I don't think he should get any time…maybe probation…but not jail time! The Graziano guy was 21 at the time of the accident, he should've worn his seat belt! Florida law states that if the passenger is 18 or older they are responsible for their OWN seatbelt!!!!! I'm so sick of people making Nick the bad guy!!!! Graziano should have had his seatbelt on..END OF STORY!!!!!
I feel bad for him…he has deep wrinkles and that stupid grin he had is gone forever. His parents put him in this position with their allowing all the tickets and crazy driving in fast cars they provided.

Here in NJ there was an obit in the Star Ledger last week. Parents in Italy on vaca….warm sunny day….17 year old kid driving around in Daddys convertable Corvette. Quiet country road, no other vehicle involved…kid lost control and hit a tree. Dead.

nicks time will be in county jail. Any sentence under a year is in county. Being famous will get him a single cell prob in medical wing. He should be in general population and hear of other problems that may open his young mind to what people face and deal with when they don't have pricey defense.

PEOPLE!!!! Nick was sentenced to eight measly months for his cockiness and disrespect for the law which he was taught by his MOTHER AND FATHER!!!! My God, I wish they could be charged criminally!!! They let their minor child drive a souped up sports car after not 1 but FOUR INSANE speeding tickets???? Regardless, he was not a 10 year old boy pulling a prank, but a 17 year old, soon to be a "legal aduly" making a ridiculous, selfish, awful and horrible decision, *in my opinion, I think Nick thought it was his RIGHT and he was ABOVE the LAW, due to his lack of parenting. There are a lot of lessons we can all learn from this incident: dont drink and drive (not even one drink), don't break the law and drink underage, don't get in the car with a driver who has gotten multiple speeding tickets or who you know can be impulsive and drive dangerously, don't ride in a car with a lot of people (too many people=too many distractions), young drivers are competent but often times have not totally mastered driving so it's just better to avoid riding with them on an often basis, don't have the radio blasting or be constantly fiddling with ipod or cell phone while driving, always always always wear your seat-belt, don't get in the car with a tired, agitated, or angry driver. For highschool kids trying to get home before curfew, if you're running late call your parents tell them you're running a little late, face the music for being out too late, and don't speed or drive fast trying to make it home before curfew because I have known several young people who have been killed in wrecks due to hurrying to make it home before curfew and their parents would have much rather them call and drive safely than race to get home and get hurt. Ok I've rambled too too much…all my apologies. Peace, love, and sliced bread.

As much as what happened that night was devastating and obviously a very bad decision on nick's part, as well as the victim's (hes not innocent either, you guys), i feel bad for nick. he's 17 and yes, he likes cars and their speed, but i could say that for a lot of people. can you honestly default him for what happened? this kind of accident happens everyday but it doesnt get media coverage like nick's accident (obviously since he's hulk hogan's son). i'm sure nick learned his lesson the night of all of this…not only does he have to carry out what the judge ordered him to do, but he has to live with this for the rest of his life, knowing what he did to his best friend and his family … i think that's punishment enough

His being a "minor" isn't the same as if he were an 8 year old, people. He's almost legally an adult, and he's been illegally street-racing cars since he got his license. For those of you who are saying this "happens all the time," I would beg to differ. I can't tell you the last time I heard about a 100 mph crash, involving a minor, who had been drinking, who was driving a souped-up car, and who had gotten numerous high-speed speeding tickets but hadn't slowed down his style. He deserves everything he gets. John is in a life sentence, and yes, he should've been wearing his seatbelt, but as others have pointed out - looking at the car, it might not have mattered. If John dies, this case turns into vehicular manslaughter. What will you Nick defenders say then? Oh, and to me, Nick hasn't shown an ounce of remorse for what he did to John - only sadness for his own predicament. If he really cared about John, he would've been by his bedside this entire time… It's telling that he hasn't.

I live in Tampa and watched the entire trial. Tis guy is not sorry for his actions. He and his family tried to place blame upon the victms family . The only thing Dick is sorry for is that he lost his poor car.
