Ratings for Hannah Montana are down, and Disney must not be happy that their cash cow is suffering.
But, according to reports, Hannah Montana was on the decline even BEFORE the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair "scandal" rocked our worlds.
The audience for Sunday's new Hannah Montana episode fell 14% from the previous fresh episode, which aired just under two months earlier, say the ratings gurus the Nielsen Company.
Compared to the first original show of the year, which aired in January, viewership for Sunday's show was down 26%.
Don't blame Vanity Fair.
Just blame Miley!

I asked my granddaughters, ages 8 and 10, if they watch Hannah Montana. They said "no, because she is mean." They never have been fans of hers.
Perez needs a new Britney…i love your site but honestly get over miley..the pictures she took were not even provocative all you saw was her upper back for god's sake!! it has nothing to do with miley. it has to do with the fact that there have been only 2 or 3 new hannah montana episodes in a LONG time, compared to the one new one a week they had been showing previously. Hannah Montana has def. over-saturated the market but it's far from gone. I predict the movie to be huge and have another hit album then hannah and miley will go separate ways….or i suppose in that case hannah will cease to exsist and disney will get rid of miley, she will become the new britney and make a TON of money, then retire at 18. good stuff.
I think Miley used to come off all sweet and nice but the more people see of her, the more people dislike her because she just seems so damn stuck up. She does not seem 15 at all. I think this is directy correlated with the photo scandals. Yes, plural. We would do well to remember that there were questionable photos of her BEFORE the Vanity Fair ordeal. I emphasize "questionable" because the nature of them is uncertain, but for some parents the uncertainty itself does not set well. Mnay people will look for warning signs and do their very best to protect their child from idolizing anyone that may show signs of instability. With Britney and so many othe rchild stars eventually exhibitingunstable patterns of behavior, people are more sensitive to the slightest change in image. In other words, Miley cannot afford these mistakes becasue people are already weary based upon her youthful celebrity status alone. I( think most of us are atleast aware that this lifestyle herself and her fmaily had chosen for her is most difficult for even seasoned adults, much less horomone ridden teenagers.
Many people just don't trust her anymore, but were already looking for a reason not to once she hit puberty.
What a little whore…..next Vanity Fair shoot will be of her naked and preggers…I give it a year.

okay, i've trashed miley on here as much as anyone, but everyone's freaked out that she's changing and i'm not quite sure why. as was astutely pointed out in a news magazine last week, that's what teens do: they change. in body, in mind, hormones, priorities, they get boners and periods, they stop clinging to parents and toys. yes, she tarted it up for the photos, but she and her family are wisely trying to manage her transition to adulthood, unlike psycho hosebag britney and her "family". i wish miley well, even though i'll keep making fun of her on here.

I'm not sure about the full story, but I think that just because one episode suffered a bit, doesn't mean they all will. Personally, I was gonna see it, I simply forgot it was on.
