These Duggars have some weird show on TV about how they live, built their own house, and how the older kids have to take care of their smaller siblings….in a way it seems wholesome and in a way it is the creepiest thing I have ever seen.
The one thing they downplay is they are part of some intense Born Again Religion……..you know there is some crazy Evangelical thing going on there.
I saw them announce on TV this morning they are going for number 18….it made me a little sick. I feel sorry for all those kids…no time and attention from the parents, the older ones having no childhood, being home schooled so no social life…..really confining and sad. I would run away as fast as my feet would take me. Yuck.

Why the negativity? The parents are both educated. He's a former state legistlator for crying out loud. They are real estate agents, are not dirt-poor, and love their kids. I think that all the negative comments need to be at the Britneys of the world - the people who give up their kids b/c they'd rather be doing drugs or whatever. These people love their children and provide for them. What's the problem? Who's to say it's too many?
I like to fancy myself somewhat feminist and definitley liberal–this is the most misogynistic crap I've seen in awhile. The woman feels called to have children, she and her children seem happy, they have the means to care for the children so lay off. If you look at traditional Catholic, Muslim, Mennonite, and Amish families, they are all *big*. Some people consider more children a joy.
What I find particularly offensive is that many sites are quick to screech "She has a mullet!" as if this is a crime against humanity, when honestly it's more sexist crap, judging women by their appearances. Not that this site would ever be guilty of that, would it?

I watched an episode where "Mom" annouced on the intercom that she was sending kid # 7,6,9,11 (she didn't know) up for a nap. The mom wanted the "buddy" to put the kid down for a nap. Hello, if you are going to have 18 kids, then you (Mom) take care of 18 kids. Mr and Mrs Duggar decided to have this lifestyle. It's not the responsiblity of their kids to maintain their choices. I hope the older kids run away and establish unique, individual lives.

Oh my gosh…this is disgusting. I saw an interview on them once, and the oldest son said that they couldn't be the family they are without their mom. All the kids were praising the mom, and ignoring the dad. The dad got all offended and then stuck up for himself by saying.."Well, I'm at work. I work." So, he works a lot, and then comes home from work and screws his wife and gets her pregnant again….and then repeats the process. Sounds like a wonderful husband to me! KIDDING!!! That's so messed up on the dad's part. Raise your fucking kids asshole! Or use a fucking condom! Stop using your wife for pleasure and leaving her with all of the kids. WOW #18 on the way. I have two so far and they wear me out. The kids actually have to make an "appointment" with their mom on a handwritten schedule to spend one on one time with them. I know my two daughters little traits, mannerisms, just everything about them. It's sad to me because with that many kids how can she possibly know EACH one of her kids inside and out. The older kids should NOT have to take care of the younger kids….mom's supposed to do that. And she's getting older..41…so the risks go way up. She's a fertile myrtle…she should bottle up all that baby dust…she'd make a forune. I wonder how many she'll end up with before she stops?? Hope her uterus doesn't fall out. I've watched the show, too, and there is something majorly wrong with both parents. I guess he gets some kind of power trip out of it. He has all these kids that he can "mold" to believe the same thing that he believes. She seems to be a wimp who just believes whatever her husband tells her and "submits" to whatever he wants. It is wrong for the older kids to have to spend all their lives taking care of babies just because he is on a power trip. I've watched their documentary. It's heartwarming yet disturbing at the same time. I get the part about the loving family…too bad all families are not that way. But it's also very disturbing.
