    107

From the start I thought this case was going to be handled like any other celebrity case. But you got to handed it to Nick he stood up and took his punishment. He admitted to making a mistake.

this is what happens when you give a 16 year old boy a fast car to drive i hold his parents partially responsible and I hope they have to pay that family lots of dough

  11. Hey now, I'm 1st, I think says – reply to this

    111

oh boy that sucks but it's worse being in a vegetative state so I say he got what he deserves. He's going to hate that since he's such a spoiled whiny kid.

    112

he should have gotten more time!

The passenger was 21..he probably bought the alcohol…and got in the the car with a drunk 17 year old driver..sorry..not the brightest bulb. Not saying Nick's friend deserved what he got, but he should have known better

I think he got off to easy and I am sure the Hogan family will apeal for a lesser sentence.

  22. Kitten says – reply to this

    122

This is so sad. For everyone involved- including Nick. He is a 17 year old that will have to live with what he did. And as he grows older and more mature, I am sure the realization and total understanding of what he did along with the repurcussions i.e. his parents' divorce, the civil trial etc. will be overwhelming.

  23. heather says – reply to this

    123

WELL IT'S LIKE THIS: YOU WANT TO PLAY, YOUR GONNA PAY!
THE SAD THING IS: HE IS SO YOUNG. HIS MOTHER SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ENFORCING HIM TO RACE CARS ON THE STREET LIKE SHE WAS DOING IN A HOMEMADE VIDEO.
    MONKEY SEE: MONKEY DO
HE WILL HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE FOR SERIOUSLY INJURING HIS BEST FRIEND WHO'S LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. AND HIS FAMILY IS NOW DESTOYED FROM WHAT I HAVE READ. THIS IS AN UNFORTUNATE SITUATION ALL AROUND. SAD TO SEE IT HAS TO COME TO THIS

  24. chuck chillout says – reply to this

    124

i hope hulky can spare some lube for his shit head kid. ha, fucker. i hope your little ass gets torn up you thoughtless bitch.

I am glad he got jail time. I feel bad for both of the families going through this. I hope he finally learns his lesson on speeding.I didn't realize he had that much of a record

  27. WHAT??!! says – reply to this

    127

YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME! THE KID DESTROYS THE LIFE OF HIS FRIEND & HIS FAMILY & HE GETS A SLAP ON THE WRIST?? HOW NICE IT MUST BE TO BE ABOVE THE LAW!! IF IT WERE JOE REGULAR HE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A WAAAY HARSHER & DESERVED SENTENCE. I CALL BULLLSHIT!

  28. maggie says – reply to this

    128

Good I'm glad that he's going to jail… But it's nothing compared to what his friend has to live with for the rest of his life.

  29. Barbie says – reply to this

    129

    damn! did he kill someone?

  30. Hyde says – reply to this

Hopefuly he won't get out early. Hulk should be charged, too.

  31. Ben says – reply to this

    131

First ? :) .. thats not even enough from the judge remember is friend he is now a vegetable because of nick irresponsability 5 year minimum in prison and 10 years without a permit will be good

  32. Princess Cut Diamonds says – reply to this

    132

That doesn't seem like a harsh enough punishment.

  33. Crazy Unicorns says – reply to this

  34. emie says – reply to this

    134

DAMN! I go grab a quick lunch and I miss the sentence being given on the streamming online video. I would have given him even more community service hours and mandatory alcohol rehab, more than just the DUI school.

  35. stefanie says – reply to this

    135

GOOD!!!!!!! he should be jailed longer!

  36. DjOUHER says – reply to this

    136

he's doin the time for the crime… maybe when he comes out he'll be built insteada fat

  37. urdumb says – reply to this

    137

It was an accident. The other guy was no innocent victim. It is horrible what happened to him, but the roles of these two could have easily been reversed. I highly doubt the friend was against his driving, or he wouldn't have been riding with him. The community service with no buy out is the best part.

