to this

    405

Do you have kids. Abottle can be a security for chilodren and if she needs it than its no big deal. What about 2-3 year olds who still use a pacifier, gwens baby does!!!!

  6. monica says – reply to this

    406

Actually is not a problem my daughter who is now 5 years didnt get off the bottle until three and half and she have perfect teeth because she is obssed with brushing her teeth. everytime she go to the dentist since she was 12 months old no cavity always get cavity free certificate. As long they dont take it to bed its fine. My son is almost 24 months old is still in the bottle too. All kids are different

  7. Suzy says – reply to this

    407

Too old for a baba!! No longer than 1 year…especially during the day and out in public!!! Maybe 1 bottle at night until a year and a half, but come on! Regular cup time. I am surprised that they let her hang on to that!! Aren't u guys?? { ; - )

  8. Yo says – reply to this

    408

Y do you alwayz have something negative to say about Tom Cruise and his family???!!!!! Ur getting corny Perez!

  9. Lookit the monkey! says – reply to this

    409

Waaaaaaay too old! Maybe she's retarded. And her playroom is really ugly and creepy btw.

  10. NeuroD says – reply to this

    410

It is bad for her teeth since sucking on a bottle bathes the teeth - it encourages constant drinking rather than recognizing thirst. Sucking can cause malocclusion. If she can chew food, she can drink from a cup. Weaning should take place in the same way mother nature would have it happen- when babies reach the age to have lots of teeth, they get weaned. Weaning from a bottle usually is done by the age of 18 months- if not earlier. And she isn't drinking milk- she is probably drinking the barley crap scientologists feed their kids. It will be much harder to potty train a kid who is constantly drinking from a bottle- she'll have to pee ALL the time! This child is WAY past the age that sucking stimulates ANYTHING. She wouldn't even have a sucking REFLEX left unless she had developed it as a HABIT. That so called Stanford professor who posted must have never taken a class in neuro development! A natural sucking reflex peaks at 3-5 months then steadily declines naturally and is NOT in force by this age unless it was allowed to continue by continually offering a bottle. Most kids don't even want a bottle at this age. They want to be "big kids".

  11. dina says – reply to this

    411

it's fine at night before bed, even that's pushing it tho…not all day long, she should have a sippy cup!!!!!

  12. TrishAAAAAAA says – reply to this

    412

NO….this is about the age when the weaning begins. Nothing out of whack about the precious girl with a bottle.

  13. lallie says – reply to this

    413

i have a almost 3 y\o nephew and he still has a bottle… but he has CP

  14. Told Ya'll says – reply to this

    414

Pssst. hey Tom, you have the $$$, get that nose bopped already!

  15. Samm says – reply to this

    415

Well considering they are walking around, a sippy or open cup would probably cause a lot of mess.

  16. peach says – reply to this

    416

From a Speech Therapy perspective (specializing on infant - toddler feeding/ swallowing) she should have been drinking from a 'sippy' cup around 6 months of age. She should definately be drinking from a 'regular' cup at two years of age. Not only does it change her dentition but it can also affect tongue strength and range of motion, which can lead to speech difficulties (and possible swallowing difficulties).

  17. (((*%&^ says – reply to this

    417

    no not at all

  18. e says – reply to this

    418

oh please, there are bigger fish to fry. stop picking on a toddler. If it makes her happy, what's the problem? and if it doesn't happen too much, it won't mess up her teeth. I used a bottle for comfort until I was 7 and didn't even need braces. You guys need to find something bigger to worry about, like, say, oh i don't know, a cyclone that just killed several thousand people in Myanmar?

  19. Kitten says – reply to this

    419

it is that weird Scientology drink they force the babies to drink: Barley and water. Not making it up.

  20. Lisa says – reply to this

    420

Give the poor kid a break! She's fine. I'm sure it's comforting when there are thousands of flashbulbs going off in her face!

  21. ashley says – reply to this

    421

I don't really think it's that bad. My niece is two years old as well and still drinks a bottle to fall asleep. It's no Lisa Remini ordeal like eight bottles a night, only one! I think it's up to the parents though and no one should judge.

