Nick Hogan is going behind bars!
The 17-year-old was sentenced by a judge in Florida on Friday in his tragic car crash case and he will begin serving time immediately.
The Hulkster's son plead no contest to reckless driving and this is the price he has to pay:
- 5 Years Probation
- 8 Months in Jail
- 500 Hours of community service, no buyout available
- 3 Years of Drivers License suspension
- No alcohol for 5 years
- DUI school completed within the first year of probation
- Paying court costs.
Update: Hogan's lawyer is saying that "Nick's happy" with the sentencing.

dayumm…foxy brown beat down a manicurist and got a year in jail. wesley snipes didn't pay taxes….he got YEARS in federal prison. this bitch practically kills someone and gets 8 mos. Thank goodness brandy got off or I'd be pissed! lol

2 much time I think he's only 17 people he made a mistake. It's not like he set out to do harm. John's family should ashamed of dragging his BF to court when they both had some responsability in the crash. I was watching the local news in Tampa, and they mentioned nothing about jail time. Just 5 years probation. I don't think this info is accurate.

Living in clearwater and going to school with the bolleas and knowing brooke on a close basis when i was younger their family is so strong and linda and terry always saying high and just a nice family this is hard to see. The area that nick got in the crash is what i drive almost every day to go home and it was a bad choice to do something of that nature in that area. nicks punishment seems just, jail is definetly going to give nick a harsh lesson. i think comments made about how dumb and annoying the family is rediculous. they were one of the strongest families i knew in the area. i think nick will learn his lesson and my prayers goes out to the graziano family and as well the bolleas especially brooke who was a very sweet person who never meant to hurt anybody all comments made harsley towards nick and his family are disrespectful. and accident of this severity could have happened to anyone no matter how carful or careless you are. my hearts go out to everyone involved in this accident and i hope john can recover more in someway from this accident
You can't get 2 years or 5 years on a case that the max penalty was 1 year.
imo 8 months is nothing for the damage this ASSHOLE caused to his friend.i hope that poor kid will recover as soon as possible.i think the judge should make Hogan pay all medical costs for john's hospitalization.

Boy, the Judge really threw the book at him, considering the DUI was even thrown out. Even DUI cases (in Florida) where someone is seriously injured, don't get jail time if it is a first time offense. Considering the DUI was thrown out, and he is a minor, the judge was pretty harsh on him. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it, but when you compare it to other similar cases in Florida, it's not a light sentence.

I appreciate that Nick took responcibility for his actions, even when he knew he was going to get time for it…most others wouild have denied it. John unfortunately had a part too, in being young and stupid; we were all there once…I think most of my anger is for the parents (maybe John's too, but I don;t know much about them); they really encouraged this lifestyle, and bought the beer too. What a bunch of screw ups.

My aunt was killed by a drunk driver and it DEVASTATED the family. Drinking and driving is a serious offense. He got what he deserves - actually, I think they could have been a little tougher!

I saw on his dad's show how "badly" he wanted to get into car drifting, so his dad leveraged his connections to get a sweet car for him to race in, and what did he do? CRASHED IT. This should have been an early indication that his license needs to be taken away! sheeet

i hate stories like this. its truly devestating. i think its a lot of people's faults in this horrific accident. everyone had the right to say no. i feel nick should had at least gotten the full year sentence bc thats what the vicitms family wanted, but im glad he at least took some responsibility. like the father said nick hardly went to visit his friend in the hospital. if he was truly upset you know he would do naything you could to be with his friend. im sorry this had to happen to both these families. i hope there lives get back on some "normal" track.

Why isn't anyone else being held accountable? Hogan's attorney made a great point of repeating that their was one minor involved in the incident and three adults. Regardless of the fact that he is a "celebrity's child", he is still a minor.

I agree that Nick should be punished. But Nick and all his friends(including the victim) drank and raced cars. It just so happened that the time they got in an accident Nick was driving. It could have been the other way around. So its not like the victim was forced in to that car or was in innocent bystandard crossing the street. He knew what he was getting himself into, they had all done this before. So Nick should be punished but the victim should get no money(suing the Hogans). Everyone has to live with their consequences. Including a boy who wants to be in a car while his friend races it.

Re: Meh – Of course he is not going to aplogize to the family. It is easy to say how apologizing is the right and civil thing to do, but doing that can be contsrued as admitting guilt. I am sure Nick's attorney advised him not to have any contact with the victim. Although I am sure Nick felt very badly about the accident, it is only prudent to conduct yourself in a manner that is not going to get yourself in anymore hot water than you are already in.

I see your point genghis - Legal wise - not apologizing is probably a smart thing to do…but he could have done something to show remorse, or try to do something good (ie - volunteer at an appropriate organisation). I feel he and his family are too stupid to feel an emotion like remorse.

I met and waited on the entire family, and despite the issues they have . They are all extremely nice people, as well as down to earth.
