hell yeah… i hate that show now.. stopped watching it this season!
NEVER LIKED AMERICAN IDOL. I watch tv to escape reality; not watch reality.
i ALWAYS hated it! sucks asss, but the auditions are hilarious

i love idol.
actually, for the last few weeks (since MJ and Carly got the boot) i love DAVID COOK
the fanbases are still ridiculously strong. theres a huge audience. if people spent as much time focusing on the actual (although yes, more limited this season) talent than they do on how rating have dropped, we'd have great new artists this year.

I still enjoy the show. It is still entertaining at the end of a long work day and I see no reason to cancel the show. They can change it up some from season to season but I still think it is a fun show and I am not sorry one iota.

if they were able to pick contemporary songs instead of songs from 60's, 70's, etc, maybe it would be good. i'm 19 and dont know half the songs they sing so it makes it boring. plus there was no one that stood out this year.

Hope David A. wins. He's got the most potential to become famous. David Cook's voice is too affected and he sounds too much like "Daughtry" Ryan needs to return to his more relaxed look he had when the show started. He's too corporate looking. Bring back Clay and Melinda Doolittle. They could sing!

How can anybody be over IDOL considering the immense talent that has been brought forward as a result of that show.

People will keep watching because eventually this show brings forward shining stars. In an industry where talented people work years and don't make it…this show has been inspirational. Some people who require instant gratification may tune out…..that is their problem….go buy another Britney, Madonna album.

The contestants are lame this year. David Cook is the only one with a little bit of personality and he is still boring. They need to call it quits are revamp the entire show. For starts they can stop those stupid corny ass commercials in the middle of the show. If I wanted to watch commercials I would throw away my TiVo.

I've always been a huuuuuge American Idol fan, and I'm soooo over it. I'm tired of certain people being overpimped and shoved down my throat just to fit the powers that be's agenda. This season doesn't even fly by me…yuck. Danny Noriega should still be there!!
It's really become a big joke and a money machine. But I'm mainly over smug Ryan Seacrest… When will you finally come out??? Stop pretending that you fancy girls!!!! It's all a big scam!

After this season–YES! This season was awful. I HATE the group sings with Brady Bunch choreography, but more than that I hate forcing all of the singers (regardless of style or personal choice) to sing songs by the same artist. Neil Diamond?? Dolly Parton?? How the hell do they expect to keep young and hip viewers with songs from these folks?? And forcing a rocker to sing country, or a folk singer to sing Broadway, is just ridiculous. When they go out to start their careers, their albums do not have one song from each genre. Let each singer perform songs THEY like and let us judge who WE like. And I think it's a joke that they always tell people "No one can sing a Whitney song like Whitney, no one can sing a Mariah song like Mariah…" so what do they do–make them ALL sing Mariah songs??? WTF??? And then they criticize Syesha for being "too Broadway," but then they bring in Andrew Lloyd Weber! Again, WTF??? Have I been drinking Paula's punch without knowing it, b/c nothing makes sense to me any more.
I am so disappointed by this season…I am probably done.
I LOVE IT & DON'T MISS AN EPISODE! I stopped watching it around the 3rd season & started watching it again this season so maybe that is why i'm not over it.
Its my favorite show I love it ,,it always will be my favorite show I watch it with my family and never get enough ,, if it went off the air tv wont be the same for me…
I thought I was over it..and I told myself that it was just gonna be stupid, and that like none of the people that win actually become really famous and what not. But then I saw Jason Castro and David Cook..and those are the kinds of artists that that show needs!!!..hopefully one of them will win, and American Idol can break the curse of crappy lowlife winners.