  22. tiffany says – reply to this

    422

As a mother of a 2 1/2 year old. My daughter stopped using a bottle at 1 years old!!!!!!!! FREAK!!!!

  23. Beth says – reply to this

    423

Yes, she should definitly be done with the bottle. I know its hard to wean babies off one, but the sooner the better. Somebody get that kid a sippy cup!

  24. Shelley says – reply to this

    424

OMG, leave this cute little girl alone!!! It is so pathetic!! Every kid is differant about giving up the bottle, and not everyone does everything by the book, bet your mom did not!!! When I was a baby I gave up the bottle at 3 1/2 and there is nothing wrong with me, I have perfect teeth etc. I did the same with my child and she is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. M from Toronto says – reply to this

    425

Yeah, too old, but to me the main problem is that true believer Scientologists also don't give them formula or milk, (and don't breast feed) they feed them a "barley milk" recipe invented by L Ron which if fed as main food source can cause malnutrition and scurvy.

  26. pereznotatall says – reply to this

    426

Children frankly should be breastfed for 3 years, according to WHO, but obviously this doesn't happen. However, 2 is totally normal to be using a bottle-or a breast.

  27. Ashley says – reply to this

    427

YES! It's not the kid's choice when to "give up the bottle", it's the parents choice to teach them they are old enough. I am a mother of 3, my youngest is 14 months, she gets a bottle when she wakes up and that's it. The rest of the day it's a sippy cup. And soon, she will be cut off from the bottle as well! It's the parents job to step and and say enough is enough, be a parent!!

  28. me says – reply to this

    428

She should be off the bottle but kids like Suri and Leah Remini's daughter is they use it to sooth themself just like a child that sucks their finger or has a blankie. I went through it with my son so I wouldn't allow him to have it outside of nap/bedtime. After a short time I took the bottle away and stuffed cotton in the nipple leaving the nipple in the cap and just let him have that. Within a month or two he was fine without it.

  29. jenny says – reply to this

    429

absolutly…my child was quit the bottle at 11months per his doctors recommendation and EVERY health book for children. it rots their teeth!

  30. variablemonkey says – reply to this

    430

My daughter was born on the same day as Suri - 4/18/06. She stopped taking a bottle at just over a year old.

  31. Danielle says – reply to this

    431

my son is a little over one and he takes a sippy cup during the day and a bottle at nap time….by age 2 kids shouldnt be on bottles.

  32. JR says – reply to this

    432

Re: elyse – No one said "Is she too old for MILK!" They said too old for a BOTTLE!!!! She can still have her MILK IN A SIPPY CUP!!! My ped told me to take the bottle away at 1 year.

  33. tucsonmom says – reply to this

    433

Yes! It can be hard to ween kids from bottles but it needs to be done. Usually by the time they are 15 months old

  34. christine says – reply to this

    434

sippy cup… but it is hard to get them off of a bottle. 30 years ago it was fine we all had bottles at 2. but now they rip them away at 1 yr old.

i would rather see that bottle then a damn pacifier!!!!!!!!!!

  35. Jennie says – reply to this

    435

Hell yeah 2 is way to old to have a bottle, You are suppose to take the bottle at 12 months. only lazy ass parents let their kids keep sucking on a bottle. It's easier to give in then have to deal with the crying. shame on them!!

  36. sam says – reply to this

    436

first of all..no its not to old to be "sucking on a bottle"… second of all ..why dont u mind your own fucking business…. even if it was to old… why dont u mind your own fucking business… dont u have better things to do than profit off childrens dos or donts… your worse than a child molestor… seriously … get a job ..get a life.. stop sucking on other peoples lives… your a hypocritical loser… no matter how thin u get u will still be fat… because your jaw is bigger than your head… you gross disgusting pig… :) ..have a nice day

  37. Lynne says – reply to this

    437

EVERYONE SHOULD FUCKING MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS….My God.

  38. jack says – reply to this

    438

    no its not okay!
i run my own daycare in sd.
and a toddler shouldnt be drinking outta a bottle after age one.
she should be drinking outta a sippy cup. and switched to whole milk by now!
    =]

  39. uhhh..... says – reply to this

    439

    Actually,No It's not.