  38. Jui says – reply to this

    138

did anyone forget that john was not forced into the car and knew the the possible consequences? not saying that is nick is not at fault and doesn't deserve punishment, but he def. didn't intend to hurt anyone especially not his best friend, this proves that accidents can happen to anyone and life should not be taking for granted.

  39. fuck them all says – reply to this

    139

He will be out in 3 to 4 months. THAT GUY WASNT WEARING A SEAT BELT THATS WHY HE IS BRAIN DEAD AND FUCKEM ALL

  40. Jack says – reply to this

    140

he plead "no contest" einstein, not "guilty"

he still faces a civil suit so of course he wouldn't plead guilty.

  41. Naya says – reply to this

    141

That's definitely not enough time for leaving his friend nearly brain-dead. My guess is he probably serve 3 months in jail or less?

  42. hkb says – reply to this

    142

    needs more

  43. caitma says – reply to this

    143

I dont know what's worse, the Hulk's son going to jail, or the fact that he's going to jail for DUI and reckless driving and he's still probably not as big of a douche as his sister….

  44. GOOD! says – reply to this

    144

Good. It's about time celebs were treated like the rest of us:)

  45. * says – reply to this

    145

now this would be a good reality TV show, Nick Hogan while he is in jail being someone's little *itch. But I am sure mommy and daddy will find away for Nick to get out earlier then 8 months.

  46. lynne says – reply to this

    146

At least he's not in a coma in the hospital, like his friend. I hope all of you remember this next time you get into a car drunk. It was a tragedy all around.

  47. Stephanie says – reply to this

    147

I agree with you LF. Do you people think that he really meant to hurt his friend?? I feel bad for him becuase I think that he feels deeply sorry. I think that he got off easy, but at least he didnt say he wasnt guilty. He stood up and is facing his responsibilities now. I feel so bad for his friend and his family. This is all around a sad situation.

  48. &hearts says – reply to this

    148

not sure who this bloke is but why would he be happy with it lol and how can they say he cant drink for five years? thats impossible lol and how would they know if he did

  49. bigdickboy says – reply to this

    149

I saw nick taking off his clothes in the restroom at a gay bar and he has a little bitty cock,,,,the guy that was gonna give him head just got up and left!!!

  50. jen says – reply to this

    150

i agree with LF John is a grown man he could have not gotten into the car. or put his seat belt on. Sentencing def too harsh.

  51. That'sFair says – reply to this

    151

I think that's pretty fair considering he's basically taken an active life of another.

  52. lana says – reply to this

    152

too little time in jail, he got off easy, no wonder he's happy with the results.

  53. kj says – reply to this

    153

Not pointing fingers at Nick or John, but John was in the car at his own free will, knowing Nick had been drinking and had to have know the way he does drive. Nick didn't get up that morning saying "let me get mine friend hurt in an accident." This is why it was an ACCIDENT. I watched this happen among friends I have, and you have to look at the whole big picture. I do believe in the probation, license suspension, and community service..etc, but I think the jail time was a little harsh.

  54. Lil baldy is going to jail says – reply to this

    154

hahhahahahaahahahahah! Whatcha gonna do when bubba comes on to you?!

  55. danny says – reply to this

    155

shouldn't the vegetable guy have to go to jail also?

  56. carrie says – reply to this

    156

no one told him to get in the car with someone drinking and let's remember who the adult was not nick.he deserves to learn his lesson but it can't all come down to nick.

  57. Anna says – reply to this

    157

John is an adult, and he no what he was doing! Not only nick is to blame. Nick is the lucky one, he just got prison time. John has somt thoug time in life. bot bputh are to blame!!!!
    Wish them both luck!!!

  58. Amanda says – reply to this

    158

I can't believe how ignorant so many of you people are.

Unless you have ever been on the other side of a situation like this (ie the Hogan side), you shouldn't judge. Speaking as someone who has been in the Hogan family's position, I reccomend you all watch what you say, because I guarantee you would come to the defense of your family member if something like this happened to them, not trash them like you are now.

    You people are disgusting.

