Am I over American Idol? Yes. Since season 1.
Nope, not over it, just didn't agree with the top 5 so the talent isn't as good as it could have been. It seemed like it was going to be a great season based on the top 10, but since Chickeze, Carley Smithson and Michael Johns were voted off, it hasn't been as good. And, I wish they'd get rid of the stupid mentor weeks. Go David Cook!!!

it's getting reeeeeally old.
the only part i ever watch is the auditions, because you ask yourself, "why did this persons family let him audition?!" and some of the albiet horrible people are entertaining.
the only people that watch american idol are the ones channel surfing with nothing to watch. or, those that enjoy corporate sponsorship being shoved down their naive throats.

American Idol will never get old, especially because everyone on that show has talented and there is still many loyal fans

I start being "over it" with last night's show. That praise of David A. was just shameless and totally undeserved. We know its fixed, but at least be subtle about it!!!!!!!!!!

Completely over it…first 2 seasons, maybe half of the 3rd..after that I just stopped caring, it's the same damn thing over and over and over and it's so fucking long and I do record it, but 99% of the time erase without even glimpsing at it. I'm sick of AI….it's only fun in the first part because you can make fun of people but after that…it's snooze ville…i'd much prefer a good sitcome,l ike House or Supernatural or something like that….

I love American Idol. Though I agree that sometimes the contestants suck and the wrong people are voted off; news flash, the show's not rigged, it's the public who vote, therefore if all the talent is being voted off we have nobody to blame but ourselves. What ever, it's something to do on a Tuesday night at 8.
P.S. I believe if they got rid of Paula the show could be taken more seriously.

i've watched a couple seasons of it, but this year i usually just watch the performances i want on youtube or go to rickey.org. theres no point in wasting 1-2 hours of my life watching a bunch of boring performances. especially the shitty theme weeks they have chosen…it's funny, every season they start out saying THIS IS THE BEST TALENT WE HAVE EVER HAD…and then when they see the season ends up sucking with ratings and ppl are shit-talking the contestants, Simon's all like "OHH THIS SEASON LACKS TALENT, PERSONALITY BLAH BLAH BLAH"…let's be real here - AI has lost it's charm fo real.

A series of civil disobedience actions are planned throughout the city Wednesday in response to the acquittals of three New York City undercover detectives in the killing of an unarmed groom on his wedding day.

Simultaneous protests are planned for 3 p.m. in six key transit areas in the city – five in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn. Large crowds are expected for the acts of civil disobedience, which could see hundreds of people clogging each designated protest spot. The protests are expected to continue through the evening rush hour.

I have watched 2 episodes since A. I. debuted and both of them were the last 2 episodes of Season 1. I have hated this show every since and wonder why some many people still watch…..

They are already so dead. I have been wanting to escort them to hades, but am currently occupied with the Hillary Clinton campaign. She refuses to face the fact that she is so dead already! Anyone else notice the striking similarity between her and the Bride of Chucky? Animated, Fake, and yet so dead! Too funny to watch Bill in the background going over in his head a list of possible scores for later in the evening. Bored, bored, bored. Didn't even pretend to be listening to her speech last night. Note to campaign: Must keep Bill off camera.
I have watched from day 1. I still watch because there is basically nothing else on. S3 was the weakest season, until these past two. Sanjaya was the only thing that saved S6. This season, the genre's have been terrible. Must they pick one artist every week to sing? The personalities are also boring. Only Jason and looney Brooke were somewhat interesting. The audience irritates me also; the booing, yelling, hands swaying in the air during performances. It's all so rehearsed. I am sick of Randy and Paula, even Simon. I think the show is rigged, last night proved it again with the overkill critique of Jason. David A. sucked last week and the judges raved. He has a decent voice, but no charisma. Just like the show these days.
not quite over idol concept itself, but they need to step up the pool of talent. this is the worst season ever, could barely watch. there are so many amazing talented singers out there, this is the best they could come up with?

Big time! I stopped watching it. The contestants are boring (David Archuleta) or vapid (the dreadlocked guy). It's obvious the judges are biased and praise the same one's over and over. I'm glad Paula spilled the beans, maybe this hsow will go away now.
yes. Last year was it for me. I haven't watched the new season at all. If there is anything interesting, I'll catch it on The Soup.
After the first season, I was done. Many of this wannabees don't have that "it" factor nor staying power in the music industry. What's truly missing is artist development and you can't do that on TV. With females and males, once a camera is in front of them, they loose their minds.
i watch A I pretty much because there was nothing on TV for a long time because of the writers strike. Now I just want to know who wins. Im rooting for David Cook. He really is the only one with talent on there. It's not a bad show. Obviously people are still watching it. Until they come out with something better (not dancing with the stars) I will probably keep watching it.

I was into it previous seasons but I am OVER it for this one. It doesn't have that special appeal anymore, it is just a big impersonal machine at this point. Don't really care who wins because they seem to fade into obscurity after they do, with the exception of Carrie Underwood. It comes off as the singers just want to win the show not be a singer. Or the corporate stuff gets in the way and won't let them be an artist…not sure which.

I live in Denmark (Europe) and the show is also on overhere, but no one watches it. We all just thinks, that it's really lame. Only 12-year-old girls watches it here in Denmark..
The judges are so biased towards David A. it's not even funny - can't stand him - if i heard him on the radio i would change the channel - is this the best america can come up with? Why did they keep saying this would be the best season ever? Why is there no option to vote off paula?

I was over Idol after the first episode. That snotty Simon Cowel is no Ed McMahon. Aside from that rude asshole, Idol was little different than that lame Star Search show that my Grandma used to watch. I never understood the appeal. I guess American taste has just gone into the gutter in the last 20 years. They keep producing this crap TV because you people keep watching it, leaving nothing left to watch for people like me, who want an actual show with cleverly written dialogue and decent acting.
Too many professional singers this year. They need the old underdogs like Clay Aiken, Fantasia, and Eliot Yamin to make it interesting. When Opera Girl, Rachel Zevita, didn't make it through the first rounds last season, it was like Idol had decided to stick with the predictable and boring contestants, so that Simon Cowell could complain how predictabel and boring they were.

I'm so over it…I use to love Simon, but his comments are just brutal (he use to offer constructive criticism) but now he's just plan obnoxious. Randy is illiterate and stupid…how can he judge a music contest when he can't even speak English. His vocab has 10 words. Paula is just Paula. This years contestants have been as different as day & night, some good and some really good. The judges are pushing the youngest one whom has a nice voice and sings well but he's totally boring…I'd change my radio station if he came on and sang one of his ballads after ballads, week after week. David A. is a cute little zombie - a "stepford singer" if you will. He's like a 17 year old Perry Como. Somebody take that boy out - get him laid, crank back a bottle of Jack Daniels down his throat, push him off a cliff and let him hang glide, make him watch some porn, cut the line to his brakes and tell him to maneuver down a steep mountain AND THEN INVITE HIM BACK TO SING. Perhaps then, the depth will kick in. I AM soooo over it!

Yes, idol is lame. But so is most of what is on television. There is nothing really ground breaking except "Intervention" and that show is so sad. It looks like the "reality" trend is entertainment is declining. Hopefully it will be replaced with something worth watching.

They took a perfectly cheesy talent show and tried to make it into something noble. It doesn't help that a lot of this year's bunch already have cd's that are waiting to be released.
