Donnie Darko 2: Blasphemous!!!

A sequel to cult film classic Donnie Darko is in the works.
Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!
The title of the sequel is S. Darko and it starts shooting on May 18th.
Daviegh Chase will reprise her role as Donnie's younger sister. The cast for S. Darko also includes Ed Westwick (Gossip Girls' Chuck Bass!), Briana Evigan (Step Up 2) and Justin Chatwin (Dragon Ball).
The story picks up seven years after the first film (and Donnie's death) when little sister Samantha Darko and her best friend Corey are now 18 and on a roadtrip to Los Angeles when they are plagued by bizarre visions.
There's no Donnie at all in the new film (sorry Jake Gyllenhaal fans), but there will be meteorites and rabbits.
We really wish they would've left Darko alone.

I am one of the biggest fans of Donnie Darko and the only way it will be any good is if Richard Kelly wrote and directed it, but alas, he isn't. So it will be terrible.

noooo. i saw this movie a month ago it a pretty twisted movie but i liked it. i dont think that making a sequel is a smart idea. why cant people leave the good movies alone. im sry but i dont think the second movie its going to be any good. although the actors are good but yeah making a sequel is just going to kill it.

I LOVED the first one but I could go either way on the sequel. I guess I will have to see it to decide. Only problem is most sequels suck and usually you can't create the SAME feeling and hit as the first. We'll See!

the first movie is GREAT. no, it's actually better than that. it's fucking awesome and totally mind-bending. the end of the first movie is the end of donnie's story. there should absolutely be no sequel. but i will, of course, go see it when it comes out.