  40. Stephanie says – reply to this

    440

God knows,I have been waiting for someone to say that. Its not only bad for her teeth but just plain gross.I know they can afford a few sippy cups for this kid.

  41. Michelle says – reply to this

    441

Every child is different. I don't understand why people make such a big deal about it, a year is too young for a child to have to give up a bottle. It's a comfort thing for babies, no one would take a blanket from a baby just because they hit a year. It's milk, at least they are drinking it and getting the necessary nutrients.

  42. Kerry says – reply to this

    442

Children can breastfeed until they are 5 years old. Why not a bottle until 3?

  43. Carrie says – reply to this

    443

Babies should be off the bottle by about a year old, otherwise it's bad for their teeth. And it will be much harder to take it away once they are toddlers and MUCH stronger willed.

  44. Read Pediatrics Book says – reply to this

    444

Stupid Moron go read some pediatrics Book.
    Fat Pig

  45. you guys are all fuck says – reply to this

    445

HELLO. I BLEIEVE THAT HE IS CARRYING HER SO IT IS PROBAB;Y WISER TO HAVE A BOTTLE RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE A CUP WOULD MOST LIKELY SPILL.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST YOU PEOPLE READ SO FAR INTO THIS SHIT.

  46. Liz says – reply to this

    446

Way way too old. She's probably got a mouthful of cavities.

  47. me says – reply to this

    447

Sugar in milk will rot her teeth. She's clearly using it as a pacifier and filling her gut with milk instead of a variety of nutrition is not healthy. It explains why she's pale.

  48. km says – reply to this

    448

Yes, way too old. It causes speech, teeth and ear problems. That stupid ass Leah Remini scientoligist has a 4 YEAR OLD with the bottle who screams all of the time and sleeps in bed with them. Scientoligists spoil their kids and let them run the home.

  49. CorbynsMommy says – reply to this

    449

WAAAAAAYYYYYYY too old! Once they can have milk instead of formula or breast milk they need to ATLEAST be on a sippy cup. Bottles are sooo bad for toddlers!

  50. Candy says – reply to this

    450

Is your life not that complete that you have to pick on a baby evey chance you get Perez? You obviously know nothing about child rearing because the little girl just turned 2. There is nothing wrong with her sipping on her bottle. I'm sure others have stated this. Leave her alone. You may think that all people want to do is pick on this family 24/7 but you're wrong.

  51. carrie says – reply to this

    451

my son used a bottle until he was 2.5 but I got hell from all sorts of people. My pediatrician said it's fine until the babies are around 2.

  52. Kaye says – reply to this

    452

Yes… she should be drinking out of a sippy cup by now. I bet they still have her on some sort of formula too! Wack jobs!

  53. niksmom says – reply to this

    453

my son is 15 months and off the bottle but its different with every child. The bottle is a source of comfort and lets be honest here….this child may need all the comfort she can get based on the wacko views we've been reading about since she was born.

  54. Cassie says – reply to this

    454

If she was still breast feeding nobody would care, but because it's a bottle it's different? PLEASE!!!

  55. Kristine says – reply to this

    455

It isn't too old. Lots of kids that age drink out of a cup most of the time and then drink out of a bottle before bed time or at some other regular time of day for comfort… like a blankie. You are way too hard on the Cruises. Suri is still considered a toddler. It's not like she's still sucking on mom's boob or something…. it's a BOTTLE.

  56. becca says – reply to this

    456

yes doctors request they stop using bottles by their second birthday.

  57. PS says – reply to this

    457

I would LOVE to talk to Leah, give me 30 minutes with her and her daughter will be in her own bed without the bottle.

  58. jojo says – reply to this

    458

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SO FUCK OFF AND LEAVE THEM ALONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  59. ~M says – reply to this

    459

So now Perez is an expert on children? Ha!

  60. Ernest says – reply to this

    460

Oh Perez Perez….stop digging for artificial fights. Two years old is NOT too old to be on a bottle. You're 30 and still sucking the boobs of every floppy titted Hollywood hag out there. Aren't YOU a little old for that? Dina Lohan sucks less…..okay well maybe not her, but you get the idea.

