Yes, it really is that bad!
The reviews are in and critics are shredding the new Speed Racer film to pieces.
USA Today gave it a whopping 1 and 1/2 stars.
And, the Associated Press is saying, "In adapting the 1960s Japanese anime television series, writer-directors Larry and Andy Wachowski have created a noisy, overlong, mind-numbing extravaganza that seems tailor-made for nobody but themselves and their twisted sensibilities. At two hours and 15 minutes, it's way too long for little kids, the only ones for whom this explosion at a crayon factory would seem even vaguely entertaining. Adults seeking the nostalgia of their own childhood will just be disappointed, because Speed Racer the movie bears little resemblance to Speed Racer the TV cartoon."

At least the new Batman movie seems promising!
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy or Andy Milonakis should have been cast as Spritle. Bubbles the Chimp should have been rescued from Neverland for the Chim Chim role. I should be a casting agent. Most of 'em around Hollywood suck ass.

i just saw this movie and its FUCKING AMAZING. emile hirsch is not only as hot as hell but hes talented. SO SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS PEREZ.

This movie is great. Its just not for US audiences. At least not sober ones. Its more like a psychedellic Bollywood spectular….or something…. It won't bomb overseas, anyway. The colors will make you go blind!!!

strong cast, i mean christina, emile, susan, john… STRONG cast. great film. and the costumes/sets are worth the ticket price alone.
It don't have actual Japenese peaple or characters that resemble the Anime. This movie would probably make me hate the series.

OMG!!! Just went to see it like 2 hours ago. It was AWESOME!!! Don't believe the crap critics are saying. The movie was really good!!!
No way. This movie gets two thumbs up from me. The same guys who wrote the Matrix wrote this script. It takes an open mind to watch it and it's not for everyone. You either love it or hate it. We loved it. At first it seems like a stupid kid flick but then takes a turn and rolls.
By the way, my 9 yr. old son hung on easily the 2 hrs. plus and was screaming his head off with joy at this flick. The AP is clueless and should stick to commenting on films they comprehend.
IT was so good! dont listen to the critics they are not always right. EEveryone likes different things, but SPeed racer is a GREAT movie! try it for yourselves.
You guys are deusches, this is a kick ass movie and it's sad to see that the media has biasly shaped the opinions of all these ignorant people who are ready to be told what to do.
