Her Madgesty held another showcase gig in Paris on Tuesday night and got a little sticky and sweet with one of the female backup dancers.
M must have been in a festive mood. She has plenty of reason to celebrate! Her new album, Hard Candy, has debuted #1 on the U.S. album charts, selling 282,000 copies its debut week.

Congrats to Mrs. Ritchie on her 7th #1 album. All things considering, that isnt too shabby of a debut. I know there are other die hard fans who didn't buy the album because they feel Madonna "sold-out"! WELL THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES! This is a solid album with that classic Madonna feel…even more so than Confessions & I love that album….4 mins doesn't speak for the album…..it was a deceiving first single…but an awesome song.
I cannot wait to see how much she sold worldwide when the figures are released……Mariah will probably file for divorce….especially when she sees all the countries Madonna came in #1.

While I wouldn't have called Blackout a Bomb in it's debut week, Britney holds the record for the biggest opening week for a female artist with over 1 million (a record i don't think will ever be broken) and considering she is only 10 yrs into her Pop career that isn't good.
Madonna best debut was Music with over 400,000 copies sold & her worst was A.Life with 250,000 (?) so these numbers are in her range.
This is why I think he called Blackout a bomb & H.Candy wasn't too shabby.