  61. not a big deal... says – reply to this

    461

    Perez,
if Katy were breastfeeding, she could keep doing so well in to when the baby was 3 years old and it would be fine and normal. If the little girl wants to drink out of a bottle, let her. stop messing with innocent children. JErk.

  62. your mama says – reply to this

    462

My child was 11 months old when he gave up the bottle. He is 2 now and drinks out of a grown-up cup!

Good thing her daddy is rich, cause he'll have to pay to fix her teeth.

  63. Mommyof3 says – reply to this

    463

No!!!! Kids at that age typically have comfort objects (pacifier, bottle, teddy, blanky). It just looks like Suri's is a bottle. Each of my kids had a different one and my 2nd's was a bottle. They outgrow it eventually, but it is no biggy unless the parents give them milk or juice at night in bed (which I am sure they don't). If you aren't a parent please don't make judgment calls on parents, you typically have no idea what you are talking about and end up looking stupid.

  64. kimmy says – reply to this

    464

What's the big deal. She is only two there is no harm at all. She will give it up when she's ready. Maybe she does use a sippy cup at home. It's nobody's business anyway she is their daughter not all of Americas it's their business. I'm sure you all can find something bigger than this to bitch about leave the child alone. You are all so perfect as parents or think you will be. Whatever

  65. jen says – reply to this

    465

Yes! My pediatrician recommended the transition from bottle to sippy cup to begin at 9 months, even while still nursing. It was a checklist question by my daughter's 18 month appointment.

  66. KD says – reply to this

    466

No bottles after 18 months. Starts to ruin their teeth. Time to take it away!

  67. Clarissa says – reply to this

    467

Too funny…no matter what he does people find something to make fun of about it!! If it were anyone else no one would really care! Take the "tea party room" for instance. If that was at Gwenyth Paltrow's house, no one would've really cared. But, since it was "crazy Tom Cruise" it's media fodder!! I think he's a little off, but I'm starting to feel sorry for the guy. He just can't win!

  68. datesun says – reply to this

    468

Actually Perrrezzz, 2 years old isn't too old to have a bottle. Maybe if you can have a kid, you'd know that fact. STUPID idiot! Pickin on babies. You're a fool!

  69. anti-l.ron says – reply to this

    469

by 1 year a child should be on a sippy cup. those scientologists just hate to follow dr's orders. did anyone watch rachel ray a few weeks ago with lea remini… her daughter is 3 1/2 and still has bottles thru the night!! OMG!!! Do celebs ever say no to thier kids?????

  70. Shell says – reply to this

    470

NO it's fine!! Leave her alone! She's a beautiful little girl.

  71. Chari says – reply to this

    471

Two is way TOO old for a bottle. You stop at 1 year old with the bottles. I've also seen SOOOOO many celebrity's kids with Pacifiers still in their mouthes at like 4 years old!! UGH, give it up!

  72. Jessica says – reply to this

    472

Stupid ass people!! It must be some Hollwood thing to keep your child on the bottle forever. I guess if her teeth rot out they can afford some fake ones.

  73. Come Mierda says – reply to this

    473

Yes, she is definitely too old. I'm proud of you Perez, that you noticed it's wrong - because, as you know, most Cubans still have their kids sucking on bottles when they are 7. Ridiculous, go any where in Miami and you'll see it.

  74. iiryna says – reply to this

    474

    definetly not too old

  75. Tree says – reply to this

    475

Perez is an expert of babies now? Hmm.

  76. mjn says – reply to this

    476

Re: KS – Is your kid a calf? Otherwise, I can't understand why any reputable docter would advise you to feed your child milk from a hooved animal, anyone who advises milk other than the breast of a mother is sick? Seriously, when did it become ok to feed our children "milk" from cloven hooved-cud-eating-future-hamburger type beings? We shouldn't drink from them or eat from them…seriously…all you enlightened youngun's…why would it be natural for a baby to drink cow's milk as opposed to a human Mom's teet?? I just don't get it, and I never will~! Feed back please!

  77. Emily says – reply to this

    477

Yes! Doctors say that by one year of age they should be off! Move on to the sippy cups Suri!

  78. kate says – reply to this

    478

    no!