  59. Lisha says – reply to this

    159

Well, I commend him for pleading no contest and taking his sentencing. He could have used his name and family to drag things out and then complain about it, but he did what anyone who knows they made a mistake should do. Other celebs should take note!

  60. elise says – reply to this

    160

Um.. he should get more time than that. Some1 is brain dead as a result of the accident he caused.

  61. Jamie says – reply to this

    161

Re: Forreals – I agree with the sentiment, but they didn't kill anyone. Yes, his friend is technically dead.

  62. Rev Jesse Jackson says – reply to this

    162

here we go again! the black man being blamed for a white man's crime. this whole thing started when nick was giving me a ride to kfc for a free sample of their new chicken wing's when I got a call from louis farakon saying they were about to run out of free sample's so I told him to step on it and that's when it happened, we drove right through a flock of roller pigeon's. we scooped up as many as we could and went home to pluck and clean them and get them in that new deep fryer I purchased last week. we are still planning on using the chewbaca defense in case you were wondering because my momma said it alway's worked for here when she was going to court for sticking firecracker's up frog's butthole's and the town mayor alway's wanted to press charges for ruining perfectly good food.

  63. BS says – reply to this

    163

The other kid is screwed forever but it was a horrible choice for him as an ADULT to get into the car with a 17 yo. They both new the risks as they have both raced cars together. Common lets be honest…..coma boy is as much responsible as Nick

But why are you saying that Nick should've gotten more, what a douchebag blabla? Of course he deserves punishment, but he's a 17 year old kid and John was just as stupid is Nick for going into that car with him.

    185

accident or not, he made his friend a vegetable.
The hogans are not a close and loving family- if that was the case why are they in the midst of a divorce? Its fair in a way but I think he should have got more community service hours/year. Thats not even 2 hours a week once hes out. I work more than that in 2 weeks. Wether his friend got in the car on his own free will or he made him get in the car nick needed to be consequenced. plain and simple.

  86. j says – reply to this

    186

as long as he is in for the full 5 years. its a pretty good deal. lets not act retarded and say he should die or serve life. He didn't intentionally try to kill anyone. and lets remember his friend knowingly got into the car with him, while intoxicated so he's not solely to blame.

  87. playfunjoysmile says – reply to this

    187

Nick is a fine young man to stand up and take responsibility. God will bless him with a new and wiser start in life when he returns home. He didn't diva or power trip or deny. He stood in court and accepted his punishment. Glod Bless him. My prayers are with both families. This is just tragic and it could have happened to any of us who drank and drove too fast as teens. A sad day all around.

  88. Dudelidoo says – reply to this

    188

He should stay in prison as long as is friend stuck to a hospital bed, or got a 1 years in Irak as a foot soldier…

  89. PT says – reply to this

    189

This is a 17 year old kid here. The guy was 21 at the time and he did NOT put his seatbelt on. Nick did. Who said Hulk gave Nick alcohol? John was of legal age and could have supplied it to him. I am not saying Nick is blameless at all but I have a 17 year old son and he has no idea of the consequences of his actions. I would be shattered if he ended up in jail. This won't bring John back but community service and all the rest will certainly help others. Jail will do what? Nick is happy because he was not cited as "at fault" meaning he is not a felon and this will not go down on his record. Once he is out of jail, the records will be sealed forever.

How many of your readers would like to join the family in the hospital room and help their semi dead relative take vitamins via feeding tube, change his diapers, and look at family photos of the one they lost to that wonderful rich family known as the Hogans? The Hogans don't have enough money for the shrink time they all need! Matter of fact, screw them, give those funds to the veterans's family along with whatever else the lawyers will get in their lawsuit. Stupid shit only has a GED at 17, super fast rich boy cars, multiple citations for driving, and was drunk when the accident wherein he was the driver, the controller of the vehicle…8 months seems too little, too late. Hell awaits this kid and his family of trailer trash…wait a minute, why slim those people who choose to live in trailers…the Hogans are just trash! Italian trash at that!
