Cannon co-stars in the video with Carey as, you guessed it, her romantic interest.
And, it's fascinating watching it and knowing that those sun-filled days in the Caribbean was the beginning of their fast and full-throttle relationship, which resulted in a surprise wedding last week - after little more than a month of dating.
Watching this video now has much more subtext to it!

I think I recognized Alfred Roy Carey, Tonjua Twist (I probably spelled that wrong), Mariah's grandfather, some of her pets, Luther Vandross and Luciano Pavorrotti. And her grandmother. And ODB. Who were those other people? Also, I apparently missed the memo that Nick Cannon was hot. So, if they really are married, I can't be mad at that. He could pick me up and spin me around. However, if I didn't care about Mariah Carey and just watched that video out of nowhere, I wouldn't understand why the heck he was even in the video. Maybe that had to be planned for secret messages. I can't see Nick originally scripted for the video with no plot, so maybe - if they are married - he was just along to share a little part of herself with the world.
Moo riah knew that Madonna's album was coming out this week and was willing to do anything to keep herself in the papers. The wedding is a sham, the fact they they didn't even spring for a real wedding and that he gave her some left over wedding ring from some other hoochie proves it. I'd rather cut off my left hand than say anything bad about another person, but Miariah is just a bitter whoe who cannot accept that Madonna blows her fat ass out of the water. So she'll resort to marrying some two bite lose to keep herself in the press. I wish them all the best just the same, because that's just the kind of person I am. Love Marianne Chitter Chatter.

I love Mariah but I don't like the video. It should have shown a storyline that reflected the loss of a parent which is what the song is about. But many videos are doing the same thing of having nothing to do with the song or no storyline.
awwwww, thi s song is about missing loved ones who have passed on….I'm glad Mariah managed to work in shots of her in her bikini for this video…it really goes well with the song….I know I always grieve in my bikini while posing for photographs.

And in the video appear Nick (or did she kill him down in the bahamas?), appear "DaBrat" when saying "spend the holidays together" and that's supposed to be to her dad and she never spend one holiday with him, why did she show DaBrat in that part instead of her mother? why she showed his nephew Shawn son to her sister Alison instead of her mother? because his nephew is also almost black. The end of the video brought tears to my eyes. This is such a beautiful song. I don't think Nick and Mariah have been dating for as short of a time as we have been led to believe. I think there's been something going on for a while. I also don't think that any of the footage with him was "acted".

I usually read comments never post, but as a Mariah Carey fan from Vision of Love I couldn't refuse. I'm not quite sure what to say about their marriage. If they like it I love it. I know he's estatic, he married Mariah Carey! I'm sure the go back. He had just started learned to jack off when Vision of Love came out! In every picture he's all smiles. And after the breakdown everyone's looked at Mariah as weak with mental issues who's old ass dresses like Christina Milian should. So she's probably just as estatic that she think she still got it. Which she does. She's looking good as f@#*. But who wouldn't when you was getting the pipe laid on you from a young tall black man? And as a black woman same age as Nick who also grew up watching her evolve, since when did she start wearing braids? Glad to see him get her in touch with her black side. Can she still have babies?