  79. Momma says – reply to this

    479

Every kid is different - I had one us a bottle until 2 and a half and and another toss it on his first birthday. It's easy for a bunch of childless people sitting at their computer to judge, but bottles are a hard one to get past. I am hardly a Tom Cruise fan, but if you want to be critical of his parenting, you are going to have find something more than this. How about questioning how healthy it is for his child to parade her in front of cameras the way he does?

  80. Chrissy says – reply to this

    480

Well, I'm not a wacko Scientologist, and my almost 3 year old son still has a bottle at night before bed. That's the problem with this world today, everyone is rushing their children to grow up. They are still babies for God's sake. A Bottle, if not sent to bed with a child is nothing more than a DRINKING APARATUS. Take a chill pill.

  81. BearRDH says – reply to this

    481

YES!!! I'm a dental hygienist and not only is it too old, but it can affect the development of the jaw/teeth! BRACES!!

  82. amysha says – reply to this

    482

ok, i hate tom cruise..but i have nothing against suri, that child is just da victim of her knuckle head parents..2 yrs old is not too old to suck from da bottle..clearly u dont know much perez since u dont have kids!!i dont either..haha..but i have 2 lil bros and our age gap is far so i saw them growing up in fact da youngest is 3 and still having bottles!!it depends on the child and the parent..some start off da bottle young some till abt 3+ till 4..so 2 its definately NOT too old..do ur homework perez!!!

  83. scan2 says – reply to this

    483

    lay off the kids…

  84. jess says – reply to this

  85. meg says – reply to this

    485

GET OVER IT!!!! I SEE KIDS WITH PACIFIERS UNTIL THEY ARE 5! There are children out there getting beaten. Kids out there going hungry. There are kids out there locked in bathrooms while their parents do drugs. WORRY ABOUT THEM!!!

  86. AnguillaGyal says – reply to this

    486

It's not too old Perez. I'm sure she also uses cups, but do you think that situation warrants a cup or a bottle. Come on. I have a two year old neice and she drinks a bottle in the morning when she wakes and at night before bed. During the daytime she drinks from cups.

  87. gigi says – reply to this

    487

No, 2 is NOT still "bottle time." By that age, most toddlers have all their baby teeth in, and sucking on a bottle can shape their palate and also give them crooked or "buck" teeth. She may need braces and other dental work some day all because her parents were too lazy or careless to take away her bottle at a reasonable age. Giving in to your child on a lot of things if fine, but not letting them hold on to the bottle.

  88. kam says – reply to this

no she just turned 2 less then a month ago

it's their perogative…some women still breast feed at two years old…personally i think that's disgusting but everyone raises their kids differently

  92. Tina says – reply to this

    492

My daughter had her bottle until she was 3 and my son still has his and he will be 3 in a month. As long as they do not sleep with it in their mouths, I don't see a problem. My daughter is now 5 and she has not suffered any ill effects from having it until she was 3.

  93. ey says – reply to this

    493

babies should be weaned off the bottle by 12 months. they should be on sippy cups. some parents like to use bottles just at night, when the baby is fussy, but even this should be gradually reduced by 15-18 months. bottom line, that dude and his robot "wife" are messed up

  94. megan says – reply to this

    494

well have u ever tried to bring a 2 year old somewhere?? let alone out in public for something big??? well anything that makes them happy is the way to go!!! she might like a bottle some kids love pacifiers if she had one of them u wouldnt comment…. im sure it was a convient thing thats it!!! god find someone who can defend their actions to make fun of… not a 2 year old?!

  95. jennifer says – reply to this

    495

well I think its pretty normal, and I asked my mom and she said that i stopped before two but drinking out of a bottle at two is completely normal

  96. Janell says – reply to this

    496

yes, my baby stopped just after she turned one

  97. lauren says – reply to this

    497

Yes, most kids come off by 1, 1 and a half… maybe a bottle at night would be ok, but not during the day!!! It's Leah Remini-style parenting!

Its an individual thing, my kids didnt give up their bottle till after they were 3, it didnt hurt them in any way shape and form, other kids give them up a lot earlier, there is no right or wrong and this is not one of those things we can sit in judgement of Tom Cruise or for that matter Suri!
